Before I used the themes feature on Cloudyfa rom for my G2, but when I switched to my current Sprint LG G3 , this feature was not available.
I know that G3 Tweakbox have some features for theming, but there is a way to use Cloudyfa themes and bring "LG SmartWorld apk" to stock sprint rom.
All credits and gratitude to Cloudyfa by making them available, hoangnova for his patched "LG Smartworld apk" and to #Akhayev for bring us some light.
Before continue, i have to tell you : Do at your own risk!!!
Requirements:
- You have to be rooted.
- Installed "Shorcut master" from google play.
- Download "Smartworld apk" from this thread: app-lg-smart-world-global-f400x
- Download themes from this thread: themes-apps/themes-lg-g3-lg-home
How to install:
- Just copy the themes apk and "Smartworld apk" on system/app and reboot
After reboot, you can see LG Smartworld has been installed.
How to select themes:
- Open "Shorcut master" and click on app explorer option.
- Find "com.lge.launcher2" and tap once.
- Find "LGThemeChooserActivity" and tap once.
- Select "Launch"
- Select theme you want, apply and Voila...
All credits are for Cloudyfa and for hoangnova
I believe I have posted a fix for this a couple months ago. Requires no root. Not short cut master. But does use launcher pro. You need no files or fixes from developers. Just launcher pro. Once you have that app you only go into widgets and tap the icon launcher pro. Then scroll down to theme home. Bam. It saves an icon on your home screen. Press it. It will bring you to the LG world. Press the download and brings you to themes. This works for many LG devices. We used this on g2 last year as well. But thanks for your efforts and time. Now theres yet another way to shortcut I guess. Lol

Yup. Variety. At least it's a possibility. I just used same method from g2 last year couple months back. Lol these are all over now. So it should be well known.

For anyone interested in theming this way, once you are rooted with Xposed and G3Tweaksbox installed and have the appropriate settings checked, just go to lgworld.com. On the bottom right corner is a link to the Smartworld app. Just follow the prompts for region and language, download, install (make sure you can install from unknown sources) and open the app and complete the signup process. Takes a few minutes and then you're ready to go. No patches or other tricks necessary. I did everything here on my phone.

This is a LGHome3.Apk with Theme enabled for Stock Rom Only... This is a ODEX version... So Anyone like me who has Pure Stock Rom with Just Root..You can use this and Apply themes. Most of the LG homes found here on XDA and online are Deodexed versions and I just wanted Odex version but with Theme enabled. I feel LG launcher is the best stock Launchers available out there with its customizations etc.
While doing some experiments.. Found out LGOG Lockscreen is based on AOSP Lockscreen. Just making one small change it give us AOSP Lock screen. (See Below Images Post 2). for Lock Screen follow the same steps as Home but from STEP 5 Replace anywhere it says LGHome3 to Lockscreen3 when following steps.
Click Here to Download AOSP Lock Screen for STOCK LGOG
Themes can be found in thread (Below Link) on Different pages. I did not try them all.. So don't blame me if something goes wrong on themes end.
I will be Adding more themes here.... Also you can create your own themes...
How To for LG Home: ALL THE BOLD STEPS ARE VERY IMPORTANT
1. You need to be rooted (No need of custom Recovery etc)
2. Need file Explorer Like ES File Explorer which has ROOT Explorer (Free on Market)
3. Install 3rd Party Launcher for Just in case scenarios... I installed Free Nova.. You can install any other launcher.
4. Make the 3rd Party Launcher as Default (Just till you get everything working)
5. Open ES explorer click Menu on Phone and Enable Root Explorer (It Should be ON in Blue) And Mount RW should be selected on System.
6. Dowload the File from this Thread (LGHome3.apk)
7. Go to System/App and Rename the Orginal LGHOme3.Apk to LGHome3.apk.Org and Paste the one you downloaded. (Remember.. Before you do this step, To make the Other Launcher you downloaded to make it Default)
8. Once you Paste the one from this forum.. Restart the phone.
From Settings Home try to Select the Home.. (LG) If it say Unfortunately Home as stopped or Something like that.. Go to Settings > Apps> All and Stop HOME Selector , Stop and Clear Cache for Home .. Then Try Again to Select Home.. You are Good to Go.
I put all the steps like ELI5 so that noobs can follow too. Still if you have any questions... Please feel free to Ask. If I don't answer on time, Someone else will with a good heart.
Sample Theme (Love), AOSP Lockscreen Pic's.
This is a sample theme And Lockscreen. Lock Screen has a gray bar below, Date and time are not visible on the lock screen b'cos of the wallpaper.

