Hard Bricked But Vibrates - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I need help!
My phone has been hard bricked for awhile now but i'm not giving up on it. Recently it started vibrating every 2 seconds for about 5 minutes then it would stop. Also the screen flashes a white line across it.
I made a 350mb image yesterday just to see if the 195mb image was too small and it made the phone vibrate more and for longer this time so i know i'm very close to something here.Somebody please let me know what i'm doing wrong

I assume you have a sprint note 3, so if you do and you where running NC5 4.4.2 this may help. First go this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625332 read through the threads posted there. Especially this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600869 That should give you a basic idea of the steps you need to take. Then you will be asked to create a boot img for your Sprint N900P, here is link to an img that is already done for the N900P http://www.mediafire.com/download/l6q1152x5c9d4h6/N900PUnbrick_IMG Basically you will have to copy and paste a boot img to a formatted/erased ext sd card, via a USB cable from you device to a PC ( provided your PC will recognize the USB cable when connected to your device). Or you can use an adapter to get the sd card hooked up to your PC. Enjoy !!!

Thanks but I got that whole down already.
My issue is that none of the images work or there is just something more to this.At first my pc recognized my phone when i plugged it in (qualcomm hs-usb) but now it's not showing up anymore.
The phone just sits there and vibrates all with the white line like it wants to boot but something is stopping it.
Jtag is my last option as i wanna try and fix it myself.

Oh and i forgot to mention that i had made a mistake and restored my galaxy s4 efs backup. The phone never booted up after that

The weird thing now is that the phone is charging the battery. But it's just constantly vibrating
Somebody please help me

Have you tried a battery pull then put it back in and try the 3 button Recovery combo? Atleast you have some life in the device so its not hard bricked.

I've tried everything. If it was soft bricked at least I would get into download mode. But that's all the phone does is vibrate.I just feel like I'm missing something.
It won't get recognised by my PC unless the memory card is out and that's weird. It takes about 5 minutes to pop up in device manager as Qualcomm hs-usb 9008(idk) and as soon as I try the button combo it disappears

You may have a bad sdcard. I see posts about corrupt sdcards maybe a new card? You have a class 10 card? I have a few debrick tools if youd like them. But ive seen youve already tried that. I feel your pain man I have a brand new hard bricked s4 in my phone graveyard.

Ok bud here we go, I run a Sprint Note 3 4.4.2 NC5 stock rooted CWM recovery. I downloaded the bootloader backup zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367 it created a debrick zip, then I extracted it, and it is a 128mb debrick.img file just like the thread states it should be here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/c396cy9uxyg7mck/debrick.img you will need to also download an IMG burner program to your PC. Here is the link http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/files/latest/download burn the img file to a completely blank/erased ext sd card from your windows PC. Then remove your battery install sd card, install battery and power up device.
A couple things I found, one the sd card size has to mirror the memory size of the device, i.e. 16gb device needs a 16gb sd card. Two the sd card when flashed with the Debrick img file has to formatted as unblocked, and may have to be retitled to be recognized.
Next I tried the Unbrick Creater zip the link is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2651696 and the file it created is here http://www.mediafire.com/download/l290jcibb29q4r0/Unbrick_IMG.gz not sure what to do with it, but it is from my working device. Let me know if any of this works !!!

Ok I will keep reading the threads. Have you tried with the 128gb img file on the ext sd card to start the device in download mode ( all three buttons) as opposed to just pushing the power button ? Red that somewhere. I pick up bits and pieces here and there, sooner or later maybe we will find the missing part.
Have you tried to use a USB jig to boot into download mode ? You can you buy them on ebay for $10 or here is video on how to make one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKRrTZayRxU or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rdn5GoRjhn0 it is a different device but the concept is the same.

I was thinking of buying one the other day. Maybe just maybe one a button is not working. I'll order the jig tonight. Or make one this weekend
Later I'm going to swap motherboards and see if it's a button that's causing my problems.
Bless you bro and thank you for all your help

Phone will not flash, please help!

