Has anyone tried this launcher? It has a lot of potential but isn't polished enough to drag me away from Go Launcher yet.

I have it... not too shabby.
Options are a bit limited, especially if you use Launcher Pro.
It's smooth though and I must say, it has promise.
Being free is a plus too.
I just downloaded and set everything up to my liking, so I will test it out for a day and come back with the verdict. But so far, so good, its different, limited to options but its promising.
I tried it. It was... okay. The SPB 3d Launcher was much smoother and actually looks right even with a modified density.
Very nice find!!! Thank you for sharing. Nice launcher to use as a default.
I like the launcher Widgets and all and once this gets a little more work and has some more transition effects, configurable Widgets, etc. I could see this being real good.

I've been using it since release, I love the transition effects, especially for flipping pages on the home screen. Still very limited in options, but the extra home screen space is welcomed, I love I can have different wallpapers and title for each page, and I have had no FC's yet, which is impressive for a new launcher just released a couple days ago.
I can't wait to see what further development brings, I have already made this my default launcher.
I think it's really cool. I wish it were more customizable, but it's very polished and nice for a free app.
Thanks for sharing

I'm using. I like it, definitely had potential, just not enough to make me leave LP

Looks good to play with.
Definitely needs more polishing.

I've had it for a week and it seems all right. I did use the 3D Digital Weather Clock instead from the Android Market because the Regina on didn't work very well. Other than that, it's pretty good for a starting point.
I downloaded it. Tried it out. Has some cool features like the secret workspace.
Other than that its pretty gimicky and lacks real customization. Obviously has potential since its free. But ya as was mentioned will take more to get away from LP.
The whole 3D thing is cool-ish. Dont see the point in it though!
I feel the same way as everyone else. Used it for a while but really needs some more options before becoming the lp replacement for me.
But great start and lots of potential.
I didnt like it, didnt have many options.
Get the GO Launcher EX from market for free, get some themes, and watch short review video on youtube. Awesome!

Don't have a market link for it, but this is by far the most unique launcher I ever used. Its styled after magazines and you can change just about everything. It even has page turning transition effects. A go launcher replacement in my opinion. Go check it out Lord willing

gave it a shot. I like the concept -- but its not for me.
very fast and smooth on my CM7 atrix though.
Definitely interesting.
After emailing the dev, found its closed source though. Personally not fond of using an app with so many permissions without access to source (same story with GO apps)
ADW is still for me, but thanks for sharing.

Wow really tempted to make it a keeper!
Omg has greek language too YOOHOO!!
Really great Launcher, thanks for the tip... this is my new fav.

I came across after a post somewhere here, and it is a ripper. It gives massively more customisation than anything I've seen to date. Effectively you can even set things almost to the pixel, and set every attribute of it. I say things, because you can add may things.
Now that I have freed myself from app launching woes in each launcher by using a combination of WaveLauncher and FolderOrganizer, I can swap launchers at will. I no longer need to mess with app groups in each one, and can customise widgets alone. This one will be one of my all-time faves, I can tell.
I look forward to it progressing. I already have a few suggestions!
I haven't tried this launcher yet, but I also have use both wave/folders together. I find it much more efficient Anne completely frees up my screens.

Thanks for the recommendation! I am looking for a simple yet elegant launcher and this fits well to what i wanted!
Hi, can somebody point me to a weather app that had simple ui like iPhone weather? I know its sh*t but i only need simple weather with no radars maps etc. tried witiz weather but it sucks. thanks

Accuweather
Hey, maybe Accweather is the right app for you. I'm using it and I'm satisfied.
If u don't like it try The Weather Channel.
(Sry I can't post links...)
Hi, I use Yandex.Weather, you can get if off market. It has 2x1 and 4x1 widgets. Shows todays and tomorrows temp, weather. Very simple, basic.
Tried everything but its not what I'm looking for. I mean app which have only icon which i click on and I'll see a five day forecast in full screen window, just like iPhone. Only one which is like this is witiz, but its inaccurate and i can't switch off refreshing...tried the one from here (aed) but its full of ads...

There is a really nice Weather app called Weatherlove. The App is very minimalistic und good looking. There are four widgets. One Widget is similar to the HTC Sense one.
1weather in the market.

