[Q] softbricked htc desire 601 zara - HTC Desire 601

2 days ago my phone went from running perfectly to turning off and getting stuck in a boot loop, I'm assuming it had something to do with supersu updating because i noticed a popup about the binaries needing updating before the crash. I couldn't load recovery (would show team win logo then reboot) but i could load safe mode, i tried downgrading to lower versions of su ( i tried 2.13, 1.8 and 2.01) but that didn't work my phone would boot normally, i could access it for about a minute then it would reboot and do it all over again. i had originally followed this guide (URL at the bottom as i can't post links) so last night i attempted to just re do it all following the same guide. I got the recovery mode to boot and wiped the cache but i still had the same issue where i could access my phone for a minute before crashing. Now when i try to enter recovery it shows the htc logo and immediately reopens boot loader on the fast boot option. I rurally don't want to go out and buy a new phone so any help is appreciated. My current PC access is fairly limited but i can use one if i have to.
Also when i launched safe mode i noticed id get an error report after a few minutes, not sure if thats relevant but it never showed up when i booted normally.

Please HELP! cannot get into recovey!

Okay about a month ago I root my gf evo 3d , she has hboot 1.5 so I followed the steps on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239821.
Everything has been working fine up until about a week ago , her phone started running hot and the battery would drain really quick with barely any usage. So my plan was to do a factory restart and full wipe and reinstall the rom fresh but when I tried to get into recovery the phone just shuts off , then goes to the boot screen then after the boot screen the phone just restarts itself. I even tried to do a factory reset from the phones menu options and the same things happens. The ways I tried getting into recovery are by using the shutdown menu options (hold power , reboot , recovery) , I've also tried rom manager and last I tried getting to recovery from bootloader and nothing seems to work.
I am completely lost PLEASE! HELP!

You should reflash your recovery to TWRP using fastboot. Then boot into recovery using fastboot. From there you should be able to do a complete wipe and flash a ROM. It is outlined in the thread you linked OP and second post. Feel free to come into the d3rp q+a thread in my sig if you need more help.
It worked thanks you

As a heads up to some of the inner workings.
All the methods you listed are correct methods of booting into the recovery. ROM Manager selecting boot recovery, booting into the bootloader and selecting recovery and also adb shell, reboot recovery.
The boot order goes: bootloader -> kernel -> recovery. Once you see the HTC screen or whatever custom splash screen is loaded, you know the device is now booting the kernel. At this point, if the device hangs on the splash screen or reboots again to the splash screen, something is wrong with the kernel "recovery" itself.
If you get this rebooting to splash screen or hanging on splash screen two or three times in a row, that should be sufficient to know, you have correctly booted the device into recovery mode and the next step is to reflash the recovery, essentially reloading it.
We can speculate on how/why the recovery became corrupt on your device, but in the end, these things sometimes just happen to no intentional fault of the user.
Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but if it does, hopefully this extra information will help prevent a bit of frustration the next time around!

So you mean, stuck at the splash screen(HTC with white screen) and reboot again and again is because of the recovery destroyed? My phone stuck at the splash screen for about 10 seconds and then reboot again and again. I have tried to flash many recovery images, includeing twrp 1.0.3, twrp 1.1.1, cwm-1.0.4, cwm-1.0.5, cwm-5.0.2, all failed to boot up into recovery:-(
Thanks in advance!

[Q] CMR boots, but main OS no longer boots

Hi, first of all I love this forum, this is my first time posting here but I found it indispensable when I was doing Android development-related stuff. However I've now managed to do some damage to my phone and need some expert advice!
So I was following the instructions on the CM wiki (I can't post external links yet but the address of the page is /w/Install_CM_for_i9100) for installing CM (I'm using a Mac). I got my phone into download mode and used Heimdall to flash ClockworkMod Recovery. This is where I think I went wrong: Heimdall found the phone fine and transferred everything, however the progress bar held at 'full' for about 5 minutes. After a while I thought it must be done and just doesn't have a confirmation once it's done, so I unplugged the phone and rebooted into ClockworkMod Recovery. Recovery boots up fine but when I try to connect using ADB the phone can't be found. When trying to boot up normally I now get the warning triangle below the Samsung Galaxy logo and the phone just turns off. Booting into download mode, Heimdall can no longer find the phone when it's connected. So, since I can't boot into my stock OS, and I can't transfer a new OS or re-flash CMR, does this mean my phone's bricked? Or is this a known issue with a fix? I've tried the search function on this board but can't find this exact issue.

