yea, ill try again
Ok, now i have it all downloaded, but when i open androidcentral.exe, it doesnt show my serial number
You might want to read this through too. It will help you root your device but rooting doesn't automatically allow you to install non market apps. You still have to mess around with the settings.db file on your phone which can cause undesired results if you do it the wrong way. Safest bet is just to install the android sdk and install non market apps via adb. Xperiax10iuser has a nice little guide called "ADB for Noobs" you can reference.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=790505
Also, the Sideloadwonder machine can work but a lot of at&t x10a users including myself had trouble with having the device recognized. If it worked great, but if not, I got mine to finally recognize by installing the flash drivers from SEUS update service. Install it on your computer, follow the step by step guide to updating software, computer will then install the drivers and you can update your phone if you would like. There should be 133mb upgrade that you can do. I don't know what's in the new update though. Have fun and good luck!

worked for me
Cheers
thanks, I will give it a try
I got it to work. SHTTPS has to be installed in C:\shttp\ for the server to work correctly
Don't use that VBS method. LG Firmware Update and LG Mobile Support Tool come across to AVG Anti-virus (at least) as a Trojan Generic. This may be the way apps where written, but I found a solution.
Off to the root workbench for me. I'm on 10e...hehe
As much as I saw an easy fix for someone else, my fix eludes me with the LG Mobile Support upload tool.
I've downloaded the zip that has the automatic script .vbs. I'm able to get the drivers installed, LG Mobile Support Tool installed, but it wants to update it and if I use SHTTPS, the tool will not let me execute or run LG Mobile Support installer without the internet active, even though I am using SHTTPS, and if I run it from the get-go it will not let me get to the main screen. done a restart after installing the driver, making sure Windows Enabler is on, SHTTPS window is up and running on port 9002, port is unblocked on router, anti-virus (AVG) is disabled, Windows Firewall is disabled.
The issue I had was the dreaded progress bar disappearing on the download. I don't' know if the most recent version of the LG Mobile Support Tool that blocks our Offline flash method? The guide I downloaded that was packed in a .rar file. I'm unsure exactly where I found it, but this thing just won't flash.
I'm trying to update to 10e using the following method:
- Force close Google Framework
- Clear Google Framework Data
- Force close Google Framework again.
- Connected to Wi-Fi, update appears.
- Downloaded and verified.
- Install now
DEAD ANDROID ERROR SCREEN
I tried to unroot with Voodoo Rootkeeper
Unroot shows no root in Root Checker Basic
There are some build.prop tweaks related to a few root apps I had on here, most of the bloatware was removed.
How can I get back to 10d stock (system and recovery included) so that I can upgrade to 10e?
I seriously think LG Mobile Support Tool is busted.
I recently got a new tablet, the Digiland DL701Q, after my last tablet, the Galaxy Tab 2, broke from a cracked screen. Its not a well known tablet, but it was $50, so I said what the hell, let me take it. I rooted my last tablet through specific instructions from a video, however I can't find any videos or even articles on how to root this anywhere. Since I have no expertise in this area, I was wondering if anyone can help me root my tablet. Any help at all would be appreciated, thanks.
I need to root this puppy also, so someone please help!
the custom version of Android they have does not run correctly with my web program I am using it for.

I just rooted the one I picked up, go here http://www.mgyun.com/en/getvroot Download that and let it install. Then turn on usb debugging on the tablet, connect it and let it install the misc stuff. Once root is clickable click it, Reboots and comes back up. Should be rooted but use a Chinese app. Download root checker to verify and on the pop up hit the right button. Once passes download supersu from market, open it to install hit the left option on the popup, click the check mark box and right button. Then do the restart supersu asks for, wait for a reboot and verify supersu can grant access with root checker.
Now if you get 3 Chinese apps two you can uninstall but the original one like supersu you can't. Download root browser from market got to system>app and look for irootsu.apk. (Also may have a SuperUser.apk Delete it as well) Long press and delete followed by enjoy I also played with the app they have so may have been where some apps came from you may find you don't have.