Please fogive me for the noobish question. I've read several threads and followed all the steps in the wiki andam still having problems.
My 6800 locked up so I hit the reset button. The phone quickly flashed "No image file!" and then went to the red-green-blue screen.
As per the wiki, I downloaded the appropriate ROM image and proceeded to follow the directions. Unfortuately, when I attach the phone to the USB port, Windows reports it as an "unknown device". I ran titan_excitbl.exe and I get an error that is can not open the USB port.
My finace has the same phone and her phone is recognized by my computer just fine.
So I decided to try the micro SD method. My laptop does not have a micro SD reader so I used her phone (attached to my laptop) to copy/rename the .nbh file to the mico SD card. (I am hoping that the factory format of the card is already FAT32). I put the card in my phone, hit POWER-CAMERA-RESET and still the same... "No image found!" and then the tr-bar screen.
The screen reads (in the red bar):
TITA100
SPL-1.04.0000
and reads (in the white bar):
Serial (will change to USB when I plug the USB cable in)
Also, then connected to power, the power/chargin light does not come on and pressing/holding the power button does nothing.
HELP! PLEASE!
Thanks!
Joe
Don't assume it has the right format. Make sure it is not a high density card as well and less than or equal to 2gig and format it per the wiki and then put the NBH file back on there. I would check to see if that phone will work with any USB on other computers. It might be a hardware problem.
the device won't recognise on any of my three pc's. as for the card, it's the factory 512mb that came with the phone. still trying to get my hands on a micro sd reader.
htc seems to think it's a hw problem but i'm hoping someone here is familiar with the issue and has some additional insight.

Again, forgive my ignorance as I am an IT guy, but when it comes to phones, I'm a total newb. I extracted the .nbh file from 3.56.651.0 - (Radio 3.42.02) that was found linked on the wiki for flashing to the factory Sprint ROM.
Given the info I listed in my orginal post, if this was the wrong file to use, PLEASE let me know.
I picked up a micro SD adapter tonight found out that the factory installed card is formatted as FAT. So I reformatted it as FAT32, copied/renamed the image file once again and WHALAH! It loaded the image and re-flashed the ROM.
Now the new problem...
It still only boots to the tri-bar screen but now is says:
TITA100
SPL-2.07.000
CPLD-9
Ok, so obviously something new took as the information is now different. But what am I missing?
Thanks!... again!
Joe
*** UPDATE ***
Ok, I flashed it once more and this time it boots and appears to be working! It took FORVER to get past the Windows Moble 6.1 splash screen but so far so good.
Thank you!!
sounds like your bootloader is whacked, but with the USB not working it might be hard to get a good one on there. I would recommend nueSPL-2.47 but I am not sure if there is a NBH file to do it from the SD card or not. You might want to search around and update the bootloader. Also make sure that you take the SD card out once it has updated the phone and it resets. I think it is take it back and get another phone time.
I added an update to my post above... I got it working. For whatever reason (I'm sure there is one, I just don't know what it is, lol) I had to run the flash twice. After the second time, it booted right up
Now being an IT geek, all this "cooking" stuff has perked my curiosity. I'm going to try to flash this thing with one of the custom ROMs that seem to be pretty popular

[Q] Soft bricked my friends vibrant:(

I apologize in advanced.
A friend handed me her vibrant and asked me to flash it so she could have the wi-fi hot spot ability.
I rooted it, then foolishly put one of the ROM's and now the phone is soft bricked... meaning I can get into recovery mode with the volume keys and power, but that's it.
I've tried to install a different rom from the external sdcard through recovery and it failed. (That is the only way I can get access a new update.zip file on the phone)
Can someone tell me exactly what to do to get a froyo rom on this phone working? I'd really really appreciate it.
P.S. I am on a mac, so I'm really looking for a solution that requires installing something from the external sd card. Is that even possible?

Well you can go back to stock with Odin and try again...but since you're on a Mac....i think the Odin alternate is called Heimdall or something
EDIT: Found it....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=834195
I'm sure it works just like Odin.....get the files needed to go back to stock here

this is good loool when can we expect to see i bricked my moms friend friends moms her sons phone
I'm glad someone is getting a kick out of this. I just downloaded Heimdall. I need to reboot and see if this can fix the problem. More to come...
I have to download something called qt which is a gig. Sucking internet from my epic at work... not going to happen today.
Note to self: NO MORE FLASHING FOR FRIENDS.

Thats weird... I dont even think Odin is more then 1MB, find it hard to believe that the Mac's alternate is so big. If you can find any windows machine it would be very easy to direct you on how to get her phone back up and running.
QT, which seems to be an environment like Java, is nearly a gig, and is necessary to run Heimdall on my mac.
The instructions for Odin says...
1. Open Odin3_v1.0
2. Load .512 into the PIT placeholder
(In this case s1_odin_20100512)
3. Load *FILE.tar* into PDA placeholder
(In this case Eugene_2E_JK2_Froyo.tar.md5)
4. Make sure COM port has a number in it
This means your phone is connected, if your phone is not connected make sure you have the correct drivers)
5. Press Start!

Using the image I've attached of Heimdall, which PDA/Code should I load the .md5 file under?
Thank you Odin, thank you Samsung USB drivers (which I had to google to find) and thank you mom's PC. I got my friend's phone working, unfortunately all her contacts were on the phone and not synced to google, and I didn't back her up. Whoops. Why would T-mobile transfer numbers from a black berry to an Android phone and not have it sync with google?
Heimdall was a waste of time and memory. I'm sure the developers worked very hard on it, but it totally didn't work for my mac book pro complicating a tense situation.
Problem solved.

