sooo i just got this phone and i don't know much about roms and that stuff, i noticed that the phone is too quite.. i was hoping for some beginners help and i was hoping to know more good stuff to add to my phone.

...or search for Viper4Android and install that mod too. But give the one in the link a try first. It will amplify the sound somewhat...

So it seems we finally got out phones rooted.
Can someone post me a link to a good guide on rooting the phone and also recommend some good things to do once it is rooted such as a good ROM or any other tweaks such as removing bloatware or anything else that improves the phone overall?

Team Win Recovery Project
So I am trying to do this and its not working. I am in the command prompt and it just says waiting for device? Why isnt it detecting it? I do have USB debugging enabled.
I never accepted the OTA do I need to do that first?

yes usb debugging enabled and phone on charge only not disk drive
i got afew mins ill help ya thru it..
I think I know why its not working. I have to install the fast boot drivers.

yup that too..and make sure htc sync is uninstalled that can cause issues
OTA shouldnt matter by the way
TWRP is Team Win's recovery, an alternative to Clockwork Mod
Looks like alot of people have to be spoon fed instead of doing there on research and homework lol.

I know I have a lot of learning to do, and I know it helps to have step by step, instead of just jumping right in. There are a lot of people saying a lot of different ways to do things right now.
I used to come here to load roms onto my old windows phones, Evo 3d is my first android phone, things are a lot different. I feel a little over my head right now. I'll probably wait until I find a video or something to walk me through it, just to be safe.

Dont do anything you dont feel comfortable with, (mostly) always better to play it safe. But im sure we can help you out if you need some direction. Im more than willing to, and [ irishgreen ] already said he would as well. its fairly straight forward to do. anyway let me know if you have questions or need help
I just got my second Andriod phone, the HTC Inspire and I want to root it to get rid of all that AT&T nonsense and make it more customizable. I've read the Inspire is a little more complicated than say, the Samsung Captivate but I want to try it anyway. The problem is, I'm not extremely computer literate when it comes to things like this so I was wondering if anyone could shoot some reliable ROM names my way to help get me started.

Ok im not new to flashing roms- or sbfing- or any this im currently. On molton- 2.2 im really digging this rom I've been learning how to theme and am about to release one to see what people think but I've seen that nitro. Has came out with another update and would like to try it out but I've read. Were he has put out v2.02 out and I can't find it anywere. A little nudge. Would be appreciated. This fourm. Search sucks really bad and another thing I've been around these forms for awhile but I never post and if u don't have a certain amount of post u can't say anything in the dev. Form. I think that stupid. But o well any help would be appreciated

In to get us cm7 and getting the bootloadrer unlocked I would hit the thanks button but I can't find the dang thing either or I just might be blind like I said I never post just read alot and figure out my problems for my self

Hello guys i am new here so i want to know what can i achieve and do to my ace with this site. i just joined now. and please don't call me a noob or anything because i think i am one. i heard of rooting and things like that. are they safe to do. can someone suggest me a good rom. not an outdated one. stable and good battery life? thanks in advance

Rooting is just like gaining access to your system files to gain full control of your phone.
I would suggest just reading around xda for a bit before you decide to flash a different rom, people brick their ace's by not fully knowing what they're doing.

Ok, when it comes to scripting, I'll be the first to admit I have zero understanding of what I'm doing. So instead of torturing myself trying to port Cyanogenmod myself, I thought I would ask here to see if anyone has already done it. I need it ported for a Blu Studio 5.0 C e. I don't care if it is not perfect, in fact I don't expect it to be. However I am starting to despise Kitkat, and I know I love Cyanogenmod. If it turns out no one has it, a few tips on what part of my head the hair should come out of first would be greatly appreciated.