Thanks for the site, but didn't work... I just ended up with a bunch of Chinese apps and my antivirus giving alerts every 2 second that this was spyware. It worked flawlessly until I had to verify that it worked, which then root checker told me it didn't. I tried it three times, with and without my antivirus. It looked like a nice go, but got any other ideas? Any help would be appreciated. (BTW, yeah, I did get it at best buy. You too?)

Don't bother...
Don't bother, I went through all that as well. I disabled my antivirus, my firewall, let it download, run, and connect to my tablet, yet it still produced no result. The program said my device was rooted, however once I downloaded root checker it said that it wasn't... I even tried Kingo to no avail, (its the same auto-rooting thing but only made in America for Americans), and I have been looking anywhere to root this thing. I'm betting now that the only thing that'll work is an manual rooting process, however if anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to try them. Thanks.
Doesn't work ehh? Being a old dev that quit and hasn't posted here for awhile. I wouldn't come back to just post something to screw with you guys. It does work and here you go as I snapped these laying in bed. As I happened to be bored, remembered I had posted it here so decided to check back. It might detect as malware as I never scanned anything honestly as didn't care to. I guess if you guys can't figure it out I can unroot it and post screenshots with steps but really isn't that hard. But won't be till I actually get a chance to do so.
Also once you gain root with the non english app you have to install supersu as I had said previously.

Sorry for the large pics and iroot isn't the same as kingo btw :good: As just because is a one click solution doesn't mean that it uses the same exploit. Another thing the tablet isn't even actually locked if you want to root it via adb.
---------- Post added at 11:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:37 PM ----------
Just connected it to wifi and see it has a ota in which it blocked other root methods and removed root access via adb. So the above may not work if you took it as I haven't did it yet.
iroot works, even after the update. You need to give root permission in Chinese version of SU and you will be good to go. Install English version apps/uninstall all the Chinese and you're set. I didn't find any need to disable antivirus etc., just make sure your drivers are installed.
I'll give it another try, and just to be clear, here is what I should do: First, download the program, let it install the drivers. Let it do the rooting process and restart. Then I should install SuperSU and have it restart like it says to. After all that I should install and check the root using Root Checker? If it works I'll get back to you guys, I think I forgot to install SuperSU before using root checker.

Speaking of rooting after the update...Would anyone be able to post or PM me the FWUpgrade.apk/FWUpgrade.odex files from the system/apps folder? I moved those files from that folder on my device to prevent the update to prevent losing root, but then they accidentally got deleted (DOH!) from where I put them. If iroot does work on the DL701Q after the recent update, I'd like to get it on there and re-root, but I can't do it now with the updater files missing!
PM sent, no odex for those files. I am working on a quick guide to help with iroot and install of TWRP, including getting touch to work...

Go ahead and system/wireless update your tablet to 4.4.0/A86V_004.
Download SuperSU from the play store
Download/extract the iroot installer to your DESKTOP. iroot download page
Insure that you have all drivers installed, the automatic installs should suffice but you may need to boot into fastboot (hold volume down/power until menu comes up, use volume key to select fastboot and connect to pc), mode seperately in order to get the(M65XX) driver, if the iroot program doesn't automatically install.
Run iroot as Administrator, when complete, it will tell you in English that the you have root, however the SU toast notification will be in Chinese. Click the left icon to grant su permissions to continue. You may get a couple of Chinese apps that piggy back on the download, no worries, you can delete them later, they seem to be system cleaners/task managers.
Go ahead and back out of all of that and disconnect your tablet. Run you SuperSU app. Again the Chinese version may ask you to grant permission. Go ahead and click the left character in the notification to grant. Once SuperSU has permissions you are free to administer root privileges as you would on any other device.
Ok on to the tricky stuff, (well, hopefully not for you)
Again go ahead and download/extract this to your desktop. Easy Magic TWRP Installer for MTK devices w/ubifs
Connect your tablet to PC w/USB Debugging on.
Run the executable as Administrator. You will need to run this install MANUALLY in order to get the touch screen orientation correct the first time.
Download and copy the stock recovery from the link below somewhere on your pc.
Start the program and select NO for manual.
You will be prompted to place stock recovery in the STOCK folder, go ahead and copy it in there.stock recovery image
Follow the rest of the prompts, if the program does not detect your resolution it is; 1024X600.
You will be asked if you have a flipped screen, click YES
You will be asked if you have touch screen problems, click YES
You will then be presented with a selection of screen orientation options, click the radio button for Normal Screen Swap XY Flip Y
The program will then continue with the installation and boot into recovery (TWRP Touch). If everything is correct, you should have fully functional touchscreen functionality (although it seems upside down, buttons on left).
Use the stock recovery below for unpack/repack if you get into trouble and lose stock (English) recovery, (you won't effect the actual chinese stock recovery):
stock recovery image
Don't forget that this device has a reset button on the back which will assist you to boot up normally, should you run into problems. Best of luck.
If you feel that you have hosed up your recovery through any attempts, I will assist you in returning to stock, which can also be pushed by the TWRP installer. Please give credits/thanks to the great teams that created the iroot and Easy Magic installers. This is simply a guide I created none of the programs or content.

