Always wanted to root it.
Would you recommend a custom ROM and if so, which one and why that particular one?
Or would you recommend just rooting it and if so, how?

Hello everyone new in this s2 forum. My co worker is having terrible battery with his s2 and he wants me 2 root it and get him the custom rom. He has 19100m 2.3.3 what's the easiest way to root this thing and get recovery? Any help be much appreciated. Thanks

If you have the international version the no. That rom is for verizon i545 only. If you flash it there will be a really good chance at a hard brick

So my Samsung mega At&T SGH-I527 phone is rooted and would like to put a custom rom on it , but when I run rom manager it asked me to make a custom recovery and I am not sure how to proceed from this point.

Can't be done yet. Needs bootloader unlocked or workaround.

Hi. I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Mega i9152. Are there any custom ROMs like cyanogenmod out there for this phone? I cant seem to find any. If anyone knows please share the link and the procedure for installation. really appreciate it. If there aren't any then will cyanogenmod 10.1 work for this phone (using twrp that is)?

There is no custom rom yet for our i9152. The closest to a custom rom is cokelat which is more of a modification like deodexed and zipaligned.

I rooted my I9152 just for the custom roms. actually i am new to rooting and stuffs and now I realized that my phone has no custom roms available -_-
You can backup your apps using titanium backup, transfer application data to sd card using gl to sd, make a nandroid backup clone of your whole phone, view system app using root explorer all you can do when rooted.
