[Q] Does the Note 4 battery work on the Note 3? - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I just saw the Note 4 extra battery kit at Best Buy today and wondering since my Note 3 battery isn't holding up as good as it used to... will the Note 4 battery work on the Note 3? Thanks in advance for any info.

In short, no. This is because the shape of the battery is different. You could buy batteries with more capacities on ebay for a very cheap price.
Here is an image of the Note 4 Battery:
http://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/...ng-Galaxy-Note-4-battery-life-test-header.jpg

That's what I thought but wasn't 100% sure when it comes to the battery size. I was going to order the Note 3 battery from Samsung's site since I have 50% off accessory code but it's not letting me finish. Something about "invalid account" when I try to order whatever that means. Just frustrating.

I think no, because the shape is different. I wonder if it even fits. Didn't try

Reality of 3500mAh EB615265VU eCell battery claims

Just saw this on Amazon and eBay (can't post links).
Older threads about similar batteries indicate that their true capacity is similar to the OEM battery.
I don't expect this battery can really hold 3500mAh, but could it be at least slightly better than the 2500mAh OEM battery?
Thanks
By the way, is there anything like batteryboss.org for Note batteries?
Since the Note 2 has a 3,100 mAh battery, I wonder if it would fit in ours?
Long shot I suppose, but we will probably start seeing a lot of 3,000+ bats popping up...

If you decide to try it out let us know how it goes. I have not seen that one before. I do have a gold 3250 that lasts longer than the stock. Currently using the mugen which is great so far but I wonder what this is like.
A quick Google search finds a retailer that reports the following:
Compatible Samsung Battery EB615265VU for Samsung Galaxy Note GT-i9220. This is a brand new non-original premium quality upgrade battery manufactured with the latest rechargeable 3.7v Lithium-ion cell with a high capacity of 2600mAh

I found the same text on another site, which suggests that both are using the same translated copy from the Chinese wholesaler, and that the retailers that the OP saw on Amazon & eBay are misrepresenting the battery.

I've just been looking at batteries myself and the site you quote above also says:
It is fully compatible with all Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone which take original Samsung part number EB615265VU battery.

I get the impression that the serial number is supposed to represent the original Samsung battery part number. What's odd is that the GT-N7000 takes the EB615268VU (and the Note i717 takes EB615268VA) Samsung battery, so whether there is another Galaxy Note model that takes a different battery variant is anyone's guess.
I guess the point is that third-party batteries can carry any serial number they want to put on it, but the proof will only be after you've bought one and used it. I personally don't think they can fit 3500mAh into the battery especially for the prices they quote, but any increase on the stock battery will be nice.

Mine are coming in today, I will let you know. I had them for my Note 2 and they were great. Amazon had them on sale for $15 for 2 and a charger but now they are back up to $45 with shipping for 2.

Yeah, i would love to know how 'micropack' works. Don't really believe they managed to pack an extra 1000MAH!!!!
I heard it's heavier which makes sense being samsung might not have packed as much as they could in there, to cut down on weight

Sorry bud. There is no such thing.
All of these magic batteries are either rebranded or just cheap batteries with stickers covering the actual labels.
And from Hyperion's own facebook page:

MicroPack is marketing for "charge $10 more".
yea that's what i think but lets wait for more info on this someone get it.
Does anyone have this? And if so how is it compared to the stock battery?

I got them but I haven't tested fully yet. I charged them and ran one down to 0 and fully charged it for 12 hours. I meant to bring it today to see how it held up but I forgot it. When you put in any new battery the device goes through this crazy battery drain syncing and such so I didn't want to reply until I cycled it a couple times. But my first impressions are good, as I said I loved them on my Note 2 and I'm sure they will be fine on the 3. A little side note, my Note 2 battery lasted longer than my Note 3 does.

Will reply with my findings in a few days. Gotta make sure I cycle completely.

