[guide][ META-INF] Fix All status errors On all zip's - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

-This is An edited meta-inf can fix all status errors on all Zip's
-Are you having problem while flashing a zip?
If yes this is the perfect way to get it fixed follow all steps to fix your issue
-I make this threat originally for cm11 but then I downloaded a zip and it won't be flashed so I tried replacing the meta-inf folder and it works
-Method for all zip's:
1.extract the zip , and copy your updater scripts to this directory of my meta-inf. meta-inf/com/Google/android here
2.now but the meta-inf into the zip that you want to flash using Rar for android or winrar on PC
3.now recompile the zip with new meta-inf
4.now just follow the instructions of flashing the file
5.you are done now
-Method for cm11 rc13 update :
i tried flashing this update and I doesn't work I tried replacing the meta inf with the previous method but didn't work too so I created this new method only for cm11 rc13
-this update is a patch and it will work only on a clean rc12 update
If you get an error while verifying or any error after replacing the meta-inf this means that you need to reflash rc12 update without any wipes and then flash the rc13 update and it will work

-I am making this threat to help people having issues with cm11 installation
-so here I have uploaded a meta-inf folder witch will make any version of cm11 flash able via cwm 5/6/and philz touch and fix for all status errors
-Note: this meta-inf doesn't have any updater scripts you have to add the cm11 updater scripts by your self which can be founded on the directory /Meta-inf/com/Google/android/ on the ROM package
Just copy it to the same directory of my meta-inf and replace the meta-inf folder inside the package using winrar on PC or Rar on android and now just go to cwm 5/6 or philz touch and flash the update and voilla status errors gone this method is for all RCS from 1-12
-Method for rc13 update :this update is a patch and it will work only on rc12 update without any modification for the system files
If you get an error while verifying build.prop or any error after replacing the meta-inf this means that you need to reflash your ROM without any wipes just flash the ROM zip and then flash the rc13 update and it will work
Tested on:
-Galaxy ace cooper running rc12 and with Philz touch recovery
-Galaxy ace cooperve running rc12 with cwm 5 recovery
-Downloads:
Rar for android: http://www.apk4fun.com/apps/com.rarlab.rar/
Meta-inf: d-h.st/5TV

Try this out :
1. Extract ROM zip
2. Go to <Rom folder>/META-INF/com/google/android/
3. open updater script with notepad++
4. change EOL from Edit -> EOL Conversion from windown to linux
5. zip again
6. happy flashing

[HELP] FTF GB to Flashable Zip

how to convert gingerbread ftf file to zip? gingerbread not ics thanks!
Take a previously made zip (any rom zip)
Now use the tutorial by gektheboss to extract system folder from ftf file
Once u have the system folder replace the system folder of zip wid the one u extracted using 7zip software
Now u need to modify the updater script present in meta-inf folder as per ur system apps
Once done. ... Flash it
Make sure not to damage the updater script or else u will get status 6 error

[Q] pulling boot.img for TWRP 2.7.0.0 touch recovery

Hello Friends,
I just registered to this forum.
It's awesome to read all of the thread inside this forum...
but my brain is limited to learn everything in no time.
Well, I found this thread.
The title is: [RECOVERY][XSOLA] TWRP 2.7.0.0 touch recovery [2014-04-27]
.....................................................
.....................................................
.....................................................
.....................................................
"Installation:
since our device developers are constantly trying to fix bugs, they are always changing something in init.*.rc files for testing. For this reason I can't post a regular boot.img file because it won't work. For now, I've created a script that will take all init.*.rc files from current rom's boot.img and then compile new boot.img with TWRP inside it.
Note : For Rooted & Unlocked Bootloader Only
Note : For 4.4 ROM (should work on older version of android upto 4.1). I don't own Xperia Sola so didn't test it. So please provide feedback
1) Download the latest zip file.
2) Extract it in a folder and place your current rom's boot.img inside that folder. (it must be named boot.img)
3) Connect your phone with PC. (adb must be working)
4) Open your command line and cd to that folder
5) For linux users, type ..........................."
Do you all know what must I do on "placing my current rom's boot.img"? I just can't find the file on my Xperia Sola device.
Please Help.
Thank You.
Boot.img is not a file on the XP. It is the image of the boot partition.
You can extract it from the zip of your ROM or from the ftf from Sony or from the CWM backup.

kernel in zip format is not working

Hi all,
I'm currently using LU200 and there is a problem when updating kernel:
1. I download kernel.zip for my phone and install it successful (this file contains: boot.img, ko file, update script)
2. However, when unzip and zip it again by using command "zip -r" --> I cant install this zip file (some errors occur)
I have checked checksum of those file, both of them are completely different (I see in many forum they use the same command "zip -r" to zip that file).
My question is: is there is tool for zip this kind of file? what is it?

Wi-fi error

Hello xda members
I downloaded a stock rom for android 2.3.3 for my device(Galaxy ACE) and flashed it using odin.
Trying to open wifi but it gives me an error and do not want to start.
I found that the extracting of system.rfs (to delete some APK file) and compressing it again in the rom causes this problem, So i flashed the stock rom without extracting system.rfs
and the wifi starts normally.
I need to delete and add some APK file to the rom. ANY HELP,please.

Extract the zip package, add your apk into system / app, compress zip, get a signature rom package. That's all.
