[Q] Using N7105 running CM11 M11, extremely low in-call volume - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

Dear all, this is a big issue that I've been trying to solve and it has been 3 hours since I tried looking for a solution.
I've just flashed CM11 M11 on my N7105 (Note 2 LTE) and everything works fine. However, the in-call experience is devastating. The volume is so low!
I tried all these methods:
1.) Install Viper4Android - apparently it doesn't help the in-call volume
2.) Import default_gain.conf - CM Rom doesn't actually use this file. I searched my phone and this file never came up. I decided to put it in system/etc anywayz, and rebooted my phone. Nothing happened
3.) Turn down volume and up again during a call. Worked, but had to do it all the time
Can anyone suggest a way to workaround this? Thanks

[Q] Call Audio issues in ICS

I installed Resurrection Remix 2.5.1 (ICS) yesterday with the CM9 Kernel. Everything works (i think) up until I tried making a phone call. I have no audio during phone calls (I can still make them, i just can't hear or be heard). Audio works in other apps, such as music and games. The mic works when i try to use voice commands. I reflashed RR 2.5.1 with again, and tried the Siyah Kernel, and again using fluxi Kernel. I've rebooted the phone a dozen times, still no luck.
I had this issue the last time i tried to use an ICS rom (i tried 3 or 4 different roms about 3 months ago, all had the same issue). I downgraded to a GB rom (Unleased)and the phone was fine.
Any ideas?
(Aslo is the hardware back button and search button supposed to be disabled in ICS?)
2.5.1 is an AOKP ROM so I would suggest that from GB you flash an ICS stock firmware via Odin to get the bootloader installed properly and then you will need to do a full-wipe(possibly format system/data/cache if it helps)and then install.AOKP if not installed properly over AOSP will cause problems.

The i9100 doesn't have a search button. The i9100 has a hardware home button, with a menu button on one side, and a back button on the other. This is the forum for the i9100...
If you really meant what you said about your phone having a search button, then I doubt you have an i9100. Check the label under your battery for model number.
EDIT to add; if you DO in fact have an i9100 and are just confused about the search/menu button... It sounds like you could also be describing an issue caused by a missing /efs/imei/keystr file. Do you also lack a power button menu, and the phone just shuts off if you hold the power button down? If so, are you missing that file?
If the answer is yes, make sure you are rooted, create an /efs/imei/keystr file containing the word ON.
Hmm. i didnt notice the AT&T version of the phone (the I777) had its own subforum. That's probably most of my issue, thanks for pointing it out.

Google play and audiofx
The audiofx app doesn't appear to have any effect on the music playing from the google play music app. I've tried going into the audiofx app from within play music, but I just can't get it to work on play music. Not too sure whether audiofx has any affect on other apps other than the default music app. I'm on the latest build (20150111 V2)
Other than that, I can't find any problems. Great work!
no vibration
Hi! This is a great ROM!
Is there a option to activate Vibration?
Bluetooth audio fix by one click
At least for me with my car hi-fi (LAC7000) on the latest nightly dirty flashed over 12. Click Bluetooth, than the device connected for, the gear next to it. Uncheck the first and the third. Like the screenshot attached.

As in vibrate mode? Sure! Just keep pressing the volume down button when there's no media playing and you'll feel the phone switch to vibrate.

Media volume can be changed within the sound and notification settings in the settings and also when media is playing. There's also an option to also vibrate for calls in the sound and notification settings as well.
Thanks!
After closely watching the development for a month, yesterday I decided to flash it with some outdayed cwm based PhilZ Touch recovery. The install was not successful, and even broke the recovery :S This freaked me out a bit, but after successfully fastboot-flashing stock firmware and newest cwm, I tried again today. The result was the most butter smooth android lollipop experience! Thanks for this amazing rom
Recovery Doesn't work for me
Hi !
First thanks for your amazing rom Infected_ .
For me I have a problem with recovery , it doesn't work with CM12 Recovery ( I can't flash any zip files from my sd card), I must install CM11 recovery V6.0.5.1 which is working very well. When I want to update cm12, I must install CM11 recovery each time.
Do you have a solution for this?
Reboot doesn't works for me, only power off my phone.
Thanks a lot
Build 2015-01-14
Big thx to you infected for your amazing work. Keep it up !
build 2015-01-14 with included kernel
- bluetooth is seriously ****ed up (reboot, switching on/off doesn't help) (i hear something for a second or two then it stops)
- call keeps ending after a minute or so (without speaker phone, i didn't try speaker phone)
That's it
Lockscreen background
Maybe i`m blind, but is there a point to change the Lockscreen background ???
Upgrading to the 20150116 from 20150112v2 via a dirty flash caused it to fail to boot (stuck at the Sony logo). Required me to format System and clean install. Total pain in the ass cause I hadn't done a backup (I'm an idiot, complacency is gonna be my downfall).
Just a gentle reminder to do backups frequently when flashing nightlies!
Super stoked with the ROM, the camera quality is fantastic (better than stock I think - I rooted before you could backup your TA partition and I think my camera quality was never quite the same).
Solution?
I had the exact same problem with the kernel you use, only I managed to wipe both the rom and the recovery. After I flashed a stock fw and the newest cwm (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2702001) I could finally flash this rom.
Testing Results for latest version (nightly 1-16-15)
This build is in very good shape. Throughout my wanderings, I have noticed that only a few things that could be fixed (these might have already been recommended, but I am posting them anyways). First, the physical camera button does not work. I understand it is hard to build that button into a CM build, but I figured I would just write it down. I already know that someone has posted this recently, but I would just like to confirm. Another thing is that the double tap to wake feature in the display settings does not function. It can be selected, but the feature will not function, and sometimes the toggle undoes itself after a short period of time anyways. Although, it does not function even right after enabling the feature through the settings. I would also like to ask about charging. I believe CM does not support quick charging at this time, but I have noticed that it takes significantly longer to charge my device than stock rom. I have tried a variety of chargers, and I achieve the same result. I am just using standard 2.0-2.4 Amp chargers that my device has always used. I just have noticed that it takes a long time to charge (significantly longer than my OPO, but that thing charged faster than my Z2 in the first place). Last thing that I have noticed is very minor. On stock rom, the camera had an option for 16:9 15.5 MP shots that I frequently used since I do not really like 4:3 photos. I know the camera was a pain to get working in the first place, but this setting is not present anymore (in the included app and third-party apps). Anyways, these builds are really nice, much better than I expected for nightly revisions, so thank you!
DT2W works 20150118.
TWRP
Hi there,
first of all great work! The Rom ist just running fine on my device. The only problem seems to be the delay on calls.....but that's nothing to worry about^^. The other problem i have.....i flashed the twrp recovery several times. The twrp recovery does start....but only with the *.bat installer in windows. When i try to start it from the device it doesnt work. Instead, the cm12 recovery does start. Did i miss smth?
Greets form germany ;D
Got some problems with last build. Phone restarts after shutting down. Calls on Viber, Hangouts and Skype are broken. So I cant hear the other person. but he can hear me.

