Hey everyone,
I decided to update my phone via PC companion a little while back to the .167 update. It flashed fine and boots fine. But since I lost root I wanted to revert back to the .314 generic UK firmware. I've flashed it numerous times but it doesn't work and nor does the older .402! They both bootloop at the Sony blue wavey thing after the XPERIA logo goes and then restarts again! Can someone give me a quick guide on how to get out of the bootloop and revert the firmware?? Could it be the firmware I flashed was corrupt? I tried a different FTF file (German Generic .314) and that bootloops as well.
Try with a factory reset after firs boot

Hi there!
Do you have flashed GB Kernel fitting your GB Rom of the Backup you have restored?? You need the fitting kernel.
Download Fastboot oder Flashtool, get the kernel img an flash it to your phone.
Bye an good luck!
What ROM do you have installed then currently?
Install the proper kernel also according to this.
Full stock .ftf firmware files should also include kernel.
yea the firmware's iv been flashing have the kernel in them. I think i damaged the bootloader coz al the flashing was succesfull but the ray just wunt boot into android so damaged bootloader. Anyway i gave up and its in for repair lol.
Hi,
before I have upgraded my firmware to CM10, I created an Nandroid-Backup with Stock 2.3.3 and CWM5.
Now after playing around with CM10, I have decieded to switch back to the old Stock 2.3.3 Android. I downgraded everything with the Sony Update Service, installed the CWM5 Recovery and after this, I restored my previous important Backup!
But after restoring my files, the boot stucks at the Sony Ericsson Logo (Before the blue LED).
What is wrong with my backup? I need my old data unfortunately very soon.
I really hope, that my problem can be solved in time!
Use flash tool

Well, Obviously your phones bricked. Theirs quite a few ways to un-brick your phone. If you are trying to go completely stock to be able to send it back to the manufacturer then Flash a base stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread rom. Go to this thread, It should help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1742533

i think you messed up the kernels or your backup is corrupted
try to flash stock 2.3.3 rom using flashtool
get stock here

I had my Tablet Z Wifi (SGP311) on Cyanogenmod 10.2 and decided to go back to stock.
I downloaded the Sony update service tool to reset it but it only showed that I'm running the latest update but didn't give me the option to factory reset it.
Then I tried reflashing my FTF file of 4.2.2, but the flashing tool got stuck at "reading device informations"
It doesn't work with locked/unlocked bootloader either way...
edit: fixed the problem. It was the driver.
I was using the phone with no problems. This morning I had a notification and I tried to open it, the phone was not responding, so I tried forced reset. When the rebooted it stuck on the logo.
I was using stock rom and I have never tried to install another.
How can I restore the phone?
The Android was 4.3.something ( I think). The latest OTA update.
Boot to recovery and factory reset, if that doesn't work then flash the latest stock firmware for your country with Odin.
The other day I factory reset my Z5C, flashed a generic, stock ftf with flashtool and then later realised that I might need root to pull some backups out from a TWRP backup.
I found a SuperSU zip, forced TWRP boot from fastboot, then installed the SuperSU zip.
Now it's stuck on the white SONY screen and I can't get back in to recovery, but I can get in to fastboot.
Is it bricked?
Only later did I remember that the original root method was completely different.
Please help, I'm so worried that I've stuffed it.
I'm attempting to flash the same generic ftf using Flashtool again without wiping anything. Fingers crossed it flashes and hopefully I've only lost out on some sleep.
Not bricked.

just flash boot and system and untick everything else, that should solve your problem
