Hey has anyone had any issues with transferring apps from the Gear 2 to the Gear S. I switched over to the Gear S but I can not install my current apps to the S. I assumed that the apps may not work do to formatting. But I have been able to install many other apps that were designed for the Gear 2. There is no option to uninstall the apps from my Gear manager app so I can install them again on my Gear S. I have tried deleting user data and clearing the cache. But no success. Any ideas?

Connect to ur gear 2 and uninstall apps, DISCONNECT. Connect to your gear s, it will now let you install them.
Thanks, I thought about that why I was at work today. I am about to give it a try. So simple, silly me.

I was having issues updating some apps within the Gear Apps Store, the error message "Gear app not installed connection to device is lost" even though there was a working Bluetooth connection and everything was functioning normally.
I tried:
Rebooting both the watch and the phone
Checking and trying various comms settings
Deleting cache and data for the Gear App Store
Re-installing the Gear App Store itself
After a lot of head scratching I was resigning myself to perform a factory reset of the Gear S.
I got it to work by simply uninstalling the app that needed the update, (in my case it was one of the clocks) and then re-installing it. All now working as it should!
The error message is completely misleading and it will get you believing it's a connection issue which it clearly isn't.
I thought I would share this with you in case you came across this problem.

Cannot find the apps

I have the same issue, but cannot find the apps to uninstall. I have about 6 apps that are "stuck". I can get some to update, but then they show up again as needing updating.

The reappearing updates is a common problem and I haven't been able to solve that one (though it hasn't happened in a while) but it's strange you cannot find the offending apps to uninstall. I assume you are using the same watch model, as not all apps and clocks work with all Gear models and you are in the Gear app store not the Samsung app store? Also check for the app in "your purchases" section as again not all apps will show in the store but purchased ones (including the free ones you installed there) will show in your purchased section.
The only other thing you can try is a factory reset of the watch and install all your purchases from scratch.
Hey Guys
I changed my phone from Note 3 to Note 4 latly - and restored some of my apps via Titatnium- also some gear stuff.
Now i have the odd problem- that i cannot install some apps on my gear s because the gear manager states them as allready installed- but they are not on my gear !!
I guess i have restored some system files or something that makes my gear s think that this apps are allready installed- but if i go in gear manager under settings-installed apps. They are not there- so i cannot uninstall them- so im in a kind of a trap.
Can you guys help to sort that out ?
Thank you
I have same problem but with 2 Gear on my Phone. I have first the Gear 2, I installed many app. After I paired a Gear S with the phone/Manager. When I want to install an app wich is on Gear 2 the store say is yet installed. If I want install on Gear S I must connect my Gear 2 and uninstall the app.
So if you have not 2 Gear try to uninstall the Gear Manager and reinit your Gear ?
Great ! No i don´t have 2 Gears- i will try your solution and hope it works
Unforunatly it didn´t it still says wearable widgets is installed . Strangly Gear Navigator not anymore- but it offers me to buy it again- even tough i allready have bought it. Very strange.
I have an unlocked Gear S and it paired to my Note 4 flawlessly. The issue I am having is that when I click the link for Samsung Gear Apps (from the Gear Manager) it take me to Galaxy Essentials not Gear Essentials. When I search Gear apps nothing pops up. I can't find a way to get any additional apps. Help!
Have you tried reinstalling the Galaxy appstore?

Thanks for the reply. I tried that with no luck. The interesting part is that I paired the watch with my wife's S5 and it went straight to the gear app store (from the gear manager) with no issues. I am not sure what to do now.
After a very frustrating day trying everything I can think of and 4 Samsung techs (who couldn't figure it out either) I did what everyone hates to do....a factory reset. But that resolved the issue.
I have a Gear S SM-R750A and when I try to install apps from the Gear Manager App Store they stick on Installing. I can use the Galaxy App Store to download normal apps to my Note 4 without issues just not to the Gear S. I am currently running Software Version R750AUCU1AOB1 and running 5.1.1 on the Note 4. Please let me know if anyone has found a fix to this issue. I have tried resetting my Gear S and reinstalling the Gear Manager as well.
I'm running stock rom on note 4 and I have this happen from time to time as well. Haven't found a fix other than canceling the installation and waiting a while to try again.

I have the same issue with my stock Note 3 and Gear s. Sammy has been no help. I have reset my phone and watch but that didn't help. I stay stuck on installing. Canceling doesn't help. Frustrated as hell. I won't buy another Gear x until they fix this. Don't get me started talking about Tizen. Not a fan.
Hi this happened to me. I did a restart of the phone and gear s and that fixed the problem.
I've tried restarting and reinstalling my watch to my phone several times. No luck. I am running stock everything with the most current firmware updates. No luck. Not rooted. My watch worked before I reset my phone using Kies and that's when everything stopped working. I can't even run opera mini. My watch gets stuck on installing. The phone says it downloads then goes to installing. ..forever. When Igo to my app manager, the apps I installed are not there. Btw, I have a note 3 along with my gear s.
Fixed
I finally fixed this problem. I did a total reset of my phone TMO Note 3 and my Gear S. I backed up my files on my computer, not using Kies. Reboot and reinstall all my apps, check for problems after every 3 apps. Works. I'd like to send a shot out to Samsung for their assistance. However, anything I shouted would need to be edited for expletives. Uncle Sammy was no help. Tizen still sucks. The app store is crap.... unless you want a watch face.
Reposting this in a separate new thread after also posting in the sticky tutorial for others searching on google how to get the Pixel to work with the Gear S.
"I have a Pixel XL and tried to use the above steps to connect my Gear S to the phone.
When I try to install "Samsung Gear_com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager_2.2.14100299_2114100299" the phone says it is corrupt and cannot be installed.
When the gear manager is launched, it cannot find the watch at all. But using the regular bluetooth connection method from androids bluetooth settings does allow me to connect it to the phone. But manager still does not detect/activate the watch...
Please help! I have gotten way too used to the watch to get along without it..."
I was able to download and install gear manager from play store without any issues. Still doesn't connect to my gear s though. Says it can't find, even when I reset the watch. I need help to. Don't want to return my pixel, but love my gear s

The Gear Manager which you downloaded from Play Store does not connect to Gear S. It only works with Gear S2. This has been confirmed by Samsung that Gear S can only connect to a Samsung phone. Currently I'm using a spare Galaxy Note 3 to synchronise with Gear S for S Health tracking.

Tested on my xperia Z5C and not see also works with my Fit2. So we must wait for an update ....
I am going through the same issue, and after spending eternity with high level techs on the phone and in person at a Samsung store, I found that the answer lies in the Gear S. The last firmware update for the watch was early this year, and the watch itself cannot communicate with Nougat. Even though Gear Manager will communicate with Nougat. Right now we are at the mercy of Samsung to update the Firmware for a 3 year old device, that has been replaced by 2 generations...