I really don't mean to be a nuisance, but this stupid thing still isn't working for me. I downloaded iroot, let it run, and at the end it said my device was rooted. I started up SuperSU, and it said something like the SU binary needs to be updated, and I let it update, only to have it say it failed. I don't get what I'm doing wrong, my tablet is up to date, my computer is up to date, I reinstalled iroot and supersu multiple times, and restarted everything like 5 times. Also, root checker says its not rooted, however it also says the system appears to be running very slow. Do any of you mind explaining the steps like you would to a five-year-old? I feel like an idiot not being able to do this.
Not at all, it took me several attempts to get this to work, wait for the actual Chinese SU notification to show up to approve, this seems to be hit an miss.

EvilPenguin42, first of all make sure you are downloading and using the PC version of iRoot (version 1.7.9 right now), not the one that you download as an apk and run straight from the tablet. The latter one does not work (it may say rooting succeeded but when you reboot you aren't rooted). Protocol 9's instructions might not have been clear about that distinction.
Note added for PC Version, thank you...
I'm using the PC version, I've tried the apk one as well to no avail, but does the SU notification comes up on your computer? Where am I supposed to see it? Also,do you mean I have to re-root it multiple times using the program? And probably should've asked this sooner, what does SU mean and the SU binary in SuperSU? I'm sorry for being an idiot, but I miss being able to use root privileges. Thanks in advance

