EDIT:
I installed some older version, but when I am opening & clicking on ACCEPT tab,
its showing alert "A cellular data network is required to activate WhatsApp Messenger"..
did any1 else tried or trying !!???!!
i didn't try but doubt that it will work due to the lack of mobile phone number which whatsapp needs to run.
But I think it works on Samsung Galaxy Tab!!!

Messenger app.
ppl are able to install whatsapp on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (WiFi version n WITHOUT root)
sent via awesome aRc (rooted 2.3.4)
If you are able to copy the app configuration from /data/data/whatsapp from your phone to your tablet it should be working. I am waiting of my Sony tablet and will try it by myself ... but theoretically it should work if we have the rights to copy files to this folder.
from where to copy?
whatsapp folder is created at /sdcard/.. level in phone!!
sent via awesome aRc (rooted 2.3.4)
as I wrote before ... /data/data/com.whatsapp
on /sdcard you will find only transfered media files ...
the app is installed on /data/app and the conf. data on /data/data/
this is valid for all non-system apps ...
try a file manager like "root explorer" or "file expert" but I don't if it will work without root access rights ... please try and report ...
-- Edit --
please take a look at this post ... that could be the solution for us ..

I remember .. but root is not a "must have" for Titanium Backup. I still waiting for my Sony tablet (will receive it tomorrow) but from my understanding the normal /data/app and /data/data folder are r/w enabled and you need no root to put something into ... otherwise every app would need root access to install ... could you try it with Titanium backup as described in the linked post please and report ? Thanks in advance.

Let me knoe if u could do. I have installed VIBER.

I grabbed WhatsApp from my SonyEricsson Xperia Arc S (swedish) with TitaniumBackup Pro and copied it over to my Sony Tablet S.
TitaniumBackup Pro does not work well on this tablet. I did not get the three menu-buttons you have on top on smartphones. So I could not choose backup/restore.
So I decided to try another route. I took the backuped files from Titanium in my smartphone and moved them to my tablet (the apk-file) and installed it with astero. It went well. I started up the app, and it said it didn't recognized my device. So I copied the data-files from /data/data to the tablet. It did not help.
So I did not managed to get WhatsApp to work on my tablet. Other than get to the startup where I have to press "approve" then it told me it's a no go.
I even tried to reboot the device, but it didn't help.
Hope this might answer some of your questions.

Yes, it works !!
I am hold up top the Internet using a mobile WiFi hot spot device. It has a data SIM card inside and has a number attached to it. Can I use this to to link to Viber? How about normal home WiFi?
Is Viber available on the market? Can't seem to be able to find it.
I have noticed that ever since I've had my atrix, the accelerometer has been off by a few degrees to the left. Does anyone know if there is a way to calibrate it? Maybe someone who is really familiar with android could tell me where to look in order to modify the values for the default calibration... I have no idea where to start.
Anyone else have this issue?

Maybe is silly but did you try to calibrate compass?
How does one do that?

Don't see any such option on cm7.
Is that on the stock rom or some other blur based rom?

Almost stock.
I don't know about other ROMs, but CM-based ROMs don't have this option.
To calibrate the compass, install and run GPS Status & Toolbox, then go to MENU > Tools > Compass calibration.
Well I'm back on nottachtrix and I did calibrate the compass... accelerometer still off though.

I tried the app man, but it didn't work, I have tried so many things, I evens install cm7 and then tried to calibrate it using sensonr tester but nothing, the accelerometer is still off. Please any help? I can tell that that gps app doesn't work because after trying to calibrate it with that I downloaded labyrinth and lying the font flat on a table the ball was moving to the right. Please man I really need help here.
Another problem I have with the atrix is that the new version of yutube does not works, I don't knkow why, Many says that is because of some codes and the cpu, but I tried MIUI v5 and the youtube was working fine, so, please help me there too.
I am trying to upload a video review of miui v5 on the atrix 4g

Hi man, sorry for bothering you again, but I tried to overwrite the file with the file that you gave me but when I tab on paste it says permission denied. My phone is rooted and I am ussing file explorer. What can I do to overwirte the file?
Depends of the file manager/explorer you must mount /system as r/w. In SE file explorer open left side menu, scroll down to root explorer, enable and tap it, you'll get menu with mount r/w option, select rw for system.
Yes, I have already done taht

I undestand what you say, I have already done that, that is why I can get to the system folder but when I try to overwrite the file it says permission denied. why? is it because the superuser app is updating its binary? I will wait until the update is over and try it again. Thanks
You may try to move file to safe location (BACKUP!!!) and then copy new one. Set permission as before.
yes man, Everything ready

the binary just finished updating and I just overwrote the files. Is this it to fix the calibration problem? or do I have to do something else?
Reboot your phone (will reboot itself if you try to use gps), go outside and test with GPS Status & Toolbox. Maybe you need to select internal gps in phone settings.
Good luck
a little something

Man, sorry about this but before I replaced the file (with its original file) the g-sensor on the bubble app use to give me the number 00,1 and 04, but now it gives 01,7 and 05,9. So I think that must be something in that file that I can change to fix that problem. Please can you xplain to me how to change the code of that file or if you can can do it for me it would be wonderful. thanks again.
Have a nice day
So still doesn't work?
Dear all,
I really like the ES File Explorer but I have a strange problem.
It just crashes very often, during exploring the files on my internal or external SD.
To figure out the cause, I tried to
- used a differend SD-card
- used a stock rom with full wipe
- used a differend SGIII with my SD-card
but the problem is still unsolved.
I hope, anyone has an idea for a possible solution.
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards
Mario
Tried clearing data?
Yes, but it was still the same.

