[Q] App to view phone screen? - Samsung Gear S

Is there an app to the Gear S to allow you to view your phone screen on the watch, and hopefully even interact with it? I know they have remote camera viewers, so why not the whole screen? Thanks

Lol no. Almost impossible to achieve

Why do you want to see your phone on that little bitty screen?

[Q] cant capture screen shot with the palm method on sgs3

hi i have selected the option to take a screen shot from my settings by swiping my palm but it wont capture a screen shot does any one know what i am doing wrong or can help me?
It takes a bit of practice and doesn't always work for me.
Put your palm perpendicular to the screen with your pinkie touching the edge of the left wide side of the screen and slowly slide your hand across. Try it a few times and it'll probably work. If not there's always home + power.

Hi,
it took me also some time to get it. But you have to slightly touch the screen and then go from one side to the other.
Here is a short description and 2 videos of both methods (palm and home/power button):

it dose not want to work for no reason bro.
If you really need to get it done and got adb on your computer you can use this command: /sbin/screenshot /sdcard/pictures/sgs3screenshot.png
Its more of a karate chop, right to left than a palm
It works well for me. Make sure it is enabled in your settings first of all.
The way it works is not by touching the edges of the screen when swiping, it's just by swiping your palm on the screen. It will detect a large mass moving across the screen and capture the image.
Make sure you swipe horizontally in accordance with the device's orientation.

[Q] Couple of questions

Hey everyone
Have my white s3 about a week and have one or two questions.
My first one is in the camera app I turn the phone on its side and is it just me or do I loose nearly a half inch either side of my screen with black borders?
But if you switch to video it widens to the full phone screen..
Also is it just my phone or has anyone noticed that the back button doesn't close apps?? It will go back to the home screen but doesn't close the app.
I haven't rooted... Should I??
Thanks
if you go in to setting scroll to bottom and go in developer options there is a highlighted section there to end all processes so none run in the back ground. as for rooting i have cos i like to mess with things its entirely up to you once rooted warranty is void so i know some are waiting just incase
I do not believe you lose actual picture width, even if the viewfinder is shrunken.
Why do you want programs to get closed? They reload faster when they stay in the RAM, and the browser, for example, remembers what page you were on.
Android is decent at clearing RAM when needed (except when its the homescreen), but you can get Advanced Task Killer from Play Store if you want to manualy close programs. But this will ofter use more battery because loading a program from scratch uses more CPU than fetching the same program from the RAM.
Also if you must use a task killer (you don't have to), make sure it is not automatically closing things.
Thanks for the replys.. It's just something that I noticed on the s3
I thought my galaxy nexus **** them down when pressing back.
The pictures are my main concern.
When I view them in the gallery I have black border on the left and right, I'm not geting full screen.. Has anyone noticed this?
Yeah, I got that too. Maybe its a mismatch between the resolution of the pictures and that of the S3. The camera resolution can be changed, and you can zoom in on your pictures with pinch. Full screening all pictures would lead to distorted pictures.
Its just weird I feel like it wasnt like that when i first got it.. I think I would of noticed. I thought I changed something in the settings.
Why is it when you switch to video it changes to the full screen and the buttons you can press are see through.
But on the camera your loosing nearly a half inch each side of your screen.
Doesn't make sense to me.

Disable Touch Screen While Video Recording?

Hello
I own a Xperia Tablet Z, let me get straight to the point...The device works perfect under water and the video recording, but every now and again the water pressure interacts with the screen and stops the video recording, this can be easily fixed if the camera app had a lock option, like a gesture or a hardware button that can be assigned to lock the screen when needed, i will be fine if there is a app for it, since I don't always need to lock the screen, when I do i can use the app. I then came across a app called Argus Touch Blocker, which works just like I want it to, the only problem is, yes it blocks the whole touch screen, but not the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen which is part of the touch screen, but for some reason is it still touchable. Can anyone point me in the correct way to get these results?

If im understanding correctly here, what you are explaining is screen burn. Unfortunately the panel this device uses has issues with it. There is another thread with users reporting screen burn here https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/help/screen-burn-t3364676
Right. Ghost buttons are shows to me, so it's like screen burn.
But sometimes this just dissappear for while.
It's possible to repair it? I mean fix without change whole LCD in phone?

Face Unlock - Stop auto unlock at detection.

My face Unlock works fine. Maybe a little too fine. I would like to actually see the lockscreen. Which I can't. Maybe I just want to have a glance at the time or notifications. I don't want my phone unlocking the moment I look at it. Maybe a neat little feature where it unlocks but still is a swipe away from going into the home screen / desktop. Right now the closest thing I can do to achieve that is hold the phone away or tilted just so that it doesn't detect my face which is weird. So help me out people. Is it just me or does anybody actually need this? Thanks.
