Sucks, with the bumper and the screen protector they want $50 total for the Nexus 6. On the Kiskstart page they offer the iPhone bumper an screen protector, which is a two-sided screen protector, for $35 total.
The picture on their website showing off the oleophobic costing doesn't make sense. If it was resistant to water/oils the droplet would have a much higher contact angle due to the surface wanting to repel oils and water so the contact angle should be 70-90° for oleophobic and for 90°<angle <120°for a super oleophobic coating. Thus lead me to believe the coating isn't as good as it should be from their website.
I tend to over think things but understanding how this stuff actually works makes me question how good the coating is. Obviously you can't clearly measure the contact angle by eyeballing it however it certainly looks like its >70°
Anyway I'll end my over thinking rant here. Has anyone actually used their products that can vouch for the quality of them?
I had the rhinoshield screen protector on the nexus 5 for almost a year, it is awesome, does grab fingerprints but protection is top notch.

Just pre-ordered this. Also put in pre-order for the bumper case. We'll see what my money gets me when the items come in.
From people who have used Rhino Shield before is it worth it for the $25 or is it just and overpriced plastic screen protector?
I heard from people that it feels somewhere in between tempered glass and regular plastic screen protectors.
I'm considering my options since the curved glass doesn't seem like it's going to place nice with tempered glass screen protectors.
Just ordered the screen protector. After reading a lot of other posts from 1+1 and Iphone users it does seem to be like a good option.
I have not used a screen protector in a long time but want to keep my 6 case free so hoping this will help towards that.
Now we need another 11 people to order so they will go into production! :good:

Anyone get a shipping notification? Disregard... I read that as shipping December 3rd
Emailed them 3 weeks ago asking what their estimated shipping week would be, finally got back to me yesterday, here's what they said:
Hey
Sorry for the late reply (somehow missed your email), The Nexus 6 shield will be shipped on the weeks of 15th of Dec. There was a slight delay as we discover that every nexus 6 is difference. The variation of the front curved-glass is so large that we had to revised and test the cutout for several times.
Thanks you for the patience and very sorry for the delay.
hope this helps

Alright, So I bought the Skinomi screen protector from amazon. The first one I got I applied and it doesn't reach end to end. So I emailed the company from amazon that I bought it from and informed them that it didn't fit and sent them pictures. They sent out another one, which I got today, and it's the same exact size as the last one.
Anyone else have a skinomi screen protector, does it fit your screen? The pictue below shows the screen protector not reaching to the bottom.

My Clarivue screen protector was cut the similar to your Skinomi. Maybe a tad longer but still 1mm short of the screen. I have a TPU hybrid case on and it covered the bottom so I can't see that is short.
I just got this email fro them:
"Hello,
We allow about an 1/8" room on all screen protectors and skin. We do this because if it was exact then alot of people can not install it without messing up. I am sorry if this does not work for you, please contact customer service if you have anymore questions. Have a great day!
Thank You"
Yet, it doesn't say that on the order screen.
Is there a screen protector that fits the whole screen?
My ZAGG is even shorter. Kind of a bummer.
Wow, that is surprising about Zagg! While Zagg may not have the best feel to them, they usually fit perfect and are freaking unscratchable!!
The Otterbox screen protectors that can't with my Impact case and my Commuter case fit perfect! Well, I've actually only installed one, the one from the Impact, but they are identical.... The Otterbox also feels and looks like there is nothing on the screen at all. I am very impressed and pleased with the screen protector!! Another bonus is that it doesn't stick to the built in screen protector on the Defender like the Zagg did to the Ballistic HC case with my Evo 4G( no stupid baby powder trick needed, which barely even worked to begin with anyway.....)

I got the screen protector from FLsuperstore on ebay by recommendation of others on this forum, and I have to say, it really is a great screen protector. Cut is perfect, clarity is perfect, and I've been using it for two weeks with no scratches (went to the beach twice). I can't recommend it enough, my last screen protector on my Evo4G was the Steinheil Crystal Clear, and I feel like this screen protector works just as well. My Steinheil maybe felt a little thicker/harder, but still had scratches after I used it. This one I don't have any scratches yet, it still feels great. For $1.50 though, you can't go wrong. I was impressed enough to order their anti-glare to see how that fares.

