Ooh! Good to be back, eh?
May I suggest theming your ROM with Lollipop (like Icons, Fonts, SystemUI, Settings, and Stuff) on your next build? It's all the craze nowadays, so it would be nice if your ROM has it too... As always... My suggestion... :good:
Anyways, thanks for the great ROM, man...

Wow, I searched "jellycast V7" but that didn't bring me to this thread. Instead I Found JellyCast-v7-SFS and flashed it. What means "SFS"?
I hope you are still active @emokeizer. All be it not for LG L3. I am still playing with this phone, just for fun and education. (I know I am crazy).
I am going to flash this rev1 without wipe because I already worked so many hours on customizing the SFS installation. By the way, why the hell was that awesome thread closed?
I end my post with the most important thing: kudos to your ROM! I have been playing a lot of hours with Cyanoid but your rom feels much snappier right away (without any extra mods, not even oc nor swap nor sc) and after google play (+ services) updated themselves (which is a big culprit). Quite remarkable. I did found some negatives but until now only minor things.

Stoked! I've always preferred your roms on the Slide. Always the fastest.
Is this built straight from AOSP? Not from CM6?
Can't wait man. Thanks for the teaser vid

I used vendor and proprietary files from CM but everything else is stock. Its a great rom, far surpasses my last rom.
Well crap if I could root I'd so use this rom but guess I'll hafta wait for a more dumbed down version that works with my phone.
What do you all think?
It looks quick, 2.2.1 ?? I'm running Cyanogen's RC3 OC 807mhz, And it's stable. I'll definitely Flash it as soon as you release it ! Any issues thus far ? Either way I thank you for putting this together and helping out the MTS group !
This is actually my 1st post. I lurk and get my info and roms from here. I felt compelled to answer. The little teaser looks great. The rom looks very professional with a lot of time and care put into it. I've used your roms in the past with good results and satisfaction. Keep doing the good work. I like to think there are a lot of people like me that are grateful for whcm.at you guys do but just don't say much. Anyway good job, can't wait to try it and thanks for your time and effort. There are a lot of people who really appreciate it.
Thanks guys! It is quick smooth, there are also no errors. I think you guys will be blown away when its released

Nice! Any time frame? =D
If you posted this right now...I'd flash it. Does is have the built-in overclock kernal that CM6.1 has?
Yes it has it, I dont want to put any dates/times because Im not finished tweaking it, and Im still adding features!
Man i can tell this forum is full of great devs already. Seen your video on this ROM and the other ROM you released and can't wait to try this ROM out. I was trying to check out a release with the 10 second boot time and no luck. Phone boots up fast right now but is it actually a reality to have a 10 second boot time?
Will it have apps2sd built in?
It will not have App2sd, Im sure acejoker can mod the boot.img to allow app2ext but it wont have it by default.
Also Im going to be releasing a public beta, so heres the deal: head here http://goo.gl/O92vH and register, you will see a post "ArayrayMod Revamped Beta". Post a comment like "I want this beta" or something, and if 25+ users post there I will release the beta
The video looks absolutely astounding for a teaser. And boy am I teased. Moment you mention beta possibilities I jumped on it ;-)
can't wait for this!
I think my brother will be happy to try this on the slide i gave him
Looks f'n aweome, tethering/hotspot working off the jump too???
Yes it is, make sure to get everyone to SA (Simply-Android) and post in the thread.

Hey guys, Just wanted to let you know I am working on releasing Blackhole 4.0, which will be based on the DL30 Froyo ROM, but to do so, and streamline my section of Rom Manager in the process, Current Blackhole ROM downloads will be unavailable for up to 48 hours. When it comes back up, my section of Rom Manager will still be a one-stop-shop for all your fascinate needs: mods, apps, themes, kernels, etc. but I will be cleaning out some older unnecessary stuff, and updating all the apps to their latest versions. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Working great so far, although i notice some lag when typing sometimes. Also, I never got a chance to customize anything, did I do something wrong? Some stock apps I wanted are missing but I figure I can probably just restore them from titanium backup.

