I have a problem. I can't get stock firmware anyway. I tried allmost of treath to find a way thru the flashing of kdz, but every time i stuck on 4% and after it stop and told me that i need to reconnect device, i reconnect it and the same result is came. So im frustrated from it. I had stock with root and cwm, but i make a mistake and install ota , i was bricked after it. So i was sitting 3 days behind my pc and searching how to repair it. I was done but with pacman rom. And now i can not get back stock.
Ressolved: try to download vmware workstation 10.0, into install windows xp sp3 eng . And this system you dont get this wparam error and phone modem set as cs_emergency

Hello friends i resolved it..... everything what i need was win xp sp3 eng verzion and vsb offline method and now i flashing ny phone.... im really happy that i done it now im on 47%.
ITS UNBELIVABLE THAT THE PRoblem is operation system with czech localozation....
You should try with lg mobile support tool, is an app for pc in the option recovery from update error , a lot of people told that thats how the make a brick device to take back to life

My rom update failed, i tried 2 recover but it doesn't work.
1. i tried to reinstall the rom with ROMUpdateUtility,
but he says their is no previous version
2. i press update, again no current image
3. more then 0% i can't get
4. after 30 minutes still 0%, then suddenly

please read the hardspl carefully ... then try again!
Are you using Vista? If so Vista cannot communicate with the device in Bootloader mode meaning you cannot update your phone. Get XP you will have alot less problems and it will work. Vista is just not worth hassel as its only really a fancy XP with some extras chucked in.

not true, I have used 3 different vista machines to flash roms on many occasions and have never encountered any problems, i also have read messages from several other people that have never had a problem

Yes but you need to follow a tutorial to get it to work on Vista. Basically its easier on XP and you will have the least problems. You using Hard-SPL?

Wasted 4 euro's on trying Omnius getting the same error code as this guy:

If the flash tool gets stuck on that file, try another firmware.

If you can manage to get access to another pc, download SEUS or flashtool and try it there.
The only thing I can think of is keep holding down the "back" button untill the whole process is finished.

It probably has something to do with the installation of java on the faulty pc.
I've noticed it on a friend that had trouble flashing a mini pro with SEUS.

This happened to a friend of mine with a X10. His PC would upgrade his device to 2.1 while my laptop easily did. Same SW versions of PC companion.

mine is odd though my new pc cudnt even update my phone with sonyericsson pc companion but i could with my girlfriends old crappy laptop i guess thats just life.

just as a point of interest... the mini pro and X10i I have only flash from the usb port they were originally inserted into... not sure if this is a common issue but if I use any other USB port I get hangs and java problems.
Probably something to do with the way the device ID is recorded i suspect.
One question.. I am using the flashing tool but it seems that i got stuck flashing on amss.sin file... if I disconnect the phone would I kill it? I am saying this because in Motorola phones, if you disconnect the phone in the middle of the flashing process, the phone will be dead... By reading the posts before, it seems that this guy disconnected the phone but nothing happens... but I want to be sure,..

Well Just in case, nothing happened, I did not kill my phone. I flashed it but the whole process was so fast that I thought it was not successful. So, I flashed it again without disconnecting the phone (I was afraid of killing it) and the same thing happened.... after some hour I was brave enough to disconnect it... I turned it on and voila... it was showing the camera and after that I got the version 2.1. I hope this helps someone in the future.

Use "samfirmware" to flash your device with the stock firmware.
I cant even turn on my phone or go to download mode or recovery. Its totally dead. And there is just when i connect galaxy to pc it says installing some driver ! and at the end it wont install . i need to send my galaxy to samsung to fix it or there is solution i can make on my own ? please help !
Does it show anything on your screen at all when you hold down the power button?

Perhaps a picture of a Cellphone and a desktop PC with an X in the middle of it?

No i dont have any icons. And now i saw i must UnBrick it. So i installed ubuntu on my pc and i UnBricked my Galaxy s 5.0 and now it is in download mode. But Galaxy 5.0 must stay connected all time to stay in download mode. And i saw i must do something with Heimdall and i really dont know how to use it. I dont know how to use .deb file on ubuntu.
So i think i just need to flash it with Heimdall because there is no Odin for linux. But nobody wants to help me.

