I have a LY-F1 tablet... Accidentally, I formatted /system partition with CWM Recovery. Now, I can't enter CWM Recovery (I tried with volume + and power button), I don't have fastboot mode and if I try to enter bootloader mode with adb, my tablet is going to normal mode... Adb shell isn't going to work because it said "No such file or directory (system/bin/sh)". I tried a lot of things. Finally, I think the single solution is to make a bootable SD Card with CWM Recovery for LY-F1 tablet. If someone can make one CWM for LY-F1 or make this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1802268) to be bootable or something... I will be grateful. Sorry for my english... Thanks in advance.
How will CWM recovery work without recovery? ,what u should do is try to reboot into fastboot mode using:
adb reboot fastboot
Or you can try flashing the phone through a mobile technician.

I have been given an old tablet N900X Allwinner A13 tablet.
I have been trying to enter recovery mode so I can install custom recovery and flash JB as at the moment it is running 4.04 ICS but I am not having much luck. So far I have tried
Power off then vol + and power
Power off then vol - and power
reboot recovery option via rashr
reboot recovery via terminal emulator command
Quick boot app
Nothing happens on the first two and the the other three just reboot the device.
I can only assume that this tablet does not have a recovery installed. I have downloaded the CWM from the XDA thread for the A13 devices and I have checked the partition size NANDJ and downloaded the correct CWM. The problem I have is that I have no idea how I can flash recover without a recovery installed? I am not familiar with terminal commands. However, I am sure there must be a way to flash the IMG through the emulator but I don't how to? ie commands to locate directory of IMG and SH files from recovery zip.
I have tried to install the unzipped recovery IMG through RASHR but nothing happens except the tablet reboots Could anyone offer some help? I feel exhausted looking for the solution. I must have read thousands of posts through XDA looking for the answer.
HOW DO I INSTALL CWM WITHOUT RECOVERY PLEASE?
Please put me out of my misery
Hi, I'm trying to install a recovery for my xperia u (st25i) and a custom room (cm-12.1-20150704-UNOFFICIAL-kumquat).
I'm a bit confused... is the kernel included inside the room or do I have to look for one with the cwm included. And how can I flash it using fastboot. I already have the room ready to install but since I don't have any recovery installed (I keep trying volume + or - while powering on and nothing...).
I supose the command is: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Not sure about how to flash the room.
I found this but it seems the link it's down...
I would appreciate a link to the CWM recovery and the commands to flash it and also the custom room.
Thanks!

Thanks for your answer. I was able to flash an old version of the CWM recovery, but I think I just fukd up... By mistake I zeroed the userdata/sdcard partition (using diskpart clean all), since then I cannot mount it in the CWM recovery: it always says "Can't mount /sdcard/", everywhere, trying to partition it, trying to factory reset... any option will give me that error. I already tried giving it format, fat, fat32, extfat... none works.
I tried some fastboot commands like erase userdata and so, and now I can't even mount the /data/ partition that I was able to mount.
But I'll try flashing it using the flashtool as you say.
Edit: Fixed! It seems the recovery from that kernel repaired the partitions and I was able to install the zip from there. Thanks!

My Phone's Touchscreen Stopped Working, so for (nandroid) backup reasons I'd like to go into CWM Recovery as TWRP is not able to use Volume and Power buttons for navigation and from what i understood CWM can.
XZDualRecovery installed, but I cannot access NDRUtils to change default recovery as my touchscreen died.
Can I, eg. via ADB, change my primary recovery, so Vol+Down on boot (on Xperia Z3C) will give me CWM Recovery?
thanks and regards Eddict

Use adb to go to bootloader: "adb reboot bootloader"
Then flash the cwm recovery via fastboot: "fastboot flash recovery.img"
hit thanks if i helped you!
Hello together,
I currently want to install a custom recovery twrp for lineage os.
I come to Download mode. But I can't reboot to recovery because the volume up button is not Working any more.
When I reboot in normak mode and from there to recovery mode using adb reboot recovery then the custom recovery is overwritten.
As I read this is a "feature" in the Samsung Software that recovery id overwritten with stock recovery during normal boot.
So the question is: can i boot from download mode to recovery with software. In odin mode i can't connect using adb. As there is no fastboot for Samsung devices I can't connect using a command line adb. So any chance to do it with defect volume up button?
Thanks for any ideas in advance.
Have you root access? I don't think, but if you have you can use "flashify" to flash twrp.img in recovery partition and then use "Reboot to recovery" to boot twrp. You find both in play store.
Edit: you can flash a old 4.1 firmware and use this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238 to have SuperSU and cwm, then in cwm you can flash twrp in zip file
Tapastalking
Thanks
Hi thanks for the idea. This was the other option but needs root. I thought there is an easy solution with something like adb in odin mode. In fastboot I could do that.... so I thoguht there might be a pendant with Samsung smartphones.
You need root to change the recovery.
Beamed in by telepathy.
It worked but Encryption failed and after the password lineageos hangs.
Is there any possibility to boot into Recovery from odin / download mode using adb or anything other.
With a jig i will come to download mode.
OK here is my problem I have a rooted Huawei y7 Prime 2018 (LDN-L21).
I made a backup in TWRP 3.2.1.0 and when i rebooted it brought me into a TWRP recovery Bootloop.
I cant go into erecovery or fastboot mode.
And my computer doesnt even reconigse the phone so cant even to adb commands.
I try to put my backup back and it doesnt seem to see the files.
I downloaded a the right stock rom and certain .img files and tried to flash them and get a error unable to mount /system /data /cache and so on so on.
So this is my siituation is::
Stuck in twrp bootloop.
Cant ercovery or fastboot.
Computer wont reconize the phone no more.(so no adb commands).
Cant flash anything due to the mounting error in twrp.
Please help me i I think my os is fine I think.
Im willing to try anything at this point.
PLEASE HELP ME.

Similar question, hope to get more help .
You can not go into TWRP also?! Or you can go into TWRP and can not reboot to system/erecovery/bootload ?
Problem seems to be /misc partition. If you somehow wipe it (in twrp terminal) or flash recovery without /misc in fstub, MAYBE it would go out of recoveryloop.
Do you have unlocked bootloader with notification screen on boot like "bootloader is unlocked and phone is not trusted.... press Power button to continue..." ? If not, how you bypass it? If yes, you can hold Vol+ for 3 sec to go to eRecovery. Any change to download stock rom to external SDcard to dload folder and to hold Vol- and power on phone?
yes my bootloader is properly unlocked and no still get the loop with stockrom and try do anything in twrp have problems with mounting errors

Where do you find or made twrp for LDN-L21? must be error in fstub or wrong busybox/toybox version.
Did you fastboot flash recovery twrp.img or fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img ?!
