I try to update 3.000sp, received a 8705 error; I had replacing the boot, recovery, system partition. I can not phone, with QPST amend the wrong parameters can anyone give me a complete system backup, it is best to include all partitions, it is best to tell the specific methods;. I was able to carry out simple commands to operate. Who can provide a mobile phone qpst the NV file backup? Please give me help! Or can anyone tell me the phone's NV data in that partition, how backup and recovery? Thank you!
I'm trying to update too.. No luck same code error.. But I think the problem is the update looks for specific apps (bloatware) that I uninstalled when I rooted it.. Sorry I'm not much help in just looking for the same system backup you are.. But more specifically the DEVICE/SYSTEM/APP folder from a stock device...

Hi all.
I have backed up my razr yesterday because today i was making a guide in one of my local forums.
i backed it up with Bootmenu (for ICS) that has been released here in the development section, but i cuted it while it was backing up the webtop partition because i needed the phone with me on the go.
now it fails to restore it manually because of this stupid MD5 checksum...
there is any way to restore that backup by myself?
maybe accessing to the phones root folder?
It would really help me if someone knows the answer.
Thanks in advance
I guess your phone run out of space while performing backup.
Which partition you want to restore?? (except webtop.. it's broken)
It will be easy for me to help you if you can list down all files (*.tar) inside the backup folder you make yesterday

Please post in the correct section

it backed up everything except this webtop partition.
any way i recovered everything with an app i don't remember its name, but its not titanium backup.
its better than mess with everything and its easy.
This is the deal: I made a restore point, CWM f**ked it up, I can't use it from some reason but I can still open the data.ext4.tar file in windows with winrar.
what I eventually want is to fully restore everything that is stored in that restore point.
if I would to extract that archive manually, where would I put it?
that corrupted restore point (CWM says so whenever I try to use that restore point "data is corrupt" or something)
is from today, I am using a working restore point from 2 months ago.
I saw that regardless of which restore point I am using, the contents of the path;
/mnt/sdcard
do not change - meaning - all my apps' data is still saved and unharmed
the only thing missing is my new apps themselves.
I need to extract the names of all the apps that I had in that restore point,
then the names of the apps that I currently have from the working restore point made 2 months ago.
then I need to compare between them and find the orphan records - these would be the missing apps that I need to reinstall
this is where you come in - I need help in extracting this information from that .tar file,
I don't know what to make if it's folders structure - please help me fix everything that CWM destroyed for me.
Your help would be super appreciated I promise you that!
Hey Guys
My i9300 was running stock rom and i decided to flash the illusion rom. but i downloaded and flashed the wrong file. so now my imei number is lost and i get no signal.
I have backup of IMEI from the software EFS pro but it does not restore. the software shows all ok but the IMEI on phone is still unknown.
Also there is a file on my sd card with the backup of efs. maybe a rom previously flashed may have taken the backup. I can try and restore that.
Please help me how to do so. its a tar.gz file
Please help me restore my IMEI number. i have no phone signal and dont want to go to service center because my phone is rooted and its voided warranty.
also i had a nandroid backup i restored it and all my data has been restored but not the IMEI
thanks in advance.
Can't help you to get your IMEI back, but to use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.triangleaway , use Odin (or mobileOdin) or unroot it you don't need a IMEI.
Tar files are flashed via Odin .

Actually this may be simpler than expected.
tar.gz can be flashed from odin since now it has an /efs field. That alone may be enough. But please do another backup before trying anything. Really, just copying all the files over to somewhere safe is enough.
But Tar.gz is a compressed file (like zip). Have you tried to check what's inside that tar.gz? I'd decompress it to somewhere and compare it to what's inside your /efs partition on your phone. If it seems the same, i'd do a new /efs backup and try replacing the contents of the /efs with the uncompressed backup.
You may need to do this through adb on recovery mode - once, brain went full retard and wiped my /efs partition by not thinking about what i was doing, phone instantly rebooted on the spot to never normally boot again until fixed (had an awesome weekend trying to figure how to fix it , posted somewhere around here how i did it). Doing it from recovery is just to avoid that. Also, all this is assuming some file on your /efs is just corrupted and your backup is in good shape.
If you're still feeling unsure you can (and should) search for related stuff around here in xda. There is PLENTY of info about lost/corrupted /efs around, happens quite often.
Hey guys,
Thank you very much for your replies
It's quite shocking but an official firmware flash via odin solved the problem.
I guess my imei was just corrupted.
Thanks
Hey guys, I had the same problem, but now I know what went wrong, thanks!
I'm "cloning" 200 Jiayu G3 (MediaTek) Android devices for a non-profit organization working in Africa. I make a nandroid backup via CWM of one G3 device and then restore it to the other 200 devices, however the NVRAM/IMEI info (wifi/bluetooth MAC addresses + IMEI #) get cloned as well. Is there way to remove the NVRAM/IMEI data from the Nandroid backup so the device specific identifiers are retained on the other phones? MTKDroid Tools restore process is laborious and it seems the guys who post ROMs are able to prevent overwriting the unique identifiers...
Help on this would be much appreciated!
Is my question not clear enough, or is it a stupid question? Really struggling to find an answer... it seems absurd that there would be no way to retain the unique identifiers other than restoring them via MTKDroid Tools... perhaps someone has written a script to retain the unique identifiers? Or moved them out of the data partition?
I'm new to this forum so i don't know wether i'm posting this in the right sub but i need help with restoring my phone's data. I stupidly used wondershare's "dr fone" to backup all my data on the computer which created a 15.9 gb .bak file. Problem is i didn't know that in order to restore this to your phone you had to have a subscription, before i wiped my phone. Now i am left with the aforementioned .bak file and i would like to know if there are any free pc applications that can restore all my data to the phone using this file. Thanks in advance.

Hi, thanks for replying. I just took a look. I tried a few other apps from google play since appbak was no longer on there, unfortunately none of them were able to use the file (I copied the .bak file from my pc to my phone's internal storage). I then found an old version of appbak through chrome and installed it but it also couldn't use the .bak file to restore my data. Eventually I tried restoring it through my phone's settings like a couple of people recommended but the only backup setting I could find was "Backup by Google One" (because my phone runs on Android One, which is focused on Google Services) and I could not use a local file to start restoring. At this point I might just try to restore my data manually but any further help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
