I would really LOVE to get my hands on a Galaxy S4 Zoom or the new Galaxy K Zoom, but unfortunately we are out of luck here in the U.S.
Would it be possible to take the radio out of one of these phones and swap it out with a radio compatible with T-Mobile?

Dear XDA friends, I'm currently in the state, and using Galaxy S for Tmobile.
However, my mom coming to the state, and she says she will bring her Galaxy S2 for me cuz she recently changed to Note. So this would be an upgrade chance for me, and I love the design of international and Asian versions better than US version.
My question is, is it going to be possible to root, and flash one of the S2 roms that are in this site??? I'm aware i won't be able to use 3G speed, but if im lucky i would get new 1900mhz 3G though in SF. The phone is already country unlocked, but the reason why I'm trying to flash new rom is one of Korean wireless company developed their own messaging system on their S2 phones so because of that i won't be able to send text and mms.
If the interantional version and Korean version is the same, then sorry for my ignorance, but if they are different, can someone please give me help?
Thanks.
hi i live in us and was wondering if the international galaxy s3 will work on att hspa+ with enhance backhaul?i just want to be sure before i buy.Att has hspa, hspa+,and hspa+ with enhanced backaul, will all 3 work on galaxy s3?

Hi.
I have been wanting to get the Galaxy for some time, and now even more after reading up on the iPhone 5 and slowly losing faith in it's domination of the market. I am currently undecided as far as what version of Samsung Galaxy S3 to buy. I have been reading that the international version is pretty pathetic due to frequency and network speed capability among a few other complaints. I am currently a Tmobile customer. Should I buy the phone from TMobile AND unlock it or should I buy the international version of this device.
Thank you all for your help.

Are you in the US? If you are in the US then the international will only get 2G speeds on TMO unless you are in one of the newly converted areas(which is unlikely because only 5 or so markets have been converted so far). And the international is HSPA+ which is what TMO is, It's not LTE so it wont be too much faster. I do think the US TMO version is 42mbps HSPA where the International is 21.
I'm on ATT and I had the choice to get either the US version with LTE and 2GB of Ram or get the international version. I chose to get the international. LTE really isnt important to me as I'm on wifi 90% of the time and HSPA+ serves me well for the 10% of the time I'm not on wifi
I will be using 4G most of the time rather than the WiFi, are you suggesting I should go with the TMobile version of this device?
Thanks.
there was a post on att forums on how to mod our baseband to get the t-mobile lte bands to pick up and work great and all but it dont work just flashing it on our verizon note 2 so i would like help from some dev on getting this working i know most of the ppl on this forum use the verizon note 2 with well verizon but i own a verizon note 2 and use it on t-mobile i have kinda got the t-mobile rom running on my verizon its a little buggy but it works but i want more than just 4G data i mean that is why i got an LTE verizon note 2 i didnt know that it was so different from the t-mobile one but i have already bought mine so now i want to get it working just like a t-mobile note 2 i know that our bootloader unlock master said not to flash a bootloader from another carrier cause then your note 2 would think it was that carriers which i would be happy with but i dont know if it would work and if it would show me please how to do this but for now i would like some help fixing this who knows maybe im not the only one that wants this and it would be a great thing for helping others
If you want T-Mobile LTE, get a T-Mobile phone. The VZW Note 2 doesn't support all of the bands used by T-Mobile, that is why it isn't working, and there is nothing you can do to change that as it is a hardware limitation.

Because AT&T uses the same LTE band as T-Mobile. VZW just started using band 4, and the Note 2 isn't one of the devices that supports it.
Hello all,
I have a Galaxy S4(SHV-E330S) that I bought from Korea and would like to see if this can be somehow converted into T-Mobile. I understand that there is a hardware limitation that does not allow me to use 4G LTE in T-Mobile. However, I was wondering if I could flash the phone with T-Mobile ROM so that I could use features like Wi-Fi calling. Does anyone know of a way to achieve this?
Thank you,
Wan