Try Be Weather. Works pretty good for me
Hi Folks,
I just got the Note II on Verizon. I've previously owned several other Android devices and I've been using Launcher Pro. But since it hasn't been updated for over a year and I've heard that it force closes all the time on Jelly Bean I'm looking for another alternative.
Which one is the most robust/customizable and works well with the Note II. I don't want to sacrifice performance on the Note II as I really like it's speediness and responsiveness.
Here's the ones I've been considering so far in order of my preference so far.
GO Launcher
Nova
Apex
What do you folks recommend? Please list some pros and cons to the ones you prefer and why you recommend one over the other.
On another side note... Is there any way to force the keyboard to enter a space after you select a word from the predicted text? On my Droid Bionic it would automatically enter a space after I selected a suggested word. There was an option to turn that feature on in the settings but I found no such option on the Note II.
Thanks in advance everyone!
Mitch
I'm using Nova. It's been awesome. Love the customization and speed.
i like hollo launcher because you can remove icon labels...nova prime is sweet too.
Apex is my personal favorite
Sent from my Galaxy Note II
Currently I am using Apex and TSF. Both are great Launchers. TSF is in its own league though but unfortunately it cost 17 bucks. Kinda expensive but the geek in me couldn't resist. Load several up and see which works the best for you. It really boils down to personal preference.

Been using Nova, started on my Nexus just to give it a try and noticed it was much faster than Trebuchet from CM10 so switched to it, kept it on the Note 2 since you can import old settings so I didnt have to redo my homescreen etc.
Apex ftw

Is battery life any different when using tsf?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
What is the best one to customize everything or almost everything like apps/icons/widgets/theme (color/size etc)?
I haven't really noticed TSF being a battery hog. My battery lasted all day and didn't recharge till next day at work.

Probably APEX.
Nova is faster IMO on the N2.
ADW is my favourite, I have had it since my vibrant
I'm rocking apex.

Nova, its fast, great on battery /memory and i have all my gesture controls including 2 finger swipe up and down

Nova Prime
Gotta be Nova Prime add folders, multiple docks, and low battery usage
Using Apex right now but Nova is good as well. Apex feels just right. Out the box you just have to add another row because 4x4 leaves to much wasted space for my liking.
Nova and Holo ftw.

TSF Launcher. Amazing and customizable. Not a battery hog at all.

I'm shocked that to many people aren't running Go Launcher. I have it on my GS3 now but will be getting the Note 2 as soon as Amazon gets some more in. Go Launcher will be the only launcher I use on that beast!
I haven't seen anyone talk about this launcher, but it is awesome. Yes, you have to pay for it, but with the amount of customizations available it's well worth it. I know I'm a newb around here, and this post may not be taken seriously, but I thought I'd try to get a great dev paid to keep up such great work. Best feature that I've been looking for for over a year is being able to put widgets inside a folder on your home screen.
And that's my 2 cents. Please don't be too harsh, remember I'm a newb around here.

Be easy on the noob, but this should be in the Themes and Apps section of the forum. Hopefully a mod moves it.
But back to the launcher, looks cool but I prefer TouchWiz, I'm one of those

This is the "Tasker" of launchers. It's incredibly powerful & customizable. Just a bit of a learning curve. But much like with Tasker, once you do a few things, the rest gets a lot easier to figure out.
I actually got frustrated the first time I tried the free Lightning Launcher. And gave up on it the first day.
Read your thread and got the ambition to try it out again.
Really glad I did.
Nova Prime has been outstanding for me, but I was missing some customization options and Nova Prime developer team has not responded to my inquiries. So I'm going to double-down and watch a couple Lightning Launcher videos and figure it out.
I really, really like that it lets you have multiple home screen/profile setups. So if I'm right, I can pull up a different homescreen setup for each Tasker profile I have set up.
Also, there are profile/themes you can download from Play Store that give you some pre-arranged fancy-ass customization. Just to get you started.
Tsf shell is the best launcher I've found.

Not for the faint of heart...
I love Lightning Launcher and can't say I did the first 5 times I tried it. At first, it is very intimidating for those that are used to the normal/simple way of laying out your homescreen/desktop. I have tried pretty much every launcher out there and love the benefits everyone provides, but have to admit, they are all essentially the same ole desktop, offering nothing truly innovative.
If you want to see the power of LLX, are worried about bugs and improvements, check the Google plus community: https://plus.google.com/115359051724948606262/
Again, this is only for those experienced enough that want something absolutely unique. If you are content with basic folders, simply swiping left/right and having the normal desktop setup this wont be for you. If you actually want freedom to make your desktop look the way you want, give LL a try.
LLX
I haven't had any problems with it at all. The customization is still amazing, and everyone in the g+ forum is nice and helpful.