I believe that hemidall is also made for windows. I have never used hemidall though. Only Odin. I think the next step is to find the correct firmware for your device. I see lots of YP-G70 firmwares, but I noticed your model is YP-G70CB. I don't know what the CB stands for I'm afraid.
Also with your model number, is that the full model number shown behind the battery? Is there something like YP-G70CB/XEH or something after the forward slash. Or does it just say YP-G70CB and thats it? I am trying to see if I can find the right firmware for you, if it exists.
Behind the battery are just that numbers. U can find me a firmware but i cant install it. Beacuse my Galaxy 5.0 now is in download mode and im on linux and i must run Heimdall to flash it with a some frimware. But i am having troubles to installing Heimdall Frontend. So i just can watch my galaxy and do nothing
If you can get the Player into download mode now it should work with Odin.
In fact, at the moment Heimdall won't work (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511624)
You just need the right firmware files and then you should be able to flash it with Odin.
I'm guessing you have the international version and not the USA version of the device, if so you probably want to download one of the firmwares in this thread:

Yeah i have the Galaxy in the download mode but how u dont understand. I UnBricked my Galaxy on Ubuntu (linux) and now i must to flash it but i cant do it with Odin because Odin is not for linux. But i have Ubuntu and Win 7 on my pc. I restarted my pc and i went to Win 7 and i was opening Odin but odin didnt recognize my galaxy and dont know why but it was in download mode. your welcome actually it took me 6 days to figure out how to make virtual box recognize my player.i tried a lot of things but it didnt recognize it.
if you know linux well it should not be a problem for you at all.
i am completely noob with linux so this is why it took me 6 days.

Make sure to log out and log back in after installing virtualbox.

Download LG Mobile Support Tool and do the following steps:
..1. Remove the battery and the USB cable from phone.
..2. Without the battery, plug the USB cable and connect the PC to the phone with USB cable.
..3. Press and hold (VolumeUp) key and press (Power) key for 2/3 secs. You should see "S/W Upgrade" on the screen after a few seconds.
..4. Re-insert the battery in the phone.
..5. Start LG Mobile Support Tool(B2CAppSetup.exe), let it find the phone (and load drivers) and start the software update.

Hi Joseph CZ, perhaps you could try with adb via USB (from SDK tools), I'm not sure, though.
I think the easiest way is rooting and moving what you want...

Just recently i tried to install a custom rom on my phone. And tried to install a new firmware. Since im a noob im asking help. I just got this phone and im scared since i have no warranty on it. Ever since it has shut down , and when i turn it on it says security error then turns right off. Since then ive been searching for ways to recover my phone from this brick, and tried using LG update tool but the software would never download and leave me at time elapsed. Im stuck. I dont know what to do?? Can someone please help me unbrick my phone. I would really appreciate that Thanks for reading..

you can try cmahendra sir's 2 in 1 guide or if you can, go service centre, tell them that a update (0TA) showed, AND THEN this is happening. they will.install software for you. as warranty is over, they might charge (5$ here) for software work. I did a hell lot deep **** then you, kept working 6 hours, but wasn't able to fix the phone,went service centre and now typing via same phone.

man service centre, like you have for Nokia, Samsung etc, you can Google LG mobile service centre around your locality,.
doesn't matter it's metro or p778,768,765,760 etc etc etc.
as your warranty is over, you have no fear of them saying warranty void, as ultimately they will charge for the software transaction.
and I know how it feels to see your phone dying on you.
JUST DONT LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT ROOTING /BL/FASTBOOT .act like a dumb and tell them that you were trying to update your software by the wifi (software update OTA) and now this happened.

I have this serious problem and after reading a lot...and after trying a lot im still having problem.....
I tried to install a cwm on my p760 (without unlocked BL for my foolness...) and cause to me "security error" on boot....my phone is stuck there....
Tried the new lg tool to upgrade it says that i have the latest version
Tried the offline method (that i already did it in the past succeesfull and i know it, the lg tool says :device not connected but the 3 deces in device manager show correctly
I tried upgrade recovery says nothing to fix
the only mode that accepted from m phone is S/W upgrade....

I've recovered my p760 three times with the LG Tool and its Upgrade Recovery option.
I don't know why it doesn't work for you.

I feel that someting is going on with my phone.... i can see 3 devices in device manager is that correct? i cannto see device "android phone-ADB phone" can you confirm it?
I can see in device manager onlu com port modem and usb
Hi @Aristodikos1, you have an option for installing the drivers in the LG Tool (up- left corner). If the on line tool sees your L9 that's enough, just follow the steps : Update / Tools / Upgrade recovery.

Already did that buddy and appretiate for your help all .... that was just a though for me in my previous message but im not able to see any other device even with the yellow mark as connected....
The offline ,ethod crasses when push "upgrade"
after lg mode says no ugrade available and when i push upgrade recovery says "there is not nothing to fix" as a popup window