Your Skinomi fits perfectly?
Also, thanks nhutpham! I'm gonna order one.
I've never had a screen protector on any item that was 100% coverage. They have all been at least .5 mm short in each direction. I can't see where anyone could install a screen protector properly if it was 100% accurate without mechanical assistance.
I've had Zagg, Skinomi, Clarivue, Skinz, Skin It and several others over the years.
I love my zagg, but it's cut even smaller than yours. According to the box it’s supposed to be "case friendly"
My skinomi fits perfectly... there's a VERY small gap but you want that... if the protector was cut to the exact size, it'd peel off on the edges. The gap on yours does seem a bit much though.

It's Corning Gorilla Glass so you can go to their website and download the technical data sheets if you want to know.

no mention of "surface hardness" there.
anyone?
What happened to get your glass scratched?

I noticed slight scratches from the stylus on mine. My screen protector was a day late too, D'oH!!! You'd think that the stylus wouldn't scratch it
If you're looking to get rid of minor scratches you can try some 3M polish like this person tried. I'm thinking about getting some to get the screen back to a more pristine condition and re-apply the screen protector.
**EDIT**
Using the info that thread of gorilla glas = = alkali-aluminosilicate may yield better search results. I found a PDF that has some info but no direct surface hardness mentioned in the paper.
Also the gorilla glass wiki has a range of different hardnesses: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorilla_Glass
Through all my own anecdotal evidence, I've come to the conclusion that a portion of corning's production method leaves something to be desired in terms of consistency. Throughout the internet, threads can be found that go something like:
"I thought this pos had Gorilla Glass!!!! It scratches way to $$&*% easily!!!"
"My phone has been through hell with no case or screen protector and no scratches! You must've done something unreasonable!!!"
I've seen this everywhere, about almost every phone, and have come to this conclusion. Even my own g glass phones have varied wildly in scratch resistance. I still prefer having gorilla glass, but I do think it's a bit hit-or-miss.
i had my phone for 2 days and it got 2 scratches just from being in the pockets of my sweatpants. i took it back to best buy and got another one and had them immediately put on a screen protector.
the glass isn't nearly as scratch resistant as my HTC inspire. i had it for a year and only had 1 scratch.

The 'scratches' from your stylus are most likely in the coating on the surface of the glass, not the actual glass. Even regular glass isn't scratched by plastic. Rubbing some finger grease into them should fill them back in. I've noticed similar behavior on my Infuse, and they tend to go away as oils from my fingers fill them in.
my scratch is deep enough to feel with my fingernail...i dont think the 3M polish is meant for a scratch this deep from what i read on the link. thanks tho!

I tried that and they still didn't go away. With the screen protector on though they are not noticeable. When I re-fit/replace the current screen protector I'll double check the "finger grease" theory
Just got this case from Amazon. $9.99 free shipping. If you are looking for a really thin case that doesn't add any bulk this case is for you. As far as protection it is very minimal. The case does raise up around the camera area though. S Pen is really easily accessible.
I also have a iLoome ScreenMate Flexible glas screen protector on the phone and the case does not affect it at all.

I meant to post pictures a while ago when I got the case, but I procrastinated. I believe I recieved my shipment on the 7th of October. I got around to taking pictures today along with the Spigen Crystal Protector i received on the same day as the case.
These are the only two Spigen items I ordered that arrived in a respectable time frame, although they were still late. I am still waiting for my Slim armor and Neo Hybrid cases that were suppose to ship on the 7th of October and have yet to show any movement on tracking I was sent on the 12th. My Glas tR hasn't posted as shipped yet either. When I get my Nexus 5, I will avoid Spigen in retaliation for this horrible experience.
The two products I received are flawless and durable. 5 star product rating. The case and protector still look perfect and scratch free for the 10 plus days they have been installed. Both are excellent products backed by horrible service and deceptive practices.

Nice Pics and review i ordered that case about three weeks ago still waiting .................. :cyclops:
I just got my Neo Hybrid Case to day after waiting for nearly a month , unfortunately i am not impressed at all and will be returning it , however this case looks promising ....
I got mine today and I am not liking it at all. It is a fingerprint/oil magnet in the back and do not like the top and bottom exposed. Will keep for now till I find a CruzerLite, Spigen 2piece case or Androidcentral.com Lloyd tpu case.

