Hi everybody,
I accidently deleted both the apk and odex from/system/app while trying to get rid of that annoying shutter noise. For the first time in my life i haven't backed up the file (or have a cwm backup) anybody be able to lend me a hand in getting the app back and running? Is it even possible with the TW framework thingy?
Cheers in advance
edit: oh and I'm on stock rom (and rooted)
Get a custom Samsung base ROM and get the file

Help! The stock camera apps disappear. I have the original LGCameraApp.apk saved in /system/priv-app/LGCameraApp , set the permission to rw-r--r-- , the original LGCameraApp..odex saved in /system/priv-app/LGCameraApp/ARM. I have restarted many times but the camera apps is still gone. My phone is rooted. I am running 5.1.1
So such problem appears is, I want to use the LG V20 camera apps in V10 as there are more settings in V20 apps. I downloaded the V20 stock firmware from XDA forum then extract it. I took the LGCameraApp.apk and the LGCameraApp.odex and then place them in the folders in V10 by using root explorer. I backup my original LGCameraApp.apk and LGCameraApp.odex by renaming them to LGCameraApp-copy.apk and LGCameraApp-copy.odex. I restarted the phone and then went back to my app drawer but the camera does not open. I thought I was failed in just replacing the V20 camera. Then I deleted the apps in LGCameraApp.apk and LGCameraApp.odex. I then rename the backup LGCameraApp-copy.apk to LGCameraApp.apk and LGCameraApp-copy.odex to LGCameraApp.odex. Restarted my phone. The camera is gone!
Here is the question:
1. How to port V20 camera app to V10?
2. How to restore the V10 camera app?
I went through the forums but I can't find the solution. The closest one is the following but it is for G4, not for V10
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/themes-apps/help-bringing-lg-v10s-camera-to-g4-t3223371
I tried downloading the apps in that thread but it does not work. The camera can't be opened.
Anyone help?

You can try this, there is an option for v10 or g5 camera
If this won't work for you restore a backup (if you made one) or flash you current stock rom over without wipe

Sure, FlashFire mostly plays nice with aroma packages but i would still recommend TWRP
The second or third post in that thread will list what each contains, if you only are interested in camera choices than go with the tweaks packages

I assume you didn't run a nandroid backup prior to flashing or you would have tried this?
If not if there is a recovery flashable version of your current ROM dirty flash this and you should be good
Otherwise you may need to do a full wipe and reflash rom

You have TWRP, don't you? I've seen posts where you flashed custom ROMs:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/help/stuck-pixel-experience-rom-bo-to-stock-t3890723
So, you have TWRP.
1) Just restore recent TWRP backup.
Or
2) Just dirty flash the most recent TWRP-flashable stock firmware zip for your H930 phone. Then reflash Magisk.

It's going to be at least 12 hours more before I can send the files. I'm at work right now. You can restore the files yourself in a few minutes.
Sent via open market LG US998 V30/V30+

If you dirty flash the H930 TWRP flashable zip, you won't lose any data. That's how we update to new firmware and keep data. The only difference is you're flashing the same firmware, to repair.
I'll try to send the files tonight if you can't do that for some reason.
here's the download link:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603911642
But you could have easily -- in just a few minutes -- dirty flashed your H930 stock firmware again with TWRP-flashable zip. You wouldn't have lost any data, and I wouldn't be having to zip the file from my phone, upload to Google Drive, download to my PC, upload to Android Host Files... I like helping people but this you could have solved yourself in 5 minutes. I don't understand why you didn't.
Also, before go deleting any system files from your phone, I strongly urge you to make a TWRP backup. I make a backup every couple of days. I've rolled back many mistakes I've made with the magic of TWRP backup. Everybody makes mistakes -- I'm not faulting you for that. But, either dirty flashing TWRP-flashable zip or TWRP restore of recent backup would have solved your issue.
I just upgrade to stock pie US998 (I tried dirty flashing but it did not work, so had to do clean flash) and try to upgrade to the latest LG camera app (8.0 something) but it did not work so I am trying to get back to LG pie camera stock but can not find a way to do it.
Is it a way to go back without doing a clean flash again?
Thanks for any help.
Ok, I was able to install the latest working lg camera app (ver 7.0.191) again, and this is what I did (it may help someone else with another system app)
You need root for this
1.- With titanuim backup look for at the folder where the lg camera app resides (probably is goinfg to be in data/app/lg.camera)
1a.- If you previously had titanium backup installed you can just restore the backup lg camera app
2.- Use any root explorer and go to the lg camera folder
3.- Deleted all the files, just the files not the folder inside it (I left all the folder empy)
4.- Restart phone
5.- Installed the lg camera app 7.0.191 from https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/lgelectronics/lg-camera/lg-camera-7-0-191-release/
6.- Restart phone
Worked again...