This is an issue, but you can update supersu by flashing the latest zip file here: download.chainfire.eu/supersu
I'm sorry for not posting a link, but XDA won't allow me to because of how new my account is. Just copy and paste that to get to Chainfire's SuperSu download page

Low volume in call

Hi everyone
I bought an OPX 1,5 years ago.
Since, i've been working with different ROM:
* First of all: Ashwin's CM 13 ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/on.../rom-cyanogenmod-13-x-oneplus-x-onyx-t3279784)
* Then this mod by SultanXDA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...m-kernel-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-0-t3375221)
* I use Xposed, BusyBox, pico gapps.
* Now i use Resurrection Remix (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/development/caf-resurrection-remix-rom-t3419167)
One day, my volume in call drop all of a sudden (when i was under Sultanxda's ROM). So i thought it was because of an upgrade... so i waited and upgraded the version, but nothing happened.
So i changed the ROM with a clean wipe (data/cache/dalvik cache/system), but nothing happened.
I tried different apps, nothing happened.
I tried to clean the dust on the ear speaker. Nothing happened.
I tried to modify some value in the file "mixer_paths.xml". Nothing happened.
So i'm here, with my OPX, and i can't call without putting the speaker outloud, because the earphone piece is very, very low (of course the volume is maximum).
I have some questions:
1) Wich value does i have to change in mixer_paths.xml ? Maybe i did it wrong
2) If i got the "stock file" and replace mixer_paths.xml, will it work ?
3) Anyone have an idea ?...
Disclamer: of course, i'm not blaming any of the dev for their amazing work, that's not my goal. I'm just tryin to solve my own problem, and maybe it will help other people. And sorry for the mistakes, i'm not english.
Thanks for your help !

P9000 Cyanogenmod Stable 5 Microphone&Speaker NOT working

Hey,
so I recently got the P9000 and I am very happy with it in General. There is just one big Problem, I am very used to Cyanogenmod on all my devices so I tried installing it in this phone, everything worked fine except for the microphone and the Speaker, Calls go through but I cant talk neither hear anything. Everytime I Start the phone it also says AudioFX was shut down. I also Tried listening to music or any sound for that matter but nothing works. I then installed the Stock ROM and everything works like a charm so I can rule out a Hardware issue. But the Stock ROM is just not cutting it for me in terms oft usability and options and I would much rather switch back to CM. Tried it again yesterday, clean install and everything, Microphone and Speaker are not working.... Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Any help greatly appreciated.

First of all thank you for the tip, in the meantime I installed Android 7 beta to have a look at it. Is there any way to go back to Stock ROM on Android 6 so I can install CM13 Final Build 3? I have tried flashing Recovery and STOCK ROM via SP Flash but it won`t work. I click Download, connect the phone while pressing the Vol+ and it says Downloading, goes up to 100% but the red bar is still there, then nothing happens. Every Flash of Stock or CM Recovery I did before that worked just fine so I guess it has something to do with Android 7. If there is no way I guess I`ll stick with Android 7 for now but I´d rather switch to CM.
There is a way...it has to do with the Android...it changes the preloader and the boot partition. Take this file from deepflex: https://yadi.sk/d/40K4mWLauUddk and flash with sp-tools. Finally flash the TWRP-Recovery from Jonny with flashtools. At the end do a full wipe and install the cm13.1 (Final 3) and the opengaaps.
Got it to work, I used a slightly different approach but right now I am finally installing CM13 Final Build 3, lets see if it works out fine! Thanks again for your help :good::good:

Question about volume

Hi my phone is running stockrom Nougat 1.54 with green kernel. I have a problem with its audio output the volume is too low. So I edited the mixer_paths.xml in the system. I edited the "speaker" one the RX7. Then I restarted my phone. I tried to test it in the first 0.5s of the volume is loud after that it will revert again. Can you help me how to make it work like it will not revert after I'd changed it?
The same thing happens to me, I join your request