Note 3 Pimp Slapped
Well it started off good and then at around 50 percent it died extremely fast. I have my second battery with me, I am going to calibrate it and see if that helps. The stock battery lasts a but longer but I'm hoping this is just a cycle issue and it will get better with time. My Note 2 had a similar issue in the beginning but the batteries got better.
Note 3 Pimp Slapped
Wow. Peel the label off to see what it really is.
I'm hoping it's just requires a cycle but I'm with poster above. Everything was going good just before 50%. Then it dropped rapidly

Any update? I'm on the fence to buy.
Thanks
I'd be interested in an update too but the reviews on Amazon don't look too promising. 3/5 stars.
Here's my quick review. Don't waste your money. You get what you pay for with this one. I gave the batteries a couple of cycles, and they don't even last as long as the original. As soon as the charge is at 100% within 5 min it drops to 95%, and then a steady drop after that. Both batteries are the same, so it's not like one is bad. The original can last much longer. I've had extended batteries from other companies, and these are by far the worst. My top two are Mugen and ZeroLemon. Stick with those brands.

Screw ZeroLemon

Just got this in my email. As a person that used their battery on my galaxy note 2, 3, and 4, I am more than disappointed at how us nexus 6 users got a big middle finger then a weak response for extended battery.
If you don't need or care for extended battery then please don't comment. This is for users like me who do need or prefer extended batteries regardless of the bulkiness and extra weight

That is an INTERNAL battery. Unlike the Note Edge, the Nexus 6 DOES NOT HAVE A SWAPPABLE INTERNAL BATTERY. I am currently using the Zerolemon battery case for the Nexus 6 and it does what it needs to. If they had made it any bulkier, nobody would have purchased it.
That makes sense about the removable battery but still 3500 is pretty weak

You do realize that the 3500 is in addition to the 3220 that the Nexus already has right? That's 6720 total and almost as much as the 7000 in my galaxy S3 back in the day.

It doesn't actually work that way. There's a difference between using an extended battery and having a regular battery with extra 3500 charger. From experience the latter ends up using more battery somehow and making your phone hot
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
I've never had a heating issue with my battery cases on other phones. I haven't used one on the Nexus yet cause I got a TYLT charger for work.
Even if it's a "75%" increase its still a huge increase and knowing Zerolemon, it will be a great product. Too bad they took a year to release it and I'm already in "what's my next phone mode"

Galaxy Note 3 - Battery Update - 10th May 2016

Many of the threads discussing battery replacements in this section are dispersed and old.
However,
I'm asking for help with updated opinions/recommendations/insights please.
I have a Note 3 (5.0) N9005 - original Samsung battery, and it needs replacement.
Problem: As I have a spigen neo hybrid case, I want a battery that fits into the original note 3 cover.
I am looking for safe bets - companies whose batteries are not risky nor untested by members.
Obviously there is the option of another stock Samsung original - but are there established/safe alternatives that will give me better 'juice' than stock, but still fit in the original cover?
My thanks to any that are willing to share their advice/opinions & contribute.
Capt. M
I just recently bought a anker for my note 3 they are trusted and a very respected company. Look for a anker on amazon for your note 3. Yes it will fit same exact size. I use to have neo hybrid. They give you a warranty as well.

Why did you choose the anker over stock?
On the anker website - there also have customer reviews of each product. Some of the note 3 battery reviews are quite poor?
I chose anker because my brother bought one for his note 4 I already knew of anker and needed a battery, he said it was great. Reviews are hit and miss take them with a grain of salt, I've bought a power add Apollo charger and love it works flawless yet on amazon where I bought it many reviews are negative. Also companies can and do hire people for good and bad reviews. The original battery is hard to find unless you directly contact Samsung they can be rather annoying with customer service with my run ins I've had with them over chargers. Most if not all Samsung OEM for note 3 on amazon are knock offs there fake. If I'm unhappy with the battery I can still return it, they gave me and everyone a warranty, they have good packaging and they only use grade A cells, from what I've experienced and my brother I believe they are great. I hope this helps if you need more info message me anytime.
Hi,
take one of these, they are great, greater then the ones from samsung!