Are you on stock?
yes in stock 4.1.2 but its been modified by someone added russian language and supersu
I wonder if I might be able to pick your brain about how you created the AOSP lockscreen. I actually have the LG G2 and I was trying to figure how to get the AOSP lockscreen on a stock based rom because I don't really like the LG version. No one in our forums has done it that I'm aware of so I started poking around at other LG forums figuring that it might lead me the right direction. (I actually tried using the one you posted thinking maybe it would work but it seems it isn't compatible.) Anyway, then I thought you probably just pulled the lockscreen from an AOSP rom or from gapps but I couldn't seem to find the apk file. Did you create that lockscreen by modfying code in the LG apk? Maybe I can follow the same process for my phone... Any help would be awesome!

Can you please upload LGHome3.odex file also?
I want to test it with LG-L9-II.
Thanks.

I think you can use this. Try it and profit :good:
I don't use the LG Home launcher so people may have a better way to access Themes, but I thought I'd throw this out there.
Through the LG launcher hidden settings menu there is an option to enable a Theme setting in your Home Launcher settings. There are a few ways to get into the hidden menu but I just enabled it through G3 Tweaksbox "LG Launcher tweaks". After it is enabled reboot your phone, then go to settings, home screen, and G3 Tweaksbox HIDDEN SETTINGS. Scroll down to FEATURE_USE_THEME make sure it is checked and reboot(don't hit save, just reboot). After reboot, go to settings, home screen, and you should then have the Theme option listed like the attached picture.
You will need the attached LG Smartworld app as well.
Enjoy
* Just an FYI: I'm running Jasmine 3.0 Odex with Xposed framework, so I'm not sure if this works if you're setup in a different way.

Hello.
I am new here and also to android. Please help me with the following.
Here's What happened:
I had rooted my LG optimus L5 e610/612 phone and installed CM-11 (4.4.4 - kitkat) on it.
After using for 6-7 months , Today I switched over from google now launcher to Trebuchet.
I held the home screen for 2s to set my default home page, then i saw an option for dropdown.
I got various options like setting screen transition etc .
There I changed the search bar from default to google now.
So after this whenever I open the trebuchet it stops working, and i'm forced to use google now launcher.
Please Help.

Go to settings, apps, side swipe to the All tab, scroll down the list and look for Trebuchet (or if it's not listed, look for an app called LauncherX -- X being done number), click to open up the app info, click force stop and then click clear data. This should reset Trebuchet and get it working again.
As far as why Trebuchet stopped working, I don't use Trebuchet or Google Now so I can't help you. Hopefully, someone else can help you with that part.

I was about to say this haha
how this mod is different from THIS
This is just different in one thing, not scrolling to down like Statusbar Scroll to Top
Does this classify as plagiarism?
Its funny when you think about it... iOS has this by default since forever, xD
But really cool framework
No more infinit scrolling to the top
Well... Don't think it was copied work as the developer didn't do his research it seems like...

But is it better than the older module we have? Because that one works really well, but not on all lists, and if there are a lot of images and stuff it lags a bit. Maybe this one uses a different method?
Does this one work with Chrome?
Guys, the xmod is open source by @MohammadAG: https://github.com/MohammadAG/Xposed-StatusBar-Scroll-To-Top | So this is not plagiarism (I think.), @wissam.az1 just improve. I confess that i've never used original xmod.
Not working on my htc one m8 with lollipop
@stevedensmore yes it works with all apps now just update to the latest version follow the instructions and it will work
dear @wissam.az1

You're good to go.
I had a LG G2 and didn't need a workaround since I could flash a themeable ROM.
Still I must be missing something because I couldn't find "activities" under Launcher Pro's/Widgets, or Shortcuts, or LauncherPro widgets. I even installed a theme from the play store, but can't find a way to apply it. I did find Home Theme - LG in the stock launcher/Widgets, and something similar in Nova Launcher. It doesn't do anything though. I couldn't find LGThemeChooserActivity anywhere. So what am I missing?
Just install the LauncherPro app from the market, long press on the home screen and it should be one of the first options.
Any luck getting the Themer app to download?
Ok, now I see. You are doing it from the stock launcher, and not LauncherPro. It force closes on mine.
