I asked this question in the rom, root etc thread but was told to ask in the dedication section which I hope this is
Basically my phone's been really glitchy for a while and I want to return it to stock
I tried using RUU_Supersonic_1.47.651.1_Radio_2.05.00.06.10_release_CL195459 but that can't seem to find my phone even with drivers installed
I tried to simply flash a stock rom in TWRP recovery but it always comes back as rooted

Yeah, basically, I've tried flashing the stock boot, recovery and rom but for some reason the Superuser stays?
Yes ur phone remains rooted. Unroot it via supersu. Open supersu and go to settings. Tap "full unroot" then u can uninstall supersu
Hmm, it works for a while but then the SU comes back after reboot, looking at the rom I flashed it says stock_rooted and i think that may be the problem.
Does anyone have a stock unrooted rom to flash ?(zar_cl - Bell)
Use the app called root checker. It will tell you that ur phone is rooted or not. What does it say?

Because you have the stock kernel installed, which has system write protection on. You should try to remove the superuser.apk and su binary from the system while in recovery. Try using aroma file manager to remove them or the built-in twrp file manager.

Just so you know you posted this in the wrong section.
But to help you..
1.Restore to a previous Rom (Hope you did a backup before flashing anything else?)
2.Install Flash Image GUI
3. Flash Boot.
4. Go into Recovery
5. Flash Rom
6. Reboot and you should be good.
Note- Never forget to Wipe

Flash this RUU for the EVO 3D GSM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1208485
Just choose the RUU that fits your devices (DONT Flash the Sprint ones its for CDMA HTC EVO 3D)
Flash the EU ones , this will get you back to Gingerbread (2.3.3) and from there you can update your phone OTA for ICS. Before flashing ICS Roms, YOU NEED S-OFF ! , S-ON only unlocks the bootloader not the boot partition ! .

So your problem is solved?
and, you tried Installing KingCobra 1.6.
To install 1.6 you HAVE to be S-OFF in order to flash the new firmware.
However, if you want to use KingCobra, download version 1.5, it will work perfectly on an S-ON device!
Hope this helps!

Exactly the same for me. I did this many times before -- This time it bootloops -- seems like something goes wrong with the /boot partition. Could be an error in writing the boot cause even that I have S-OFF i use the smartflash method which worked perfectly for me till now... I think it has something to do with the recovery. Maybe you try the latest TWR - as long as you have s-off you can flash any recovery over fastboot. Hope you get it back rollin' cause I have no USB-Cable though
So I got it --- The issue that's causing this error was 4ext like expected. Just flash CWM recovery(not touch!) (mind the button mapping -- Powerbutton = back, camerabutton = accept) then make a factory reset, flash your rom and then it should(!) work Tell me if that worked for you!
long story short i have to send in my phone for repairs i was trying to get rid of my custom rom and install a stock rom but some how i wiped out the entire phone i do however managed to get twrp recovery but can't really do much in there as no files are in my phone and it wont let me side load the stock rom help please?
Ok now dont panic !
Does your phone still have eat least 70% of battery left ? if yes then reboot into the bootloader and relock it and then run the RUU file whitch will return your phone back to stock, and for more detailed info im sry beacuse im currenty on my phone

You need to sideload some other custom ROM.

What is your hboot version?
I hope you have Android SDK installed and running in your system?
I guess I have just run into the same issue. I wasn't able to find any help in the "Device Essentials" thread, unfortunately.
I have no rom. ADB doesnt work when phone is in bootloader or recovery (twrp 2.6.3.0) and I can't mount the usb storage to get the rom onto my phone. I miss the days of my samsung captivate....It was so easy!! Thanks for reading.
I guess the key point here is that I can't sideload anything because adb isnt working in recovery. My hboot is 1.40.

