Ployer momo9 III - touchscreen not working after flashing ROM - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I have a Ployer momo9 III tablet and I recently flashed a new ROM. The installation was successful and the tablet was able to boot-up to the main screen. The problem now is the touchscreen is not working (i can't type the keyboard or swipe the screen). I tried plugging a mouse using a USB-on-the-go converter and it was working fine.
I have run through the other similar threads but most of them involves custom ROM. And there were others that mentioned something about installing touchscreen firmware but i can't make sense of what the discussion is all about.
So let's cut to the chase. My questions:
(1) other than flashing the ROM, is there any other steps that i might have missed out? Example: driver installation, etc
(2) Now that the touchscreen is not functioning, what are the other options available for me to revive the tablet? I have tried flashing a custom ROM but it doesn't work. Maybe the ROM was not compatible.
(3) Appreciate if anyone would share a ROM that works on the Ployer momo9 III tablet.
FYI, i got the ROM from their official website (http://www.ployer.cn/cn/download_Guj...?DownloadID=63) but i have to admit that i am not sure if it is the correct ROM despite it labeled momo9 as it has several models to the momo9 line-up. I have tried contacting the manufacturer to get confirmation whether the ROM published on their website is compatible with my tablet but unfortunately there is no response.
Thanks in advance!!

wow, 70 views and not a single reply. there's a lot of selfish viewers. i just want to know if i am missing anything else after flashing the ROM. Example: driver installations and etc.

Did you solve this?

[Q] Need advice reg creating/fixing custom rom for tablet - iball Q9703

Hello everyone, first of all thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.
I recently got this. iBall Q9703 (cant use links yet sry iball.co.in/Product/Q9703/474) tablet, it has a badly ported rom and noticeable lag. Now I own a few mainstream devices with custom roms and this lag is not acceptable.
The chipset is Allwinner A31 which supports JB 4.2 and up(acc to wiki). Im assuming the lag is cause the stock is running badly built jb 4.1
I know that most Indian(and other) brand tablets are actually re-branded clones of Chinese tablets, so i went searching and found this Allview Alldro 3 speed quad. Its the EXACT same tablet from Romania.
I tried finding custom roms for it (or even CWM recovery ) but failed. Many suggested ONDA tablet roms but some ppl flashed it and wireless services stopped working. So got fed up and decided to handle things by myself.
I have a few questions so plz bear with me. (BTW I know there are detailed guides for most of the questions but I just need some direction)
( note: current rom was pre-rooted out of the box )
1) Is there any way using just root to speed up the rom? (tried launchers, removing apps, task killers)
2) Should I be able to compile and use CWM for this device or any other recovery.(None of them officially support the device)
3) Would I be able to take a backup image of the current stock rom inc. kernel(as a zip) on my system and flash it using recovery in case i screw anything up?
4) Would I be able to create a rom from scratch by extracting and using the current kernel and base-band? If so can I use jb4.2? (current is 4.1)
If i flash the rom and something goes wrong, i assume i can boot into recovery and flash the backup?
5) Would I be able to use a CWM intended for ONDA tabelt since its both based on allwinner a31?
6) Can i use a jb 4.1 kernel with jb4.2?
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

i also have the same problem and yea it also has serious heating problems

[Q] Killed FW after trying to clean Dalvikcache on Wondermedia WM8800

Hello,
I killed my FW after cleaning Dalvikcache with Droidtweaker and tried to install a Modded-ROM from the Techknow Forum.
But it doesn't work with my Touchscreen and then I found out that there is not THAT Wondermedia Via WM8880 Tab, it's ONE of many different that look the same.
I didn't know my exact Modelnumber so I looked at the Tab of my wife which I bought at the same Reseller one month earlier (TWD_V50_MID7_8335C_SD_GSL1680_TYF1012V5) and tried that .fwc -> same result.
Than I found a dump in the backup of my SD-Card and in that there was a +ForFun_V7_SD_ZET6251_7Z7Z233.fwc which means that this should be my Version of that Tab.
I tried different Roms since yesterday but I didn't find one who is working on my Tab. I tried one from geekbuying (which is without Lockscreen so I can connect my PC-Keyboard), two from techknow (the modded and the stock) and one a User found on google.
So I need to know if and where I can find the right driver for my Touchscreen (in my Backup of system.tgz) and how to get it in one of these Roms OR where to find a working Rom for my Tab. Best would be CM 10 as on my Xperia I love it... the CM 10 not the Xperia...
Thanks in advance!

