I looked and looked but couldn't find a thread on this (perhaps not hard enough), but I've just recently become aware to the fact of HTC may have made a version of the HD2 with a sliding keyboard. Did they go through with this or was it just an idea that evaporated and we haven't really heard much since?
I can't post a link, just search "Leo-S" in Google to see what I'm talking about.
Many thanks for the following answers!
what are you smoking over there?
The Leo-s was an unsubstantiated rumour based on some registry keys that were found that would allow for it but with HTC now developing WP7 i wouldn't read anything into it
@Lude - Apparently something that messes with my grammer , just noticed it wasn't that great.
@M3PH - Thanks for that update. I couldn't find anything that said this was just a rumor. It's a nice idea though.
Lamenting over my hard-bricked SGP 4.0, a pretty naive thought occurred to me, that is, what if the so-called internal SD card really is a "card" and can be replaced? Of course not, but I had to see it myself, so I just disassembled it and took some photos of the internals. SGP 4.0 US is pretty easy to disassemble, I guess, and here are a few photos (with S/N airbrushed). My hardware assembly experience is back in early 90s, so it won't apply to modern day assembly technologies at all, but it looks like the Toshiba is the internal SD memory chip (wonder why Samsung uses Toshiba flash chip for its memory?). I didn't peel off the sticker, but the chip under the white sticker looks like the CPU. Near the presumably Toshiba flash chip, there does seem to be a socket for an external programmer, so I guess if I can get this to a service center (like in Korea), I guess they might be able to reflash the internal flash memory chip using their programmer device, but it's purely my totally naive imagination. Anyone have some comments? Anyway, enjoy!
Also, I didn't want to start another thread for this, but I'm wondering if anyone could point me to the right direction about the ICS port going on in the development board for SGP 5.0 US? I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but I'm finding that the dialer is missing there (is it that ICS totally is without a dialer? I doubt so), and seeing a player like SGP as a VoIP device, I think it's still important to still have a dialer. I can't yet post a question there as a noob, so I'm wondering if someone could see this and convey this comment to the developers there. I'd also love to try tinkering with the sources, build the rom image and try those with my SGPs. I'll probably first try to do it with ambrice's CM7 for SGP 5.0 US, and if I can get any assistance or advice from anyone, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for all your great work!
Nice post! But sorry to hear that your player got hard bricked.
I have noticed that you have both versions if the players. If you truly have no use for your 4.0 anymore, maybe you could consider donating it to a dev who specializes in hardware (like adamoutler or someone else?)? I'm sure he or someone else could make good use of your device, and maybe possibly even prevent your situation from happening to someone else in the future with an unbrickable mod. Or maybe some experienced dev could unbrick it and come help with the ics progress... We certainly do need all the devs we can get.
Again, this is just a suggestion; I hope I didn't sound selfish or anything.

I'd be happy to follow your suggestion (and you don't sound selfish at all), but unfortunately the device is not my personal property, not at my disposal... Sorry... Maybe I should revive my old-days hardware experience and try to make some contribution with this... Thanks.
hey guys.
just pre-ordered my sIII. i'm a little disappointed that it has a menu button instead of a dedicated multi-task button. anybody know if we can reassign those buttons? do any roms support this? i'm surprised i haven't seen anybody mentioning this drawback on the sIII on the forums... unless i missed a thread or something. just under a month until i get it... can't wait!
thx
I agree, I'm suprised Samsung wont let us customize the stock rom more.
I'm used to having the menu button in the middle but, correct me if Im wrong, I dont think it can be moved.
I've done quite a bit of searching but haven't come across any clear solution so i figured i ask the experts here, hoping someone has an answer.
I'm looking to try to do something like this.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcggnNVTNwI with either a tablet, or just a touch screen monitor. Is this possible for us androids? I'm currently on a HTC sensation rooted. I'm about due for an upgrade soon also. Thanks!
anybody???
Hello,
This is my 1st post, congratulations I guess. I can't wait to help others in their quest to know more than the Phone Operators! For instance on the LG G3 at least, and the SGS3, if you long hold the home button, Google Now search displays. Now onto my main post...I have some ideas for mods but I do not have the time to master them myself, so Im looking for someone who can make my ideas come to fruition...anyone interested?