Basically because the phone is so good and doesn't really need that many tweaks the only differentiation a lot of people can get between ROMs is themeing their creation. Considering we have an absolute ton of ROMs that are exactly the same apart from said them, I would call it themeing.
I'm all for the people creating ROMs but when the only difference between ROMs is the colours, I just can't be bothered with them. If they actually give me better performance and can prove it, then I will try it out.
Also I think the name of the ROM is completely misleading. People will come into this thread, giving it page views, purely on the basis that they will think it is either a Honeycomb ROM or a Honeycomb themed ROM.
Also the OP makes a number of ROMs (which 2 people have sort of pointed out, but I'm being blunt with it) with all the same features and the only difference being the looks. What he should really do, rather than spamming us with ROMs is to create 1 ROM and then release themes for it.

Agreed. If the main/only difference is the theme, then release as a theme, not yet another ROM. Leave ROMs to the ROM guys.
Why everybody whining about if this a rom or not if you don't like it don't use it,rember dev do this for free.

I didn't say that!
If you read more carefully my post, you 'll understand what I wrote.
I said that I am a fan of dev's themes and I am waiting for the link to the rom he made.
Don't twist my writings again please.
As for the comments made by a few members below my post, I have to say this:
If you think that the rom is the same with every other rom that has been made so far, without even bother to try it on in order to verify your opinion then DO NOT BOTHER COMMENTING IN THE THREAD without having the proper proof.

I came in expecting a honeycomb themed ROM (which I didn't get).
If you look through its features, it is exactly the same as every other stock based ROM using pretty much the exact same tweaks. I know we should encourage people to dev, but what is the point when all they are doing is getting the leaked KG1, deodexing it, adding the tweaks and theme-ing it. Within all of that, the only hard part is the theme-ing.
I'm gonna shut up now as I have created a thread for my and other people's moaning.
Edit: One quick thing. The reason why Fallen Spartan took it to mean that you thought it was just theme'ing would be this quote which is quite clear cut.

[Q] slim/minimal stock rom???

Hey guys, i'm lokking for a rom like insanity ii or surface rom (sgs) for my sgs2. I love insanity ii but i'm looking for a stock rom not aosp.
to me it seems like there is no really small stock rom for the sgs2 that has all the bloatware removed and not added a lot of other crap into it by the addon developer..
I'm talking <100mb here!
Thanks for your help.

You can just pick any rom you want, open the zip with winzip, winrar, 7zip or w/e (thats open not extract) and delete the apks you dont want, theres a list of basically every apk and what it does in my sig.
And even stripped bare with all the tw apps removed i only ever really got the rom down to 180meg ish, these days i just freeze apps with titanium, its not like we need the space on the system partition.
See, thats why i need a small rom, because its not just the apps creating a too big rom
Having a too big rom with a lot of crap that i dont even need just really pisses me off.

Everyone has different needs so doing slim roms will mean there is always someone asking for something added/removed, your best bet is to poke around in the zip and remove stuff you dont want, its not to hard, just keep a working backup incase you remove something that means it wont boot.
Also samsung roms will never be as small as AOSP roms as there framework is bloated by touchwizz (which you cant remove from the framework, only the apps.
Rom Kitchen on XDA has slim rom build your own rom
Google Tornado2 rom very light most apps stripped out .
jje
You could try this,
First download WinZIP and the ROM of your choice.
1.Put the cursor on top of the ROM and right click once and you will get a menu.
2.Select "open with..." and select WinZIP which will open the ROM.
3.Double left click SYSTEM then APP to open system apps folder and delete what you dont want.
4.Double left click DATA then APP will open then apps folder where (normally) the dev puts their added apps.Delete what you dont want
To delete left click once one the app and then DELETE in the control panal at the top.
Deletable Samsung apps list: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...SENVeXlqUm5vV0E&single=true&gid=0&output=html
Don't usually advise on ROMs, but at least you made your needs clear.
This is what you want, trust me - krinyo's SlimROM. Just over 100 MB (114 I think, but you can strip it down further if that floats your boat).
Just works - stable as a Bethlehem nativity scene.
Slimmer than my wife's waist.
Faster than Usain on coke.
Better support than Pammy Anderson's bra.
Been using it exclusively for 3 or 4 weeks now (EDIT - 6 weeks, if it matters...), not changing for love and money. Themes for all tastes too.
Go on - you'll love it
Man i love you for that post

