Many of you might be getting INVALID IMEI after flashing any custom rom or full dump with sp, this guide will make a flashable zip of your imei which you can flash on any ROM after you see INVALID IMEI, make sure that you flash the zip after completing your 1st boot and not directly after rom, there are other reliable methods of restoring imei but this one is a very easy and quick method, keep the zip on your sdcard and flash whenever you get invalid imei
Instructions-
1.Be patient and it will fix your imei, read all steps till #14
2.Download the IMEI_WINDOWS.zip from below
3.Extract the contents to an easy location on PC (prefer C drive)
4.Open command promp and cd to the IMEI_WINDOWS folder
5.Now type "imei.exe 123456789111111 123456789111111" without quotes
6.Just replace both the 15 digit numbers with your IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 respectively
7.Now a file named "MP0B_001_NEW" will be generated in your IMEI_WINDOWS folder
8.Just rename it to "MP0B_001"
9.Now download the IMEI_FLASHABE.zip from below
10.Extract this zip and go to "/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/"
11.Delete the placehere file and paste your "MP0B_001" file here
12.Now zip the META-INF and data folder and flash it with recovery :good:
13.You have to flash this after you see imei error on your 1st boot
14.Don't flash directly after the ROM, just do your first boot then flash it :fingers-crossed:

Can you please tell me how to flash as mentioned in Step 12 ? If you can add a screenshot of that it will be good.
I'm having Xolo Q3000 and i had used the stock ROM "Xolo Q3000 KK S007 27-05-2014"
Both my IMEI is missing and i cant use the phone now

I have been attempting to apply a work around from tjayz thread for restoring recovery. In the CWD folder we are supposed to search for 5) Navigate to clockworkmod/download/download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/
There you will see some two files - recovery-clockwork-4.0.0.4-p7100.img and recovery-clockwork-4.0.0.3-p7100.img
I only see files with names like -2110140792 and -21108160.
Does anyone know if you can rename these files as described in his post?

Just wondering if anybody has managed to unlock this handset, i`ve done a few i9100`s, but this (P) model if giving me greif.
I have looked around the forums, but cant seem to find and definate answer, i dont want to flash a i9100 rom and loose nfs.
So any help would be appreciated.
I have rooted it fine with odin.

I have an i9100p with nfc. U will loose the nfc but you can flash it back on any rom as far as i know. There is a nfc zip for ics and gb.

extract to your desktop or somewhere you will remember
1. root with superonclick
2. install rootexplorer (or any root access file explorer)
3. copy nv_data.bin from \efs folder to root of memory card.
4. enable usb access so you can see files on memory card on your pc.
5. copy nv_data.bin to a location you will remember
6. run SamsungUnlocker and browse to your original nv_data.bin
7. select samsung galaxy s2
8. click "generate unlock code" IF your lucky you will get the code on-screen, if not you will be prompted to generate a nv_data.bin that has the unlock already applied, save this to a location you will remember (i made a folder called "PATCHED" and put it in there)
9. copy the folder you created called "PATCHED" back to your memory card.
10. dissable usb access.
11. open root explorer and goto your memory card -> "PATCHED" folder. select nv_data.bin anc copy it back to your \efs folder and replace the original.
12. reboot phone. unlock should be done.
if this has not worked, check that there is only 1 nv_data.bin (mine had nv_data (copy).bin. check the date and time to make sure the nv_data.bin is the new one you just copied in, if not, rename the original nv_data.bin to nv_data (orig).bin, then rename the new one nv_data (copy).bin, back to nv_data.bin, reboot and all should be good.
Hope this is of some help, if not give me a should and i`ll be glad to try and help.