Sent you a PM, lets try to start from scratch.....
Hi everyone,
I'm new on xda and I come here because I struggle to install this app on my rooted Galaxy S4 with CyanogenMod 11: "Paiement mobile (pour Orange)" (sorry, I'm new, so I cannot post urls).
In fact, this app has not been declared by the devs (on the Google Play) to be compatible with my phone, despite the fact that I have the specs to run it (NFC payment).
I asked a friend who was able to download the app to upload it on Aptoide, giving me the opportunity to download the apk on my phone (this apk is available in this thread). I tried to install it, but I get the following the error: "app not installed".
I would like to force the installation of the app. I tried many ways, like using apps that use root access on the phone, without success (for example, I tried with "System Apps Installer" on the Google Play, but I get a problem with mounting /system). I also tried to install it with the command line tool, but I get the error "[install_failed_invalid_uri]". I tried to change the permission of the /data/local directory and /data/local/tmp with ES file explorer, but it did not change anything.
In addition to this, I'm not able to enable usb debugging in the developper options (to install the apk with adb), because every time I activate the option, it becomes disabled in the following seconds.
It seems to be a little bit complicated, because I seem to have different problems, but I hope that someone here will be able to help me !
Thanks for your help,
Aquignis.
The issue is most likely Cm. They alter things so some that normally work no longer work
I suceeded to solve the "[install_failed_invalid_uri]" error in the command line tool by also changing the permissions of /data.
After that, I got another error (yes, one more, but the last) that made me discovering what's the real problem in this situation: "install_failed_missing_shared_library". By doing some researches on the web and exploring the apk, I understood that the app use a library called "org.simalliance.openmobileapi" that corresponds to the work of SIMalliance, who developped an API called "Open Mobile API", which notably enables communication with NFC sim cards and must be integrated to the build of the ROM. This system is used by many banks in Europe and has been integrated in the stock ROM of many NFC devices by the important manufacturers, but not by Cyanogenmod devs in the last stable release of CM 11 for the Galaxy S4.
Like you said it, the problem was CM
I asked them if it has been integrated in CM 12, because that is why the app is said to be incompatible with my device by Google Play which automatically checks which libraries are installed on your device (I'm waiting for their answer). The other solution would be to add the library to the CM build by myself, because it seems not to be very complicated, but I'm not qualified enough to do this !
If it is not part of aosp I wouldn't count on it being added to be honest. Not to mention most banking apps refuse to work if the Rom has root as it can cause security issues.
Yes, the root seems to be a problem with some apps according to the work of this man.
On the other hand, I think that this API is important enough to make CM devs pay attention to it, because it is used in many countries (except the USA which use only HCE, I believe). If only I was able to build it myself !
Just saw this on the official Nubia page, appears to be android 5.0 with split partitions for Nubia Z7 mini dual sim:
http://www.nubia.cn/service.php?sid=5
(use translate)
Has anyone tried this? or seen it before?
I am rooted and gapped so I am a few versions behind as I lost OTA abilities, has anyone got this OTA? Would prefer to do it via this method than using their tool.
EDIT:
Looks like tomorrow is the day:
Dear Cowboys: Hello, everyone! Thank you very much for the concern and support of Nubia. We have been trying to improve the user experience of the system, but also endeavor to provide stable version, on Friday, we will publish Z7, Z7mini, Z7Max, the official version Z9mini and X6, the beta version Z9Max and subsequent versions will continue to update . We will soon open Z9Max, Z9mini recruiting closed beta, so stay tuned Oh! For nubia UI you have any questions and suggestions are welcome to nubia UI area or issue recommendations section exchanges. new stable Lollipop for mini's been officially released
link( in Chinese): http://pan.baidu.com/s/1hqGSezy (password:5mpy , MD5: 2651F3539381AA0B12A21B54729E2EBD )
Above rom can only be upgraded via official upgrade software: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1bnc0J1d (password: 2mua)
Be warned if u choose this one u must use the upgrade software I gave in the link, because there's some changes to the software, using old ones will cause boot loop.
Be warned using this method will lose all ur personal data and apps. U can only upgrade using this method if ur current rom is official 1.82 (4.4 Kitkat) or 2.03, 3.01 (5.0 Lollipop), if using other roms, CM or YIOS for example, the upgrade software will refuse to continue >_<. However, using MIUI6 is OK, because it is based on official 1.82.
recovery zip ROM: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1pJxaYM3 (passowrd:el1j, MD5: 4C409536B1124A86E65F1B66E94E0C2C)
This zip file can be flashed using both official and CM based recovery, provided ur current ROM is official 3.01, otherwise boot loop is also expected
As the files are too large, the only way to download them is by install a clound file management program issued by Baidu. Blame Nubia for not using cloud disk with English support
download link of Baidu cloud file manager:http://bcscdn.baidu.com/netdisk/BaiduYunGuanjia_5.2.7.exe
Just an FYI for other users lookign to upgrade.
My update went well. I installed 1.82 via custom reocvery method. This lost all data but thats what i wanted, to start fresh.
the I used the nubia updater tool to flash the 3.12 rom.
Once the rom is loaded, you will find a lot of junk chinese apps so you will want to clear those out and of course no root or google apps.
here is how to achieve this:
Root - download kingroot pak file from google, run it and you will have root. Its a bit bloaty, you can uninstall all the apps it creates except kinguser (this is the equivalent of superSu) - would be interested to now if anyone else has found a root method that works.
Install custom recovery:
https://mega.co.nz/#!fsMXSC6A!2Vpqy2SGIC_WbFAqNgzE6WgArW2vaWha-zwp_o7yvqE
Enable USB debugging
extract nx507j_twrp_2_8_5_0_NEW archive
connect phone via usb
run recovery.bat
(thanks to another xda user for this)
Boot into the recovery, and install:
pa_gapps-modular-mini-5.0.1-20150418-signed.zip
(google for that file, others may work but this is minimal and does what you need)
Once rebooted, open playstore, enter your gmail, then your contacts and calendar will be synced!
install an app like links2sd or root uninstall and start clearing out all of the garbage apps.
That should be enough to get you started. I will attempt to install xposed tomorrow.
Xposed:
see my other thread for xposed
So I seem to be stuck. I had used the nubia updater to get to 2.03 and rooted and dropped in TWRP. After that I did a TWRP backup. Next I did the usual steps and flashed CM12. Now I want to update again; but, my backup file of 2.03 is corrupted and won't boot. When I try to use the nubia update tool it doesn't see the phone even though it says the driver is installed correctly. I have also tried the steps that @rx1 posted on 7 May, but that hasn't worked yet. In my device manager settings it has Android Phone with a dropdown that says Android Composite ADB Interface and the driver is installed correctly. However, a little further in the list it says Other Devices and lists Android with the yellow exclamation. Despite what I try it won't find the driver for that one. It's confusing because one says it is correctly installed (as does the Qualcomm Drivers installer) and the other does not. Ohh, and when I look at my computer (sorry not a PC guy, borrowing from a friend) under Devices with Removable Storage, the phone shows as a DVD player. Any ideas or help out here?
Sorry, posted in wrong thread.
I think you wiped system when you installed CM 12 or later . Your phone has already merged partitions and you don't need Nubia Tools anymore.
- Go to TWRP
- Downlod form PC a 3.01 or 3.12 ROM , preferable rooted .
- install it after wipe only " factory reset " .
If your PC can't see the phone ( only as DVD ) ....try to re-install CM 12 from phone .
The only driver that works:
uninstall all existing items form your device manager, disconnect phone

