Help with ported Cyanogenmod rom - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, when it comes to scripting, I'll be the first to admit I have zero understanding of what I'm doing. So instead of torturing myself trying to port Cyanogenmod myself, I thought I would ask here to see if anyone has already done it. I need it ported for a Blu Studio 5.0 C e. I don't care if it is not perfect, in fact I don't expect it to be. However I am starting to despise Kitkat, and I know I love Cyanogenmod. If it turns out no one has it, a few tips on what part of my head the hair should come out of first would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Sam

Hate to say this but my ROM modding days are over, well for the Raphael.
I would like to thank everyone that I have learned from and all the contributors to the forum. Thanks for all of your tools and answering my questions when I was a new at modding ROMs.
Also I would like to thank the users of my work. It is cool to develop something that so many people enjoyed.
And I would like to give a special thanks too all that made donations for the time it took me to create the modded ROMs. I did not get into this for money. When I first started I suggested to donate to XDA instead of myself in my sig. Once my phone had it's little accident I thought to change my sig to what it is currently. I was planning on changing it back to donate to XDA if I ever raised enough for a new phone.
Unfortunately I do not have enough and my phone is totally screwed now. Before I tried to repair my phone I attempted to create ROMs with the help of others testing but it took up way too much time. I managed to rig what was left of my phone together to get into a state where I could have used it for testing purposes. It has now gone competely haywired on me and will no longer run.
So thanks once again to everyone. I will still be lurking around and helping when I can.
Thank you for all your contributons. You will be missed!

Well lets see
Good luck.
Thanks for your great roms..
I always appreciated your work and you were one of the less that was able to cook without giving me the feeling the rom was crappy build. (yes, most rom cookers do create crap....)
If you ever buy a new phone, a raphael of something else, please inform us about it
I want to thank you for your efforts. I have been using your ROM for over a month now and its been great! Good luck to whatever you choose to do down the road
we hate to see you go. Our community will be losing a tremendous asset. If this is the last of you, many thanks and appreciation for all the blood sweat and tears.
If we get to see a triumphant return, then we'll see you live and fight another day.
thanks again, for all your hard work.
i figured there is someone on here that works for ATT that can hook him up.
Sorry to see you go mate, have had a couple of your OEM packages in my kitchen for a while
Always sad to see a Chef who has lost his frying pan...
Hopefully, we'll see you around here again soon.
You were the first ROM I tried, best ROM I tried. Your 5.4 build was absolutely amazing. I appreciate all your hard work, and you responded to every question that was asked, unlike some other cooks here. If you ever do come back, that would be one of the most triumphant returns I have ever seen.
Hey thanks for all the support guys. I will be back whenever I get a new phone. If it is a touch pro or whatever I will be back in the ROM modification game.
I recently went back to school and I have a tight budget so it is not so easy to drop another 400 bucks on a phone again. Maybe after my papers are done and finals I can find some extra work to get some extra cash.
I am still tweaking my 6.5 kitchen to be prepared if something comes along.
Thanks!

Just another "sorry to see you go" comment. You were super-helpful when I was using your ROM and kitchen, and a pleasure to be in touch with whenever I had a question. Here's hoping you get a new phone soon because 1) The community will miss you a lot and 2) Dude, you deserve to have a phone!
im sorry to see you go! I know personally you have been a big help for me in my endeavors. Raphael forums will miss you! Thanks for everything!

Thanks guys!
Glad to see your ROMs are doing so well!
When I am done with my last exam I will try to create some new 6.5 ROMs. Hope I can catch up to you guys
Definitely a great kitchen! I am going to try this out today. Does the batch file delete all the "useless" files to make the ROM fully stripped down? For instance, mvbarian's kitchen from Kaiser did this and it made it a "lite" version. I would like to do the same with this but I am new to the fuze/raphael. Once again, great job on your ROMs and kitchen.

[Q] Noob and wanted to ask a few questions.

Sorry guys for posting this, but I need some questions answered and there are a lot of answers. I just purchased a g tab from tigerdirect and it will be here soon. I wanted to know if I should update first or leave it as shipped before I install a rom.
I'm wanting to try out the new Gingerbread release from TJ, but Not sure of which ClockworkMod I should install. Also Is G Harmony Gingerbread the way to start, for a beginner?
Thanks again, I really appreciate all the help
I was going to follow these instructions but wasn't sure if this was the best course of action.
well since I'm new I can post it, but if you search, Gingerbread G Tablet and addictivetips, you can find it.
P.S. I'm going to video tape this, so I will post after I'm done.
Also....
Which ROM should I install? Which, in your opinion, is the most stable of all?
I guess my question is, should I install Cyanogen, TnT Lite, or GingerBread? And which version?
I don't think there is a 'right' answer, each rom has something good about it.
I'd start with TnTLite as it is the best supported and fixes a lot of issues that the stock rom comes with.
Go from there, if you're happy with TnT then use it for a while.
Start small I say, get some confidence then move to the more involved roms.
Thanks!
I really appreciate your fast response. I'm hoping that all will go well. Thanks again!

good luck. just take it slow and think about what you're doing. the device is pretty hard to totally brick so if you think you're stuck do some searching/reading/research.

[Q] Rooting question from an *almost* total noob.