I just picked up BodyGuardz Pure glass screen protector from the AT&T store for my new Nexus 6 and this thing sucks. I've had it for like a day and all the way around the edges the thing is coming up and air it getting under there.
Actually in a couple spots I'm seeing dust/pocket lint build up too now I think. Some of the dust is out into the viewable portion of the screen and looks like crap.
AT&T said it comes with a 15 day return policy, don't like it return it for a full refund. They also said because I bought it in-store, it comes with a 1 year warranty from them that if anything goes wrong, bring it back and they will replace it free of charge OR if they no longer carry it they will give me whatever replaced it.
I know other screen protectors were having issues but I guess I thought this one was good to go after poking around the net.
Should I return it and try something else? If I keep it and say in a couple months the build up is bad, will AT&T replace it for that reason alone?
I'm pretty bummed out for $45.00 dollars plus tax!
Also let me ask this. Do the tempered glass screen protectors help protect against screen cracking really? I've always used the ZAGG HD wet film type and if I ever broke a screen it was still usable but wouldn't this glass stuff just break too? Never had a tempered glass screen protector before.
Also what is the main reason for N6 breakage so far? Is it just bad luck or are these phones just flexible enough that the glass breaks? It's really sounding like the Note 4 with it's aluminum frame might be a better phone build wise. I really wanted the pure Google experience but I now I'm having second thoughts after seeing all of these people having breaking issues.
There's a whole thread dedicated to tempered glass protectors. Read/post there

Odd...my BodyGuardz glass (pre ordered with phone) works and fits fantastic! Maybe some are out of spec, while some aren't... It does lack beveled edges though... The Zagg Glass on the wife's iPhone 6 is better quality, and that has a lifetime replacement warranty, if activated within 10 days of purchase...

Yes I saw the thread BUT due to the fact EVERYONE is posting tons of stuff about every other glass protector too, posts kind of get lost in the shuffle. I did post in that thread a couple times.

HMMM wonder if I should go have AT&T install another one then.
BodyGuardz gives them a 30-day return and a life time warranty threw them, you just pay some super high inflated "shipping" fee.
AT&T actually gives you a 1-year in-store warrant apparently which is why I bought it locally at my AT&T Corporate store.
Here is what I have going on.

Interesting. You're the first person that I've see that has reported it sat perfectly flat on their screen. Everyone else that has gotten one has reported that they had the same issue as me and the tempered glass screen thread. Now I think I want to go back to AT&T and have them try another one.
I mean yours looks perfect.
Has anyone used one on the shield? Does the stylus work with it well? And I was wondering if anyone knows of any other tablets with the same size screen that would be compatible with ours because there aren't many options and they are kind of pricey.

May I ask which one you bought? I'm trying to decide between the Sparin or intelliGLASS HD. Both have decent reviews but I no nothing about either company.
I got the intelliglass one.. Its still solid no complaints
Sent from my SHIELD Tablet using Tapatalk
Go for the Intelliglass...
Easy to clean, looks beautiful, covers the entire screen (ambient sensor etc), and is always slippery lol (awesome oleophobic coating)
Thanks for the quick responses. I'll probably order the Intelliglass screen protector along with a case. Random question for you both: Do you have any random separation between the casing and the screen around the speaker grill? Mine had a very small one and I'm thinking of exchanging it
I have purchased the Sparin one, and it was fine but extremely difficult to put on correctly. The 9H hardness level means that it's going to be a bit brittle so you can't use the tape trick if you get dust under it.
I bought the Sparin one. As to a comment above...all tempered glass screen protectors are brittle. If you get dust trapped underneath, you must take great care to lift it without breaking it. I had to lift mine as I put it on a bit off center. I used a razor blade along an edge to lift it up and reapply it, with no issues. I have a review of it and an "Exact" brand case on this forum, with pics. Also, the Sparin does NOT have the cutout for the sensors. Even without the cutout, I've noticed no issues with the sensors not working. As to smoothness, I notice no difference between the naked glass and the now covered glass. As to sensitivity, I laid the cover on top of the screen while it still had the peel off protective layer on it, while it was still in it's protective foam envelope (was checking for rough size) and I still had no issues with the screen picking up my finger. Even though the 3 extra layers of material were basically opaque, i could still easily see stuff moving under my finger through all 3 layers with the screen set at max bright.
I have the Intelliarmor one installed and love it. Their oleophobic coating is the best of all the tgsp's I've tried on multiple devices. They're not the cheapest but their customer support is great though most sellers on amazon would gladly send a replacement even if you're the one who messed up the tgsp.
