[Q] Editing disassembled .apk issue - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all!
After having disassembled an apk and edited it to just the way i want i discovered a detail that has me pulling my hair out and i cant seem to find the solution myself (semi-n00b).
Among other things, I changed the look, feel and text of a static ad-banner (non google) on the bottom of the screen. However, the link that that banner opens when touched is nowhere to be found for editing. I went through i dont know how many files in hope of finding it but nope. I cant locate any type of AdListener file so i need your help.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here? It would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

I am asking to move your thread to the right area so that the right experts may be of help.

[Q] Request for tutorial on editing and compiling 9 patch images

All,
I am looking for a decent tutorial on how to use the draw9 patch program and then how to compile the image files with eclipse when I am done editing them. I have been looking all day and have found some information on the draw9 patch one pixel frame. I kind of understand it, but none of them really tell you where to place the pixels to set up the areas for stretching. The left and top are for setting up the areas that can/can't be stretched, but nothing explains how the pixels make that happen.
I have installed eclipse and the sdk, but once I get the images figured out, I have to compile them before they can be used. I need a good tutorial on how to set them up in eclipse, what steps I need to go through, so I can compile them.
I'm really trying to delve in an be part of the theming community, but I need some help here getting started.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Doug
What a coincidence. I've spent most of today learning and attempting the same thing, and ran across this thread while searching and it finally clicked. Hope it helps to understand.

[Q]Can someone help me get set up for theming

Hello. I recently got into making themes a little bit, and wanted to begin making them myself, I was wondering if someone could point me to a guide or shoot me some advice about a few things: first, obviously, the programs I would need and how to set them up. A good place to learn about theming sold, and how to sign them if need be. Also if anyone out there has any information on boot animations, specifically regarding limitations (ie length, fps, amount of jpg files). I'm looking for information on modifying status bar icons and notification icons. I have found that the programs/files I use now are very disorganized and sometimes hard to find. I was hoping another themer out there could help me organize, maybe send screens of how your files are setup. If it matters I was hoping to start device specific (HTC ReZound) for now and once I got the hang of things move in up. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated, Ive gotten my feet wet but I'm still a noob. Thanks in advance

Where to submit an apk request?

I've searched for a bit and couldn't find it. If someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction and I can delete this post.
If it's the right spot, then I was wondering is there is or will be an apk file that uses if and else functionality with recordinga and possibly click on images and start another line of programmed steps. Kind of like vtask Studios for PC

Modding an APK?

Hi guys! :victory:
I'm new around here, nice to meet you all. This is my first post and I wasn't exactly sure where to ask this so feel free to point me in the right direction if you have a better place.
I'm sure this question has been asked time and time again, so I understand if this comes off as annoying or redundant, but I need some serious help here.
I'd like to start off by saying that I have no knowledge of Android development further than installing ROMs and working with Xposed framework, so please bear with me here.
I need to disguise an app. I have an APK file, and I would like to change the name and the icon, and if possible, somehow lock it. I tried using Hide it Pro, but it refused to actually lock the app. I need this done ASAP, and I'm willing to do all the research and work on my own, I just need pointed in the right direction. I made it so far as changing the icon and name using an APK editor, however I could not log into the app afterwards, and the icon changed itself back to the original.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Quick edit here: This APK isn't for me, it is for my boyfriend, so I would need to test it and send it to him, and see if it works on his side.

Need To Employ Dev to fix apk bug (Please Help!)

Hi
I'm hoping I am posting in the right place.
I have an apk game for my little boy. It has a bug that needs fixing. The company behind it no longer exists.
It's a simple hidden object game and 9 out of 10 levels work, so I would hope comparing them would show what's different about the level that hangs.
Is it possible to employ an apk expert to have a look at the apk to fix the fault so my boy could have the game fixed please?
Please let me know how to go about it thanks.

Click to collapse
Just to add to avoid confusion, I am expecting to pay for the services employed.
Also, all the artwork and such is within the apk, the stuck level just hangs as it is supposed to open, so I think it should just be a bit of code line wrong or something as all the components are there, so I dont expect this is a mammoth issue, but I need somebody who knows apk coding to be able to do it please. I have the apk available for emailing.
Please help
PLease, havent had anything yet. Can anyone help, or do you know another place I could go for this type of help please?
Thanks
Alex