If you want to avail this feature to move apps data to sd card you need to root the phone(Use kingo app for rooting) and install gl2sd app from playstore.
This app will copy the huge data of bigger games and few apps to sd card. That way you will be able to free up lots of space. You can then install many heavy data games on your phone and enjoy.
But yes you have to root the phone first. If you're afraid of warranty, then don't worry you can make the status back to official and get the warranty back. There a tool called triangle away to do that. So, if you want to have this feature then root. Go ahead and try if needed and enjoy. Cheers ! ! !:good:
Let me know if any issues.

Out of Space : Unable to install some apps
Hi everyone!
Pardon me, I'm just new here, I signed up bcoz I'm losing hope now.
I'm having issue installing "some" apps on my phone. (some are installing)
Search and tried TS steps found online to no success.
TS steps done:
Restarted the phone
Clear Cache on the recovery mode
Clear cache on each application through setting>application manager
Clear cache using android assistant
Tried the MMI code *#9900# and deleted dumpstate/logcat
Deleted the "mysterious large file" .thumbdata
Checked and deleted some odex files
Checked and deleted files under android/data
Installed Lucky patcher (no troubleshooting option)
Unable to install logcat
Unable to search appslib or app-lib
Phone information:
Galaxy grand quattro
Not rooted, stock ROM
phone memory : 1.74GB/ 5GB
SD card 1.5GB/ 32GB
Running process (under applct'n manager): 662MB used, 219MB free
RAM status : 568MB/845MB
I can just reset my phone to factory default but that's just avoiding the problem, I would like to resolve the root cause of the problem. (without rooting the phone)
I believe that we can resolved this issue.
Thank you in advance.

First of all make your phone rooted (then only you can delete modify files) use odin to flah CWM recovery and install superSU with CWM, some apk need root access ( like lucky patcher, root explorer) then use root explorer and go to sdcard/andriod /data and delete only the files which are not working and then try to install them it will work.
Here is the link to rooting :

Hi everyone I'm having some issues when updating my phone to a new version of android, the phone I have is the Huawei Ascend P2 this morning there was an update available to install to I downloaded it and proceeded to install but during the installation process I got an error and the update was aborted, I tried this several time with the same result I get assert failed: apply_patch_check I know there have been threads about this before and I tried following some of the steps but it never resolved the issue. I have rooted my phone and deleted the browser from my phone using root app delete as it was slow and useless. I saw a guide on there that that required me to download the apk for the app causing the issue and to place it back into the system/app directory I did that but the issue still remains. I also saw another guide that said I have to edit something I tried to follow it but as I'm not so android savvy I didn't understand it and was unable to try it for myself. Any help would be much appreciated from you guys, I know some of you may be annoyed at me by posting a thread about an issue that has been solved before and for that I appologise I have tried some of the suggestions made but still unable to resolve this, any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The error I get is assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/app/Browser.apk
I have the same problem, an update was released for my phone but it fails the check because of the build.prob. you could try to backup your phone and the do a factory reset on the phone
Factory reset is not going to make the Browser app work.
When you moved it into the /system/app folder, do you remember if you changed the permissions? Since it is a system app, it needs to have different permissions than a regular app from the Play Store. It'd be simple to test - Does the app show up in the app drawer? Can you open it? If not, you either have the wrong version of the Browser.apk or you have not set the permissions to: RW-R-R.
For the build.prop issue - Are you rooted? Have you made any changes to it or installed any apps that would adjust it? This could be for anything from changing the wifi scan interval to memory management apps. If so, then you can grab an unchanged one and copy it to your phone, set permissions, and reboot. Have to make sure it is the right one, or it won't boot at all and you'd need to restore the entire phone. If you have CWM or TWRP then definitely nandroid before attempting anything like that. If you don't understand any of this, then best to get some help and do not attempt yourself.
I havĂȘ changed it yes.thats WY i need an unchanged one to compare it.and i AM Also rooted.

How did you change it? Most tools that edit the build.prop also create a backup. You might search for it with a root explorer. Typically, it'd be labeled like:
build.prop.bak
If that's the case, then rename the modded version and remove the .bak off the original, make sure the permissions are set still and reboot. Other than that, you'll just have to hope someone responds to your request in the P2 thread.
Cant i do a full phone repair? My old Sony had that feature from the PC. It completely erased everything and flash a stock ROM

I think the only way that they released to the public for updates is the update.app way. I'm sure they have a tool @ a service center. Dunno why they wouldn't put it out. But this is why you don't make changes to the system without backing it up. I take it you don't remember what you changed in the build.prop, just to undo it?