Did you try one of the toolkits like Windroid or Hasoons Toolkit. I would use Hasoon2000's first to return device to stock condition, and then try Windroid if that does not work.

this should fix it. if that RUU does not work, try the link to the RUU I gave for parkerdjohnson

Hello.
I have an Internation HTC One X+ on the Vodafone UK Network.
Few months ago I unlocked bootloader, rooted the phone and installed Lloir's CM mod for it with no problems... Until I tried to update to the newest version of the rom.
Google play store kept consistently crashing despite me reflashing google apps, clearing caches etc basically everything you guys had previously told others to do on here.
So I tried to go back to a previous backup but ran into similar difficulties.
This is when I thought **** it I'll go back to stock....
Long story short my phone is now stuck in a version of CM where certain apps = playstore included no longer function.
I tried to install a RUU to no avail, it errors 170 half way through installation.
I cannot follow the previous steps around rooting and installing roms as for some reason my phone shows as totally empty on my PC, no folders no nothing.
Errrm what else.
So yeah I'm totally stuck to be fair all I wanna do is go back stock now and get OTA updates and be a normal user but I can't even do that. Pleeeeeeeeeeeease help. I know people like me are a massive annoyance but I just want my phone back
Thanks

what version of hboot have you got? if it is 1.40 then there is no RUU for you device at this time.
you could try installing twrp recovery and "sideloading" a ROM on there, then install the boot.img and hopefully you should be sorted

Recently my device was running 4.4.3 gpe ROM. I wanted to update it to 4.4.4 so i saw this "http://htc-one.wonderhowto.com/how-to/update-your-rooted-google-play-edition-htc-one-4-4-3-without-losing-any-data-0155404/" I thought it would work for 4.4.4 but i guess not and now i'm bricked. I did reflash TWRP but adb sideload cant mount system or cache and when i type in adb sideload desktop/ROM.zip it cannot read. It also said error closed. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME.

When you say you were running GPE, does that mean you did the full conversion re-sizing your system partition?

I'm not sure but it wouldn't reboot and install 4.4.4 until I factory reset my device on GPE then it downloaded the update. I had a stock factory recovery.img and it said it was successful until i rebooted it. I changed my recovery back to TWRP so I can fix the problem and so far no luck.

Follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523
Even if you weren't full converted to GPE it will still restore your phone.
Have a ROM on your extSD or adb push it for the last steps

NP man, just remember that if you do the GPE conversion again, you'll have to follow that guide to flash Sense again, but an AOSP ROM will flash fine.
Btw. The no os is a twrp bug. Philz doesn't do it.

I unlocked bootloader and proceeded to use RumRunner and after flashing boot.img (first time for the exploited kernel) It wouldn't boot into android after. Only show pink fuzz on screen.
I get a hang on the first pour that never ends and phone was frozen. System doesn't have an OS TWRP says and wont boot.
tried using multiple RUUs
RUU_T6_UL_K44_SENSE60_MR_BrightstarUS_WWE_3.23.1540.1_Radio_4T.27.3218.14_10.33C.1718.01_release_387431_signed_2

even a few 0P3PIMG.zip I could find online all of which never gets picked up by bootloader
I have a feeling the filesystem is corrupted but I'm completely lost on what to do.:crying:
EDIT:
I do have adb access in recovery but can't push files to /sdcard/ or /external_sd/ .

Yes and No
I figured out that CWM and TWRP were able to do different things(one would mount in ADB and the other would be able to actually mount the "partitions" to flash the /system and /cache) So I put a jellybean version of CM (since I was last running JB on the device)
It boots and loads into CM but also auto starts car mode and has the orientation on when I changed in settings or use a third party app to lock the orientation it would still remain unlocked.
When I plug the device into my pc (with or without dev) it accepts it for about three seconds and rejects the device and says nothing is plugged in.
Are you able to sideload a stock sprint rom?

I have to flash TWRP and the sideload reflash to CWM and then install sideload.zip (as long as its JB)
I Can't try now because I gotta go to work but I'll make a reply to this one once I do.
What should I try to do after it boots into stock?
