Recently I've noticed when trying to do a twrp backup it'll run for several minutes and backup a few partitions. But ultimately it will fail. I'm not sure why.
Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions to correct it?

Maybe bad sectors or not enough room on your SD card?

I'm showing over 7gb free on the sd card and my backups had been running about 2.5gb.
I suppose the card could be corrupted. I'll have to pop another in and try that. Thanks for the suggestions.

Change the backup folder from Preferences screen
Yea I looked around online and I moved the backup file to the external SD. My only question now is if I get a new phone and of course the titanium app isn't on there, if I just reinstall it than it'll detect my back ups on my sdcard right?

While trying to do a Nandroid backup, I get a error stating, failure to back up boot image. What causes that and how do you fix it?

Does our version of CWM have the 4 gig limit?
The reason I ask is because on another phone the nandroid backup fails if your internal SD card had too much saved to it.

Every time when I restore a backup my firmware, I have an error during the recovery Data partition. When creating a backup, no error occurs. Where could the problem be?

How much space do you have on your ext sd?
Despite all the data, pics blah blah. Is it 16gb etc?

I tried backing up with only 1.2gb left lol... I knew i needed more than 2gb in order to backup... Do you know how much a 16 or 32 gb would cost?
EDIT: Nvm, a 16gb would cost me $14 in walmart... Good price if you ask me.

Had the same problem, but I fixed it 0-
I'm looking for some help transferring back ups from device to device.
Both are M8 ATT
I have the back ups on external SD and while they show up on the backed up device, they don't show up on the other device.
What am I missing? I've never dealt with transferring back ups, but I think I have to change some coding?
Go into titanium settings on new device and change location of backup folder to external.

So you recommend using titanium for this process instead of TWRP?
Complete brain fart. Sorry. Can you not just go to restore from sd card in the menu of twrp

Have you tried moving the contents of the twrp backups from the external sd to the internal sd? Also, was the rom that was backed up a custom rom? My guess is that if it was, it enabled the read/write permissions to the external card which Kit Kat disables on stock roms. If that's the case, and your new phone is still stock, it can't restore from the external. If you're on a stock rom now, go flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700310 to enable permissions and you should be good to go.
I'll try that.
Actually backed a up stock M8 and transferring to a gpe RUU I don't want.
Same as backing up stock before RUU but somehow it got wiped.
Well it be safe to just format the internal sd from twrp and start fresh from there