Anker for me long time user.
I'm interested in finding a solution that genuinely gives me an advantage over a samsung oem battery.
Is it true that no oem batteries were produced after 2014?
The manufacture date is printed on the battery. One of the things pushingme away from oem is that they will be 2-3 years old, and kept in storage for a long time.

I havr a question for those with a sammy oem battery. The date of manufacture is printed on the battery. Does anybody have one dated later than 2014???

Now, I see that you want a battery that fits the original cover, but many folks here can recommend the ZeroLemon 10 000 mAh battery. I'm using one.
Advantages:
+ comes with a dual layer TPU case with hard plastic shell;
+ you can get 2 to 3 days of extremely heavy usage, 5, if you are moderate, and a whole week with light usage (once did 6 days with 38% battery left, got tired of trying to drain it all the way and charged it, screenshots attached).
Disadvantages:
- the thing becomes really ugly, thick and heavy, you better have big pockets and strong belts. Yes, that's the only disadvantage. Well, if you change SD or SIM cards frequently, that would be a disadvantage too.
After the first calibration charges and discharges of the battery, it takes some 6 hours to charge from 0 to 100%, but 6 hours of charging for 3 days of extreme usage - that's more than a fair deal for me.
I'm in two minds. Oem vs third party.
Problem with oems are, it seems that the last production run was 2014???
Is it really the case that I'd have to purchase a two year old battery that has been in storage for that time?
First of all I checked my original battery and there is no manufacturing date that I can see, the closest I can come to date is serial number, but no idea how to decode it. Did they put manufacturing date later on?
2. if you want/need original size don't expect big capacity improvements: same size will have similar capacity give or take tolerances and chemistry need to be similar due to charging/ voltage.
3. Especially in the phone which is charged almost daily, number of cycles is more important than age. I have Li ion batteries probably almost 10 yrs old that still work, more or less.
4. There was suspicion that some OEM batt sold around were used and therefore already partially worn out.
5. If you use NFC, make sure the new battery has NFC antenna, some don't and NFC won't work there.
I bought battery called Stalion for about $10, it has NFC antenna, it holds charge as well as new OEM and if it wears out faster than OEM ( so far all's good, 6 months and counting) I'll buy new one for $10, not worth worrying about.
But if Note 6 will be as good as the rumors suggest this is all non issue in 3 months anyway.

Can you give me some more info on no. 4. his is new to me.
When I was looking for OEM batteries on Amazon (some stuff is sold by Amazon partners, not Amazon directly BTW ) some people left comments that batt. they got lasted less than old one they just replaced, some commented that they see scratches, like they were used, some said they didn't get original packaging, another commented that advertising never said those were brand new etc. etc. while others had no problem . Actually if what you said is true about OEM ending production in 2014, all those negative comments begin to make sense. At the end all those negative comments turned me off, to the point I bought off brand (Stalion) and I'm pretty happy with it.
for example here http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-Standard-Battery/dp/B00F3583S8 22% gave 1 star, that's one in five.
I like Anker but little luck with this phone for some reason . One works and other doesn't. The Anker do have NFC. Problem with OEM is that most are fake. Have several of those and 2/3 didn't last a month.

Is it possible to replace redmi note 2 battery with the redmi 5 battery?

Hello guys,
Lately I was thinking about changing my redmi note 2, which I was satisfied with, but with the battery capacity in new phones it makes you wonder, the phone is still in perfect state the only problem is the battery which I changed two times, and since I'm satisified with rest of the phones I'm thinking of putting larger capacity batter into it, like the redmi 5 one, sicne they are both li-ion batteries, and I think they have the same dimmensions, I just have to solder some wires, please tell me what you guys think, and if it's possible....