Bricked i5500 after installing Rom Manager

Hey guys. So, I bricked my phone. I installed RomManager, then ClockworkMode through it, thus I knew that this phone is not supported. It wasn't there in that list, so I chose Commtiva z71 or something like that. My phone doesn't get in download mode anymore. Could this be fixed at home? I really don't want to take it to a service centre.
Please help me. Thanks!
There's a few people who have done this and I don't think any of them have been able to find a way to get it working again. I think you will have to send it to repairs, sorry

no need to pull battery out and insert it back just insert the battery ,hold down the option key & insert usb cable thats it....but none of these gonna work you will need JTag to flash
You can even try JIG. Because, you've messed with recovery and boot partition but not the arm11boot (bml8). So, JIG (search Google, it is as cheap as $2 and you can even make one at home) can help you.
If it didn't, just search for JTAG services nearby your area. They'll charge you $20-$40 and your g5'll be alive.

That's not true, sadly. ROM Manager embeds a version of flash_image that will try to flash a boot image to bml8 if the device is not properly recognised. That's what happened for the OP, so a JIG will not resurrect the phone.
Oh...Sorry, I didn't knew that! So, final option left for OP is a JTAG flash.

Need help unbricking SM-G900V

So in my attempt to flash a custom lollipop rom,I accidently flashed the one for SM-G900A. Now my device doesn't boot at all. When connected to my PC,it shows up with the QHSUSB_BULK driver. From my understanding from what I've researched,I should be able to unbrick it by flashing a debricking image to a micro sd card, but I couldn't find one for this phone. Can someone with a working device possibly make a debrick image for me?

I just tried that but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I renamed the file to .img, flashed using win32diskimager,put it in the phone, help volume down + home + power but nothing is happening.
Its possible that the battery could be dead since it was low last I checked and it doesn't appear to be charging anymore since the brick. Not entirely sure if that has anything to do with this but I'm pretty desperate. I'll try borrowing a battery from another s5 tomorrow.
Does the sd card size matter? I used an 8gb one when I tried but I've seen a few post saying it has to be 16gb.
Maybe. Those kinds of things can be really specific. I haven't had to do that kind of thing personally, have just read in to it.
Well I was planning on buying a new micro sd card anyway,so I just ordered a 64gb samsung micro sd on amazon. I got one day shipping on it so I'll update the results tomorrow.
Still nothing. Flashed the img to the sd card, put it in the phone, held Vol Down + Home + Power, nothing. Also tried Vol Up and even tried a USB jig, nothing is happening. Anything else I can do or will I have to buy a new phone? Also is it possible that the img is somehow incompatible because of kernels or bootloader versions?
Is there any company I could send this to to jtag it? It sounds like that might be my only option at this point.

Vontar X3 bricked. Can't update via SD card. Please help.

Hi.
Yesterday I've recived my ordered Vontar. I was not a fan of the system so i changed it via sd card. I've done it a couple of times with different ones but it something strange happened. Now, when i turn on this device with a 'reset' button and a sd card in it, it won't show 'updating' screen. In fact, I can't even go to 'apply update from ext' - the 7z file won't show under this option. But, I can install TWRP from Slimbox therad and wipe all. Also i tried to 'install' img file via TWRP but in the end it show 'System not installed'. I checked all the comments in this section but i found no answers. I think that's the only place for me to receive help because i was searching the web for 5 hours and now i'm out of ideas. I'm using custom roms on my phone since 2015 but this tv boxes are new to me.
Please help me.

This usually indicate that either the bootloader is not compatible, The DTB dosnt have the right gpio pins assigned to the reset button making it non functional among other reasons, i Strongly advise against using an SD card to try new firmwares as you can end up in a situation like this where your box is semi broken with no way to get out of it, you should buy/obtain a USB A Male to USB A Male Cable & Use USB Burning Tool As This Is How to Recover From a Bad Flash & Not 100% Compatible Firmwares and even recover a "Bricked Box" that looks like it wont even power on (no LED or output to TV), Been Using This Method For Years And Havent Bricked A Box Beyond Repair Yet

Thanks for an advice. Yesterday i was very scared because of this situation. I thought that i wasted about 50$ but now i'm more chilled. Somewhere i've read that Vontar is basically the same as for example as HK1 but installing it's OS was not a great idea (I've done similar things on my Huawei G620s with the similar phone OS). I will try the USB method and reply the result. My ordered cable will be in a few days. Again, thanks for a reply. This thread could be useful if someone will have the same problem like me.