SU binary update stuck at reboot

I know this is a known issue, but the thing is that most solutions i have found regard looking into the phone's settings.
The thing is I can't even boot my phone any more. The moment I get the Galaxy SIII GTI9300 logo the phone simply freezes there forever.
It's been like hours like this. I even tried removing the battery for half an hour and put it back. It just won't boot any more.
I didn't install a custom ROm after rooting, the phone was freshly rooted and didn't got to that step yet.
I rooted the device by using the toolkit http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...msung-galaxy-s3-unified-toolkit-v8-0-t1703488
which surprisingly worked pretty fast and I was able to confirm that my phoen was rooted by installing a root-only app (Root Uninstaller)
then i got a message asking me to update the SU binary and when i accepted the update the phoen restarted never to boot again.
I didn't even get the chance to get the ClockworkMod yet.
Now I don't even have ClockworkMod's menu at the beginning, i have nothing. only the classic boot mode that allows me to download software via Odin (which always fails no matter what package I try)
please help me, i have no other device than that right now....
Download-Mode
Hello and good morning,
have you tried to boot into download mode ?
It's the same like s3
Take the battery out for a few seconds . put it back in and boot into download mode again and it should work

[Solved] Acer Liquid Z220 stuck at boot screen (before boot animation screen)

Hello,
I've just encountered a problem with my phone that I purchased earlier this week. Due to it being an uncommon phone, there aren't many posts on how to root and flash TWRP, CWR for this model.
I followed this guide and rooted successfully with Kingoroot http://rootmygalaxy.net/root-acer-liquid-z220-android-smartphone-safely/ but seeing how some say that Kingo isn't as good as SuperSU, I looked for how to change from Kingo to SuperSU and followed this guide http://missingtricks.net/replace-kingroot-kinguser-with-supersu-superuser-android-guide/ .
I did, however, manage to flash TWRP and backed up my phone before changing from Kingo to SuperSU following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/help-acer-z220-root-recovery-t3275507
When SuperSU showed up on my screen asking to update binary I proceeded with the normal method then it was stuck loading during installation. It said to reboot if I see this screen for more than 5 minutes. I rebooted and it got stuck at the boot screen. I figured that factory resetting might solve but it didn't.
So now it is stuck at the boot up screen "Acer explore beyond limits powered by android" and will stay on until I force shut down.
-----
So I did something to my phone yesterday and it got stuck in a bootloop. Luckily I came across this site in Indonesian (had to use quite a bit of google translate) that showed how to flash the OS zip files from PC. http://kangsuper.blogspot.ca/2016/03/flash-acer-z220.html I followed the first method and my phone works again now. I was able to recover with TWRP after flashing and getting my phone to boot up.
Hope this might help others that have a similar problem with this phone model.

HTC 516 Desire Completely Bricked?

Hey, I'm new here and I'm generally pretty new to flashing and rooting android phones.
I've been stuck with this the whole day, started at 10am, it's 7pm now and I've still made no progress at all.
Anyway here's the problem....
I've got an HTC Desire 516 Dual Sim, (Europe), and over night the Phone just reset itself while it was charging. Was able to turn it back on in the morning, but eventually it reset and went into a boot loop ( Endless HTC Logo, Sometimes black screen just after).
I couldn't access anything, os I went into CWM Recovery and Wiped/Reset the phone to factory defaults. (Previous owned apparently put CWM on it.)
The problems persisted and the phone wouldn't get past the HTC Logo, not even black screen anymore. I've done some google searches, tried to boot into Fastboot and flash it with SP Flash Tool, found a ROM here, but the Fastboot (Volume Down + Power) Doesn't do anything, phone just boots into HTC logo and stays there.
Tried putting the rom onto an SDcard and installing it through CWM, wiped Dalvik Cache and everything, but once I start to flash the rom in CWM, the process just aborts automatically.
Anyway, I've been doing this the whole day, and I'd appreciate any help, plus, explain like i'm 5 please, since i'm not really that android savvy.
If there's an option to just completely reinstall the Recovery+Fastboot+Android System and it takes a very long time, I'll take it, since I can't really get a new mobile phone at the moment, hence why I'm stuck with the 516 in the first place.
Thanks a bunch for the replies guys