Hi folks.
I came on this forum a while back to get my Bell Galaxy Note 717 returned to its former operating condition after Samsung buggered it up by putting ICS on it. I received a load of help and encouragement from some GREAT folks (who are a heck of a lot cleverer than me) and got my lovely phone back to where it was. Now, in those immortal words, "I'm back!"
At the end of the previous discussion, a couple suggested that — now I'd lost my phone-flashing virginity — I might want to try some custom ROMs and stuff like that. Whilst I very much appreciate their enthusiasm, I'm afraid that I really am just one small degree ahead of absolute noob and therefore I don't want to delve too deep into this stuff. However! I am quite interested in rooting the phone so that I can install and use Titanium Backup. So this is what I'm hunting for, please and thank you:
A copy of the ClockworkMod thing so that I can do the root.
The actual root file itself so I can install it with Odin (I believe it's called 'superuser' or something).
Any help you good folks would be willing to offer.
Just a small point, if I may; I DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT ICS or another newer Android version. I'm very happy with Gingerbread and I'm staying with it. Stat. I respectfully request that you don't try to convince me otherwise, unless you want me to believe that you're a twit. You will doubtless, in return, call me a Luddite and I will not disagree. Card-carrying, fee-paying, life-membership Luddite!!
Anyway, there we go, that's it for now. I'm looking forward to all the flashing and rooting and stuff! Yeah! Thanks in anticipation of your kind replies.
Cheers,
Sandy B.

I honestly deon't believe that anybody has taken the time to configure a 6.0 rom for this phone. I had plans to get some compiling done myself for it but hadn't got around to it yet. i hopefully will be looking into it within the next few weeks, after i port either cwm or twrp to the Phablet.
Really?
Sweet! Definitely keep me posted on that I would love to see some progress on this for sure. Being that the blu studio 7.0 II is still fairly a new device I would of thought someone would of developed something by now. I guess no one really cares because it ain't a SAMSUNG. lol

Perhaps I can help you. I have compiled android from source one before but I didn't do anything to the code, just issued "make" and waited. I really didn't explore the code. I would like to understand the different parts in an android build and understand where device specific information goes. That said, I am by no means green. I veteran of bash and vi from the "build your own kernel" Slackware era and more embarrassing relics before that. So, if you can use the help, just outline the process you follow as it would likely be the same for other devices. Flowchart it and assign squares to me. Then I could learn how it all fits together. If there is anything at all I can do to contribute, please let me know. I was considering a Blue Studio 7, but I want to learn regardless of what I might get.
Thanks
Really looking forward to this. Being that this device is starting to slow down on me extremely, I think a marshmallow update would straighten this phone out.

i looked here but could not find
http://www.blu-dev.com/
or
http://support.moulnisky.com/index.php?dir=Blu/
or
http://www.needrom.com/category/othe...d/blu-a-b-c-d/
or
http://tttony.blogspot.com.br/2014/1...s-blu.html?m=1
only other option is this
(need to register and pay-maybe for a month access and initial download limit sufficient for one device-need correct drivers and flash tools)
http://clangsm.com/ftpdemo/index.php?dir=Flashes/BLU/
similar thing happened with me recently on BLU Studio 7 LTE version (stuck on BLU Android start screen)
did factory reset did not work
ended up returning to vendor (BLU support had only factory reset as option and advised item was under warranty so told me to send it back)
have a new one now...planning to extract system and system dump (do not want similar situation again or pay a 1/3 cost for the rom zip) (not sure if possible but will try; know it can be rooted)
works great though

Any progress been made on this? I'd love to install a custom MM rom on my Blu Studio 7.0 LTE. Thanks for all you're doing!
+1 on this. I have a Studio 7 LTE in the mail and would love to be able to upgrade it somehow. I'm not quite technical enough to make a ROM but I am highly technically inclined if I can help in any way.
It says here that the studio 7 devices are getting Nougat. Anyone think there is any truth to it? I tweeted Blu and asked them if it was going to happen but haven't heard back yet. Kinda skeptical
I just received this reply from when I asked if this phone will get nougat
my blu phone
how can i update it to marshmallow!please help! thank you!
Thanks guys! This effort is greatly appreciated, and it looks like we will need to DIY a build for the Blu phones. I am in a similar bind as the rest of you. My company decided to cheap out on test devices (I pushed for the also inexpensive Nexus varieties), rather than go the normal route of using an emulator. I am a Project Manager by trade, and I have programming experience (primarily web with various PHP frameworks). My previous/current secondary test device was a rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running an international version of DU with TWRP. If we have any traction, l am happy to assist, and I love learning new things. On my agenda right now is giving myself a crash course on Android Studio and its associated MVC to start my own project in case this one loses traction.
Find it rather odd, this device is still on 5.0 and king root or kingo root can not root it. Am I missing something or is BLU bootloader just as robust as Samsung??

Rooting

Can anyone talk me through the easiest way to root my Mediapad M5 AL-09? Thanks in advance...
My ultimate goal is to remove some bloatware...especially an extremely popular video apk so I can use an ad free version.
"Search" is your friend.
Yeah, tried that before I posted. Perhaps a truer friend might point me in the right direction...

It really isn't all that difficult. Read, go slowly and if you have questions post them on that thread and people will help. I have the SHT-W09 8 inch USA wifi and have posted the required patched image for 173 and 190. Perhaps someone will have the correct patched image for the firmware version you are running. If you have not unlocked the bootloader and cannot easily do that with your current firmware that will make it more difficult, but again there is a thread for that and people are willing to help.
Good luck.
