Questions about tripping Knox Security on a Samsung phone. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello! I just had a few questions about the whole new Knox Security thing Samsung has implemented in their newer phones and firmwares. So, what are the consequences of tripping the Knox counter with rooting the device? Does it just void warranty and tell them that it's been modded? I thought I read somewhere that after tripping Knox and restoring your phone back to Samsung firmware, it no longer gets OTA updates. Is this true? Thanks guys! Please go as in depth as you can!

s4, jellybean, KitKat and knox

Hi all,
Can someone please explain Knox in simple terms to me because the more I read the more I'm confused. I've read so many post on it and its just not sinking in. I had an s4 with KitKat update, it had knox icon under apps but when I pressed it it asked if I want to install it which I never did. On the boot up download mode the Knox counter was present.
Because the phone has been such a bad one me the phone company has sent me a new one. This has jellybean on it as it is new and no Knox icon displayed to install it. Also has Knox counter on startup though.
Phone won't update now because Samsung's own software update has yet again updated jellybean and left the phone thinking I have custom software, did same to my other phone and a tablet. However this is their problem. Something wrong with their upgrades.
But getting back, what I dont get is will an official flash of KitKat trigger the Knox counter? What about custom ROM installed? Is my firmware already locked and can't do any office updates let alone root? I don't think my galaxy tab 3 has knox
Any simple help much appreciated.

[Q] Root i9305 without tripping knox impossible?

I just got i9305 with TouchWiz 4.4.4 on it and Knox bootloader 0x0 (not tripped). From reading the forums, I get the impression rooting it without tripping Knox 0x1 flag is not possible.
Is this correct?

(Question) G925W8VLU3BOK1 root without tripping knox

is there anyway to root this on 5.1.1 without tripping knox?
I am not sure but I think if you root the phone like the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/howto-flash-g92xf-t-tripping-knox-t3158606 and then you upgrade to this firmware wihtout change the bootloader you can do this.

Samsung G925-T Root

Well it's been a while since I've checked, but Im having a lot of trouble rooting my phone. Ive figured since the s7 is out, maybe someones done it without tripping knox on my model
I almost dont really care about knox
But id prefer one that doesnt trip it just in case.
Galaxy S6 Edge
5.1.1
G925-T
UVS3DOJC
Can someone help me? Im really trying get NetHunter on my phone
5.1.1 cannot be rooted eithout tripping knox because it requires flashing a kernal that roots the phone and that kernal is housed in the boot partition. Marshmallow can be rooted by the old method of flashing twrp and flashing a supersu flashable zip. So unless Im wrong (may a someone correct me if so) 5.1.1 cannot be rooted without tripping knox. Idk if flashing twrp will trip on marshmallow so do some research on that. If it doesnt there you go all you have to do is wait for it then. If not then its not possible as far as i know. I cant tell you MM wise because i tripped my knox on L5.1.1

How do I root a Samsung S5 Neo (SM-G903F) V 6.0.1 without voiding warranty?

Hi everyone,
This is my first post. I have been trying to find a way to root my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo (SM-G903F) V 6.0.1 without voiding warranty (my phone is less than one year old).
I have read about the chainfire method and it voids the warranty.
The only method that does not void the warranty for a similar phone (S5) is the Towelroot method, but the post is a couple of years old (they used different android versions and the phone is also different):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/tut-root-tripping-knox-t2803951
My question is, is there any method to root it without voiding the warranty.
Since the last update, I have serious battery draining problems because of wakelock (Android OS drains more than even screen) and the only solution I found requires root. I also wanted to make the most out of my phone and I have rooted phones in the past.

Would a factory reset and not updating the software solve the Battery OS problem? I know of another user that has my same version and does not have any Android OS battery drain.
