I am running alliance rom MJ9, safestrap 4.3 bootloader. I am still on 4.3, can I update to ND7 alliance rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-2-verizon/development/rom-alliancerom-build-27-t2896823) without having to take the OTA to 4.4.2? like can I use my current safestrap and everything(MJ9) and upgrade my rom only to ND7(4.4.2)? I want to be able to run 4.4.2 but still reset my phone back to 4.3 rom after I am ready to get rid of it/sell it, I don't want to UPDATE my PHONE to 4.3 I want to put a ROM on 4.4.2
If you have a locked bootloader and are using Safestrap you cannot flash Alliance build 27 and up. It is because to use safe strap the way it is being used on the Verizon note 2, the rom has to flash over the stock rom, instead of using a rom slot and it is using the stock kernel.
The kernel in the rom you want to flash have to be the same as the stock kernel you are running now or it will not work for you. The kernel in Alliance build 27 and up is incompatible.

I've been away from the RAZR community for a while and forget the methods for reverting to stock. Will the DroidRazrUtility 1.82 revert my phone back to stock?
I'm running SafeStrap v3.11
ROM: LiquidSmooth (Liquid-JB-v2.3-OFFICIAL)
Android Version: 4.2.2
What's your stock android version?

I forget. It's been a while since I used this phone. I believe stock was 4.1.2
Regardless, I wiped my custom ROM slot, activated stock ROM, uninstalled SafeStrap and factory reset the phone. It's basically stock but rooted and good to go to whoever decides to buy it.
I also need to revert mine to stock. I accidentally installed fat free bean rom on the stock rom slot. There original version of Android on my phone was 4.1.2. The rom installed is a moto based Rom though.

Hey guys I have been on CM11 for a while now and I have decided I just want basically a stock TW ROM now a days...something that is on the newest firmware if possible. I ran Hyperdrive for a while but it hasn't been updated in a month and I would like something more stock anyways.
I may just go back to stock MDK with root...
Also what is the newest radios?
Thanks
Development for this device has slowed down a lot, so Hyperdrive and Jellybeans are about your only choice, but neither have been updated in quite a while.
I was still running CleanROM 1.6.5 up until Hyperdreive RLS12 came out.
HD just updated on Christmas ... You guys will learn monthly updates are pretty quick for tw roms. I'm fairly sure jellybeans won't be getting another update. But we have a patch you can flash to use international tw ROMs so you really have tons of options.

I wondered this myself recently before taking the TW plunge.
Newest radio is MK2.
Good stock roms are old&slow's stock MK2 or jrkruse's. Old&slow's rom is completely stock. jrkruse's has aroma options.

as long as you don't take an OTA or odin a later firmware image...if you do that, your bootloader is locked. There are TW based ROMS that you can set up to be close to stock.
I just put factory stock back on but am rooted and custom recovery

I am currently running jellybeans ver21 on android 4.1.2. Can I just use odin and upgrade the MJ9 firmware then wipe and load new roms using the newest firmware or do I have to go back to stock first?

From what I read (because I have the MJ9), having 4.1.2 with MJ9 can either cause messy problems with some apps and sms/mms/calls/data/etc. or works perfectly fine (usually when you flash a custom ROM).
I haven't done it myself but you're more than welcome to do a complete backup of everything on your phone and flash MJ9.
Best of luck to you.

I went from 4.1.2 and Beans 22. I flashed mj9 with Odin, booted immediately in to recovery and then flashed Alliance 26. It's working perfectly.

Try this one if you like a minimal rom with some zip. Make sure you are running Safestrap 3.72. You can only use the stock slot.

Make sure that the roms are touchwiz so you dont brick your phone. Good luck finding the right rom

Hello, I am running CM11 M12 on my verizon gs4 MDK and I tried today to flash NC5 rom, stock and hyperdrive however I got the secure failed kernel, and upon a quick xda search I found that It is 4.3+ roms need safestrap? I dont think I installed Loki on my phone, but I could be wrong. I recovered to nandroid. I was just wondering If i could go to 4.4.2 TW ROM as I sometimes experience some WIFI & BT issues. As I am developing an app I want to make sure it works on stock rom, but I want to maintain root. Thanks in advance for any help.