run it and select option 1 install drivers
reconnect phone

Also agree with poster above you shouldn't be using nubia tool to flash a cm ROM. Use the instructions cm provide.

Thanks for your help. Although, I will say that I used TWRP to flash CM12, not the nubia updater. I do know that much. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but it seems one of you is saying that I should use the update tool to get to 3.01 or 3.12 and the other seems to say flash it with TWRP; am I misunderstanding something here?

Yes, as I said above only use this tool to install drivers. They are the same. Don't use it for anything else on a mini.

Thanks. That was my only problem. I had been using the wrong drivers. It worked quick and simple, just like it did before.
First of all hello everyone since this is my 1st post
I upgraded to official 3.01 Lollipop and I want to ask if it is possible to install playstore without root since I want to run an app that won't work if the phone is rooted and I can't find it anywhere else other than playstore, otherwise I would be just fine without all the google apps.
Alternatively would it work if I installed a pre rooted ROM and then unroot it, is that possible?
Hope this thread is suitable for these questions and thanx in advance to anyone that can help.
What app is it called? Maybe I can find it on play store then send you the apk install file.
It's called OTE TV GO but from what I've read even if you can find the apk it will not work unless you have downloaded it from your device.
Well I don't know how much luck you will have because it shows as incompatible with my device. (maybe because Im root?)
Anyways the way to do it is, either from chrome or firefrox install this extension on your PC

go into the options and enter your device ID and email etc. then yeah just do as it says, go to the playstore then the extension will allow you to directly download the apk file then copy it and then install to your device.
Second option is, there is a app called "rootcloak" that will hide the fact you are rooted from any apps you choose to, so in theory the playstore and ota thing wont know you have root.
I tried the firefox extension but when I try to download any app I get "Cannot download this app.
Login session has expired or your email and device ID are incorrect/not activated on Google Play app"
Will try second option as soon as possible. Thanx anyway