Hi,
I'm really sorry for starting a topic like this, but this forum/subsection is really so cluttered...
I'm just looking for a stable, light, snappy ROM. A ROM which has proven it's worth. As little bugs as possible, no experimental features!
And also a kernel which fits best.
I would like like all hardware functions of my phone to keep working though:

You will get a bunch of different answers as each rom runs differently depending on set up and apps. To be honest looking for a rom in a development forum and you will always find things to be experimental. XDA is not about finding stable bug free roms. It is about learning and development.

I don't entirely agree. My previous phone was a HTC Desire, there were a lot of experimental ROMs, but also a lot of stable running ROMs.
I agree that most ROMs will always be a little experimental. But there's experimental and experimental ... If you know what I mean
What I'm trying to say is, I would like to have a ROM which is made by someone who really knows what he's doing and not just some barely tested ROM which will crash every 5 seconds
As for me, i havent try another ROM on my phone cos most has Bug.... have been using NeroDroid ROM since i bought my phone & i havent for once regret dat!!! i keep praying for tha Developer every blessed day for making a wonderful ROM!

I understand that but really this is development forum for developers to try out things that may cause issues or even brick a device if you don't understand exactly what your doing. This always has been and always will be the case. Just be happy that the devs even offer fixes unlike a few years ago when it was up to the users to dug in and fix issues they come across. Flashing custom roms should never be taken with a grain of salt or done cause people think it is cool or fun. We all should be hear to learn. If your not learning something when flashing then it really is a waste if time.

I have some knowledge about the proces of flashing roms/customizing phones. I just had more for my previous phone. Everything is a little new for the minipro.
That's also the reason I'm looking for a lite ROM, less potential problems to encounter
if u want really a light rom u could try pro-x rom, it is not posted here in xda, but if u type it on google u could find it on that guy website
nice, will check that one out also
In my opinion if you want a light & stable ROM you should stick with stock ROM. Thats what I have done. I just removed all the bloatware and unnecessary crap that I will never use, it has the best battery life and you don't really have to worry about it crashing. Also, I used Rage Kernel as it provides amazing battery life. To make my life easier I installed extra MODs that are essential. Just look at my signature for all the stuff I have installed.

You're right, but I would like to go one step further, I would also (maybe) like to get rid of the Sony apps. Like the Sony launcher, text-app, ... and start using the android default apps.
Is this also possible to remove those system apps from the stock rom?

Yeah, if you are rooted you can do anything you want! That's what I have done, I removed most Sony stock apps and replaced them with the 1s CyanogenMod supplies (which is stock). Some apps I kept the same due to they look nicer!
To be exact, the only thing I changed was the Phone, Contacts & Messaging apps. Everything else I kept the same

Interesting, thanks.
Do you just remove rhese apps with Titanium? Or using Flashtool? Or any other method?
And what are 1s CyanogenMod supplies?

The ones, that are CyanogenMod.
The apps from CyanogenMod ROMs
And indeed, ICS ROMs are not fully stable yet, still have some bugs there and there.

Thanks for the lead. The PRO-X [ROM] is working great in my Mini Pro (SK17i)
BTW, it is now posted on this forum - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1639720
I tried three different ROMs in the last one week before settling on this one.
Cyanogenmod 7.1.02 - Didn't work, faced the boot loop problem.
MIUIv4 2.4.6 - Nice UI, but phone felt sluggish and video play was jerky.
4.0.2.A.0.69 Generic (PreRooted) with 66 Baseband - Camera flash was not working.
But finally, PRO-X gives me everything I want - a light, snappy rom with fully functional hardware and no bugs (so far). Had it for two days now.
==> Rage Kernel v2.8 + Baseband 64 + PRO-X v2.2 ROM
Cheers.