Dude, this is a dev forum not a n00b help desk.
Post topics in General or Q&A after using search, do not post this in dev forum, its for roms/kernels/mods/reference only!
download galaxy s unlock from play store n it will do the needful ..but from next time plz ask questions in Q&A section!!
P.S. I have done it myself on I9100P which m using currently and dnt forget to backup ur efs first..

i notice EMUI 1.8 not 1.6 which i saw for example a permission manager with it on P6 is that here in that rom too ?
is that rom improved than mine b115 phone is good for first look but

1-camera quality is strange i dont mean bad but it look very strange it is like very poor on quality
2-in call volume is too low in my opinion all " in test mode"

When you install 1.8 you will notice there is only a tap error from uploader..it is a 1.6 emui. That's all.

chamaruco; Thanks for the best of the best user guides you have been making for all of us, but what i want to know is to be able to install the B124 into my phone i.e. G700-10, i have rooted my phone using farmaroot, made a back up of my factory shipped OS and make all my data backup safe through Hisuit, have downloaded the firmware B124 Purtogal version, extracted the zip, (it is now carrying META-INF, boot.img, cust.img, logo.bin, sdload.log, system.img) i have made a folder in my SD card named dload and copied the files in it, uninstalled mobileuncle, reinstalled new mobileuncletool, copied my backuped recovery.img into my SDcard and somehow installed the recovery in to my mobile,
now please show me the way forward, what i need to do and how, please step by step if you kindly can. please.

But my mobile does not boot into CWM recovery mode as i have seen in my previous Qmobile A8 it always restarts in the defualt recovery mode which only give options to "1. reboot, 2. update from SDcard, 3. update from cashe, 4. wipe/delete user data and wipe/delete cache and in the last there is a calibarate TP, AND OFF COURSE THESE ALL ARE THE ANDROID BUILTIN RECOVERY STEPS NOT OF THE CWM
And off course there is not any file or folder named update.app in the downloaded .zip/extracted file. "as i have mentioned above the folder contains a folder named META-INF and three img files named as boot cust and system while a .bin file named logo too.

So after I select the Reworked scatter file there is only the sec_ro partition checked to flash. So after flashing it do I now select the previous scatter file and then flash everything (including preloader)?

Recovery Unpack issue
@michfood , i've tried with all versions of your tool the first an v2 version give a sintaxys error, the v3 give "done" but al of my folders are empty, i need to edit the build.prop because my recovery is upside down ( it works but i dislike the upside down issue)

PD.: i use a W7 utimate pc for unpack, ive tried from the desktop, cmd in administrator mode, from the C:/ directory but my folders are only empty after unpack, another files like rmdisk.tar and other is present but nothing in the rmdisk internal folders
all fine, but it's not unpack & pack my MTK system.img file :/

I did unpack boot.img successfully but for editing ramdisk, but in the extracted folder there is an empty ramdisk zip and a ramdisk file...so how do i do the ramdisk editing??
custom Recovery for Tab 4
ok so I have been doing some lots of research of late into rom building, recoveries etc . I noticed there is only a TWRP recovery for Galaxy Tab 4. I want to know is the any of the guides on porting recoveries may help me build a CWM recovery for galaxy tab 4 coz most of them look like limited to MTK devices. If its possible kindly suggest a perfect start.
No problem with the OS to use am ok with any ie. Windows or linux or cygwin.

2) Custom recovery

How to:
Boot into recovery
take a backup
Flash the zip
Factory reset
Reboot recovery
Restore /data partition
NOTE: You need to flash this mod once only, as this isn't inuded in system or data! So custom ROMs won't affect it

You can root through Framaroot or KingoRoot and flash cwm and flash this zip, be sure to follow instructions or it won't work.

Dear, m not an advance user will you kindly guide me how to flash cwm and flash the zip. i have already installed spflash tool also have created scatter file through Mtkdroidtool. Also kindly let me know which file to use normal or v2 one.

It is not a SPFT-Flashable file. To do this you have to do this:
-Make a backup of your important data (optional)
-Root your phone (Search for Kingo Root on Google)
-Flash CWM recovery (Look in Google for how-to and the file)
-Place this zip in the sdcard or internal
-Boot into recovery
-Make a nandroid
-Chose flash zip from sdcard
-Locate the file
-Click yes
-Factory reset your phone
-Restore /data partition from nandroid
-Reboot
And lastly ENJOY
And yeah, normal one (v1) makes your apps memory 4GB
And v2 makes it 8GB

Dear as per your instructions i have rooted my X900 now there is a kinguser app in my cell. couldn't find the cwm for x900 to flash it but i have find cwm MT6592 ... now i dont know how flash that file to my cell.... also when i booted in recovery i couldn't find the way to make it as nandroid.... any suggestions.....