[Q]PLEASE HELP! Looking for a better ROM for Gsmart T2 (TUKU 2)

Hi guys, I've purchased a used Gsmart TUKU 2 and am having big problems with it. It has quite impressive specs for a very low price, so I was hoping to get a bargain, but oh was I mistaken. The phone either has too little memory (512mb apparently is not enough for this one), or the ROM is tragically badly optimized. I runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (Kernel 3.0.21-perf; Build number: [email protected]) and it lags ALL the time. When a dual core machine lags on the home screen, something's wrong. I am trying to find a rooting/flashing guide for this phone, so I can try some better optimized ROMs on this to see, if I can improve responsiveness. I had big success doing this on my old HTC Dream (G1) when I installed a higher version (Froyo), so I'm hoping something like this will be possible here too, with an upgraded version like Jelly Bean, or KitKat.
The problem is I cannot find a single guide aimed at this particular phone and I can't find any suitable ROMs either. So please, mighty warriors of XDA-DEV, if anyone would know anything about this, have any relevant links or information, I would appreciate it dearly. This phone is supposed to be a present for my dad, as he needs a new one and I'm hoping to get it to work nicely within the next three weeks, so I can give it to him already optimized. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
So I have found something, but I'm not sure, whether it's the right thing I found this website: http://proshivku.ru/gigabyte/gigabyte-gsmart-tuku-t2-black-detail that seems to offer various ROM versions for many phones. It does list Jelly Bean and KitKat and it appears to have them available for the T2 as well. But I'm not sure, whether this is just a generic version, or one optimized for the particular phones. As well, while I can translate the website from russian, I don't understand the video on it, so I don't know, whether it needs to be rooted/downgraded first or not and so on. Anyone able to provide some more info on this?
So I'm getting back to looking for stuff to do with the Tuku T2. Found mentions of other usable roms, like the Cherry MIUI or the J77 MIUI, but can't find ANY working download links. Has anyone seen a working link for any rom for this phone?
Ok, so I have finally been able to find som custom roms for the TUKU T2
Hi guys. I have finally, after hours and hours of sifting through forums, found what I was looking for. I found actually many viable custom roms for the Gsmart Tuku T2. Found them on a russian Forum called "4PDA.ru". It is in russian of course, so your best bet is to use Chrome browser and have it translated in english. It won't translate all, but enough to find and download all that you need. Right the first post in the topic has the whole list. There are many versions plus a generic one. I have downloaded a few and will be testing them gradually. The link is here: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=471828 Right now I'm using the LolliMod_V2 with the update provided to 2.1. It is one of the first in the list and I have to say it works marvelously. I already have had root, done by framaroot and I'm using CWM recovery 6.0.1.2 I think. I did have problems using the SD card to flash as it can't mount, but from what I saw it seems it's because it's a small SD card. So I just simply copied the zip file to the internal storage and selected install zip from internal storage instead from sd card in the cwm recovery. Same way, after install, restarted phone, then again into recovery, installed the update to 2.1.
As said, it works perfectly, none of the freezing or slowdown happening, that was constant with the stock rom. The LolliMod is I think android 4.4.2, which is fine, as the stock was 4.0.4. It provides some nice options, a lot more settings, far better graphics and so on. I have noticed a few hickups, like the Volumes settings in the sound settings won't show and the settings will close, but you can still set the volume for everything otherwise. It's a brilliant rom.
So anyway, if you are looking for ROMS for the TUKU T2, definitely have a look at that site. If you'll have problems with it, let me know, I can reupload some that I have already downloaded to some file sharing site...
As always, all credits go to the creators of these roms, none are mine, but as I don't speak russinan, I can't tell it to them personally. Take care.

Cant find info/resources for Zopo C7, where to start.

Hi
I have a zopo Zp990, C7.
The phone quickly demonstrated a lot of bugs, so, long story made short, the zopo was so buggy I tried using it for about a month, fiddled with it for a couple more and then put it back into its box.
I recently got it out to use as a wifi device (because that's all it is good for) and got to thinking... Because I am a complete "Beginner" I figured I could use the zopo to learn a little about the multitude of options available to Android users.
Unfortunately I cant find much in the way of info/resources that are zopo zp990 specific.
The device zopo is 2x32gb Captain S model running 4.2.1 and it is rooted (with eRoot).
My next step was going to be the installation of CWM or TWRT, then do a backup and try installing a 4.4.2 rom.
The problem is that I have been completely unsuccessful in finding a CWM or TWRT version that is stated as being compatible with the C7 Captain S. I understand (have seen) that some people use variants intended for other devices but I don't have the competence/experience (nerve) to try that path.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Fred.

[Q] Dualboot

Hello,
I own a Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus and I have a CWM recovery. I recently installed CM11 and there's a huge bug: can't make phone calls. And the development was terminated because of the lack of Broadcom's drivers. :crying: So I was already planning on reinstalling the stock rom, then I did some research online and I found a solution: dual boot! I could have stock rom and CM installed at the same time.
I went searching online and I only found guides/apps/videos for specific devices or for Android and Ubuntu, but I want two android roms. Since my phone isn't very popular, I found out there's no guide for it. :crying:
My question is: is there a way to dual-boot/multi-boot/dual-rom/multi-rom for this device/all android phone in general?
Best regards,
FlyingPancakes
