Hey guys I had my venue for several days now and I noticed that it skips time forward really fast, now is running two hours ahead and I just adjusted the clock yesterday night so I was wondering if anyone has any idea what is going on.

Update to 4.4.4 and the problem is solved
Thx for the info, but it seems in my country the update is not available, talked to dell and tell me to wait for a couple of weeks 'cause the issue is been scalated.

Best to wait then, as firmware for you device might be different from what is available to US customers.

It'll come for unbranded streaks, I guess it's a combo of the o2 ones being out first and o2 paying dell to do it that gets it out first..
Hope o2 don't rest on their laurels and do push for a froyo update...
From what I've read Dell intend to go straight to 2.2 in the U.S., all I can say to our transatlantic cousins is be patient, anything worth having is worth waiting for
That said, all we have so far is an unconfirmed 'tweet' about O2 and 2.1, I guess Wednesday will tell..

However I flashed the Modaco 2.1 last night and I've had NO ISSUES what so ever, everything works perfectly and my phone is like a brand new handset, completely different standard to the 1.6, there's no way I'm going back.
i just hope the dell pc suite works with the official 2.1, would like to be able to transfer my amazon unbox portable movies/shows to my streak.
I take it when they say for O2 users, they mean that the phones locked to O2 (so with the base number 21 is it?), so even though I'm on O2 but with the handset direct from Dell, I won't get the update even though it will be O2 pushing the update over the air to O2 Streak user?

I have an unlocked streak direct from dell and have gone to:
'Settings, about device, system updates' a few times but alas nothing yet, it just says my device is up-to-date.
No update yet.
Came across this "informational" article which claims that Dell has confirmed it has nothing to do with the 2.1 update and this update is being pushed by O2 itself because it was getting impatient waiting for Dell to push the 2.2!

I just read that, more uninformed tripe, O2 are not in the business of writing software they can only be releasing an update from Dell. Maybe it's out of frustration with Dell, though anything I've read on the ill informed net says Dell are planning a 2.2 release ~soon~. The only point in the article I agree with is that O2 sales will likely improve if they can sell a product with 2.1 on it over 1.6.

Mine would not activate on my device. I emailed the creators on Friday the 17th of March, but haven't heard back from them yet. Hopefully I well later today.

I too had an activation issue on my CoPilot with the Atrix. I installed it when I first got the Atrix but didn't try to use at all till last week, had to email support and have them reset my activation number so I could use it. Took them a whole... 4 hours to respond to my email to get everything working.
Honestly though, aside from loading it up, downloading the maps and setting my preferred settings.. I didn't use it use it... so while I assume it's all good I haven't gone on any longer trips to where I use this over google maps to prove it

while I checked the android version, it says its still in 4.2..
I checked for updates and it says, it is up to date..
I saw a manual update but can't risk too much because its new.. any other ways to update to 4.4..
I saw people with 4.3 and 4.4 KitKat..
Why is it so? and only me?
And also when I use MapFactor Navigator for the Tab, it says searching for GPS.. and its the same with Google Navigation..
Why is it so? Is there a fix?
The touchscreen is also unresponsive sometimes..

Dell pulled all of the OTA updates because they were causing problems, and the touchscreen problem is a known issue, only way to update is to use SDC's toolkit

I also found a way to use 3g modem in my tablet.. but the thing is that when I go to access point names and add a new APN, i can't get to save it.. why?
I just got my v8 back from dell after a hardware fix (cracking noise on the back of the tablet). Anyway, I had it OTA updated to 4.4.2 before I sent it to them and now it came back with 4.2.2... I hope they are going to push the update out again sometime soon with all screen or other issue fixed.

Hello, I got a new dell venue 7 tablet about 3 days ago. It worked fine for the first day .... the wifi started having issues on the second day. Its 4.4.4 kitkat ..
The wifi says its connected but I can't do anything as in browse the web or the YouTube. I guess its called a wifi freeze? I called dell and after hour of being on the phone with them, they recommended I do a system reformat which I did with no success. I'm not interested in rooting because that would void the warranty. Anyone with the same issue or any fix? Share your knowledge thanks.
(And if nothing works, what's the return policy with dell? I bought it directly from them. I want to know who will pay the return shipping)

It may be that there aren't many of these in the wild, yet. Many resellers (like Amazon) still have the 2013 models only. People may be waiting for better discounts to appear before purchasing.

The only question is why haven't you returned the tablet? Your post makes no sense you got one good days use of the tablet, now you need help to fix it.
Most people would have simply returned the tablet, and already by now had a new working tablet, but not you.
Any idea when we will get Android 6 and any update. My biggest problem is a Bluetooth issue

Although funny, here's my take on this topic.
I'm no longer caring when it'll come out - I'm getting used to it the way it is, and knowing Verizon, they won't change all that much in it anyway. Sure some improvements, but all in all, it won't be like the old days when you'd spend 3 days fixing and tweaking the whole phone all over again as these days you're finished in a few hours ... only to start wondering when the next update is coming.
I do hope you get the BT issue straightened out before hand. I've nothing wrong with mine so it might be more of a BT settings issue to get it to work right over an update.

Did everything what LG told me to do with Bluetooth in our previous conversation with them,no luck and I change my phone by 14 days return policy same issue with the other one (BT)
I wouldn't plan on Android M until around April. That's when we got Lollipop.
