Kid Mode is a setting on newer devices that allows you to restrict certain apps from your children.

You may have it hidden. As far as I know, it comes preinstalled on every device...

I've got one from AT&T and have never had it at all. If it's from the famigo app, I have that app disabled, which may have done it. But who knows lol
Doubt it, Famigo is an educational app, but it may be your phone's version of kid mode as I don't have famigo

More permanent solution for root users:
Open an android terminal emulator and enter
Code:
su
then
Code:
pm disable com.htc.htcpowermanager/.powersaver.PowerSaverNotificationReceiver
(there is a space between / and .)
then reboot and profit
after doing this, if you view the App Info for "Power", it will turn it back on
also "pm enable" in the above command will reenable it

Thanks. Got my unlock email from htcdev this morning. If I decide to keep the phone I will root it and get rid of this stupid notification.

Long press the notification, hit "App Info" and uncheck "Show Notifications". Yes, it really is that easy.
The option is greyed out on the att build otherwise you're right it would be that easy.
Jmztaylor has an app and modaco framework has a mod to disable it as well...but I like a minimalistic approach
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
There is an app in the Play Store that disables it.
Jmz Power Saver Disabler (Needs ROOT.) I can't post a link on these forums yet. Less than 10 posts.
You can then uninstall the app and the power save stays gone. (At least it has stayed gone for me.)

I ran command in terminal emulator...returned "killed"...I rebooted and it is still there. Would it be because I'm still on stock ROM?
EDIT:

Hi guys !
how can i put in the whitelist some app ? sometimes i hate android memory killer;in this way i ll be able to choose when that app has to be closed.
I hope i was clear..thanks for the help
Try Xposed framework, search it around XDA

Unless its contacts / phone. Not even Xposed works with that well.
i read on xda some guide, these saying to add some strings in build.prop..i tried but nothing..
with framework like jkay and xposed i can lock app in memory,my aim is to find a way for locking app with the original framework. Is it possible guys ? thanks
I'm curious: why?
in this way i can put sms app in whitelist, so android memory killer never kills sms app=no lags because it remains in memory

Hey guys/gals, here is a fix for the VZW GS4 that resolves the issue of WiFi hotspot tethering. In the latest update, you now get an errors message that checks for an active subscription and then gives you an error and turns off the hotspot. Here are 2 methods I found.
Method 1: Download any app that allows you to freeze/defrost packages. If you cannot find one or do not have one, download an app called System Tuner by 3c. You have to find a package called "SPG" (system package). Freeze this package and it will prevent the phone from checking for a subscription service. Run your non-factory hotspot app. It will crash and maybe freeze for the first time, and then exit, just reopen it and it should then work.
Method 2: Using System Tuner, find the package called "SPG" and click on it so that it becomes highlighted. Then click "Details" so that it brings up the info about the app. It should show a list of packages under the "Activites" section (near the bottom). Uncheck the box labeled "NewSPGActivity". After this, you can run your hotspot app and it should crash/freeze for the first run. After that, it should run smoothly.
I hope this works for you all. If you have any questions or issues, just reply to this thread. Don't forget to give me a thanks!
Note: Do not use the built-in wifi hotspot toggle switch, it will crash. Download an app from the market to toggle it.
Note: If you cannot access the settings by clicking on the Hotspot notification, do this: settings>more networks>mobile hotspot.
Note: I am running ME7 with 4.2.2 JellyBean and stock rom.

Foxfi works with no subscription notice all you have to do is make a pattern lock when it asks you.

If you are trying to run the hotspot from the built it button, it will crash. Use an external app for your hotspot. I use "1-click tether" at the moment. I'm going to do some more looking right now.

I just use the toggle. Then, after that hold down the home button for recent apps and go right back to what I was doing...
Yes, was trying to use the built in button and the app crashed. I haven't had any problems with third party tether toggle apps. After getting the subscription check and hitting the home button I am good to go.

FoxFi uses your data plan, so if you don't have unlimited data it will cost you a lot of money. The technique I'm using prevents the phone from checking if you have an active subscription or not. Also, FoxFi limits how long you can use it continuously if you don't purchase the pro version. I used to use FoxFi before i rooted my phone.
On VRUAME7 build hack is not required. Toggle the built-in Wifi hotspot on and as soon as the subscription check message comes up just press the home button and it will go in the background but you will be able to still use tethering.
i just froze that app. and installed a third party wifi tether app and it worked .,thanks

IF you are correct, you still have to deal with the message every time you want to tether. Also, since you have to hit the home button, if you want to change your setting or anything then you have to go back into the app and deal with the message again. This just makes it easier. Your idea just avoids the issue, mine fixes it. I wasn't trying to be rude or anything. Have a good day!

To disable it (and you can do this without root) go into settings - general - apps - all and scroll all the way down to the bottom. You will find vutalk there. Press on it and disable it. And yes it will remain disabled even after reboot.

Viber needs only a few KB/s (or MBs for calls) . Other apps need more ( i don't use and don't know about what's up)
It doesn't need an account. (for hangouts you need to have your friends gmail / fb needs ...fb accounts )
And you can do some funny staff. Draw/emoticons/sound clip
I finally got my Pressy Button in today. Seems to work ok so far. No real issues except that it makes the headphone icon always visible. Which isn't a problem, just an annoyance.
Is there any way to disable that icon? I have xposed framework installed and tried notifyclean module, but that doesn't seem to be able to do it. Unless I'm not looking in the right place.
