It seems that the wifi funkction is weak or ? May be the wife doesn`t like encryptions ? When I`m connected via bluetooth with the note 4 all updates are fast - the same without bluetooth just via wifi and gear ...time goes by - is there anything wrong ???

It Works ok if im less than 5 meters away from server. But anything over that and its unusable. I work about 10 meters from the server. And I get at least 2 - 3 bars of signal out of 4. And I can't even post a comment on here. The speed is very fast for about 30 seconds and then ridiculously slow. It also struggles to connect. Tries about 3 or 4 times before it connects. I'm running cm10 on s3 but have this problem on stock, omega and checkrom. I had simular problems with the s2 aswell but not s1. I don't want to use wifi kill as its my work and it might not solve the problem. Is this the s3 working on networks with multiple apns? Is there a code I can call to turn off power saving ?? Can't force to 5ghz either.
Some advice would be massively helpful. I am getting very frustrated.
Thanks in advanced

I believe the problem lies in network or in the wifi router. Maybe it's overloaded, try on-off cycling the router and see if it works then?
I kinda doubt that the issue is in the phone
I've fixed it now mate. Well chuffed. Don't know what it was really. But the method I used in above thread worked. It all started when I first rooted and flashed omega. Cm9 got rid of the authentication error (so it seems Sammy is at fault there) as for the WiFi range of about 3 meters and no connectivity after that distance. I'm not sure. Perhaps a problem deep in the settings I could not find. But completely wiping all settings worked. Not ideal. But confirmed working all day at work. So maybe a omega fault I don't know. Jus happy to have fixed it

It can be many problems! Maybe the ROM that you are runing has poor Wi-Fi support or maybe the phone is just "getting old" or maybe its the Wi-Fi set that sends you the signal!
I got a s3 which is not old but I've fixed it now. Thanks

I have suddenly developed an issue with my new SGS3. When using the YouTube app I am disconnected from my wifi and it uses mobile data (a rather costly exercise!). It seems to only happen when I watch full screen in landscape for some strange reason.
This seems to be a recent occurrence. I did try uninstalling updates to the app and tested but still had the same problem.
Anyone else experiencing this and any solutions?
I am using stock software with no rooting.
Opposite for me, I can only use WiFi and it won't work on 3g

Yeah, in my online search for a solution I have come across mention of the opposite problem for some. Weird. I'm hoping someone has a solution or do we need need to wait for Google to get their act together?

This may help Here. Also try forgetting the WiFi network you are on then setting up the network again.
No.. still not working

I finally (after much trial, error and waiting) have figured out the S-Voice not talking back resolution. If you want to make your S-Voice app talk back to you instead of just receiving a response, simply download SVOX Classic TTS (text to speech.) It will replace the original TTS out that Samsung had set up for S-Voice and replaces it with one of over 40 cool voices you can chose from. Then, just go to settings/language and input/text-to-speech output, and select SVOX Classic TTS. It's that easy! Then open up s-voice after downloading your language/voice type and you're ready for some good convo with S-Voice. Hope this helps!!!! Comment and let me know if it did since I'm pretty new with posting comments here.

because we can't.
simply, we use wifi drivers in order to work tethering.

How wifi tethering and wifi together make any sence?
When your data is on and wifi is connected all trafic goes through wifi anyway?
There is simply no logical reason to have both of them on at the same time.
I have a new nexus 9 and when i am at work on the public internet it doesnt seem to have any problems but when i go home and get on my own network it seems to drop alot. its not a signal issue as when i am connected i have full bars. I am wondering if i am on the wrong channel or something for the tablet itself?
