Ok, Here's my situation. I installed CM 11 on my droid razr(xt912), and it worked fine for a while. the phone started to feel sluggish, so I reinstalled CM. Then I had the bright idea to format the internal storage and the sd card to get rid of the stock OS to give myself more storage space. I did that, and now I am stuck. I no longer have any form of OS on the phone, no safestrap, no nothing. I can boot into recovery, but I don't know what to do from there.
Is there a stock update that i can flash from recovery? I have looked for hours and can't find anything.
I need help. any ideas?
Sorry If this is in the wrong section, I'm new here.

Ok thanks.
Ok, I have copied the entire internal storage off my Dad's razr, but i have no way to copy the files to the internal storage of the bricked phone.
Thanks R_A_Z_V_A_N for the link to another thread, but that deals with the razr (xt910) and mine is the razr (xt912). No sure if that's an issue or not.

No instructions on how do do it? I can follow, but i don't know enough about this kind of stuff to just figure it out.
Just follow the step-by-step in those thread @SaamiPC . To make it simpler, CMIIW:
1. install motorola USB driver
2. install RSD Lite
3. go to Recovery by pressing Volume + and Volume - and Power Button (until Recovery Mode shows up)
4. Navigate by pressing Vol. - to "AP FastBoot Mode"
5. Press Vol. + to enter AP FastBoot Mode
6. Connect USB cable to PC
7. Run RSD Lite
8. Load the firmware for your device
You can get the firmware from one of those thread.

To boot to recovery mode I must be rooted, is this correct?
If no, how can I get to this mode (the one I came to until now I can't choose any installation).
And if yes how do I do, please point me to a direction with noob-manual, thanks.

No, you don't need root for stock recovery. Put the file on an external SD card, turn the phone off, hold both volume keys and press power. Then scroll to the recovery option with volume down, and hit volume up to boot into it. Finally, choose to install zip from SD card, and flash away.

If all 2.3.6 ROMS are the same, why the different version numbers? I think the question is valid - he wants to know what's different about this ROM compared to say 651.167.19?

Granted, but the EternityProject's thread/website states that OTA can also be flashed via RSD.
Anyway, I just want to know how to flash this OTA given the fact that CWM recovery won't recognise the package.
Any ideas?

How To Manually Update your Motorola Razr XT910
1. Download the ‘Blur_Version.651.167.26.XT910.Retail.en.EU.zip‘
2. Rename the file to ‘update.zip‘ (without the quotes, of course)
3. Now connect your Razr to the PC via USB cable and transfer the update.zip file to the root of external SD card
4. Disconnect the phone from PC, and power it off.
5. Reboot to Recovery mode.
6. The phone should automatically detect the update.zip file and start the update process. If it asks you for confirmation, Select Yes.
7. Wait for the firmware update to finish. Once it is done, reboot the phone.
8. Let the phone boot up and display the initial ICS setup. Go through it, and sign in with your Google account.
9. Go the Market, and download + install a Terminal Emulator app. This is a good one
10. Launch the terminal on your phone and type in the following commands. This will restore your su backup file created by Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper, and thus restore root access
./system/su-backup
mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/system /system
rm /system/bin/su
ln -s /system/su-backup /system/bin/su
11. That’s it!!! Enjoy rooted Ice Cream Sandwich on your Razr!

Hey, hacker812c,
Thanks for the detailed instructions! I did all this, but the update process still ended with a failure. A complete log can be seen on the picture I've attached.
Can anyone help me identify the problem?
EDIT:
Actually, when I rebooted into recovery, I was met with a triangle and an exclamation mark. What's more, the update.zip was not recognised automatically - I had to press the three buttons to see the menus and then select "Install update from SD card".

I figured it at last. Got the full ROM fastboot files from a French forum and used EternityProject's alternative flash tool. Everything went smoothly.
I have a razr maxx and I am (or was) on the latest ICS OTA. I rooted my phone trying to flash a rom. I tried flashing two different roms and it kept telling me "signature verification failed". So after a while of trying to flash and being unsuccessful I decided to try to RSD back to stock. Now that keeps telling me that it fails. Anything else I can try? please help me out. I'm willing to either flash a rom (or try to) or go back to stock, just want my phone working again.
Thanks in advance

Everything the previous poster said is true as far as how to fix it. The underlying issue is that you were (more than likely) trying to flash a GB ROM on an ICS system. The "Signature verification error" comes up because when your phone went through the ICS OTA, it updated the bootloader to a newer version. When you flashed the GB ROM, it throws that error because the version numbers are different from the GB bootloader to the ICS bootloader.
Just a little background info. I'm also curious were you just not paying attention to the version numbers?

yes as he said. Make sure pay attention to the details of things. ALWAYS do research on something before you flash it onto your phone. And as far as being on ICS you can no longer do anything with GB anymore (including roms and anything else)

SO i found out how to manually get into Stock recovery on the t mobile version of the galaxy note.
1) While the phone is on just hold down Volume Down + power button for 10-12 second
2) When you feel a light vibration release the power button while still holding down button, and then just hold volume up button as well
( both volume up and down at same time) hold until it show manual mode.
once her it give me the same stock recovery options.
apply update through external sd
apply update through cache
and some other options i don't remember
" what i did"
i tried to flash Superuser binaries by pressing apply update through external sd. It seemed like it was about to go through then it said error invalid signature. When i tried to reboot the screen went completely black and my heart stopped. SOOOOOOO i waited a minute and then just held the power button and it booted up again "PHEWWWWWW"
Just wanted to share my experience as it seems there are alot of people trying to find more info.
Maybe this will help someone get closer to cracking the puzzle
I should be sleeping, since I need to be up in 4 hours for work, but I can't sleep because it's too friggin hot.
Did you have it connected to a comp when you tried this? It should force it into download mode then instead of going to recovery. Theoretically, then it would be a matter of using Odin to push custom recovery and SU.
Unfortunately, it's too damn hot to even fire up my computer, or I would be working on this right now. Well, if nobody has managed to get it by morning, I'll try to work on it while at work.

Get into recovery and flash this file in recovery, i got it from roto, here is his post on how to do it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30081450&postcount=34
comfirmed root!
i can confirm that if you have nandroided rotohammers tmobile dump then all you have to do is download the root superuser file and put it somewhere in your sdcard and manually go back to cwm (powering off device and pressing power vol up and vol down once you feel the phone vibrate let go of the power button but keep holding vol up and vol down until you see the cwm screen) then find the file you downloaded earlier flash and once done reboot the phone. "walla" your rooted on att galaxy note with a full Tmobile stock rom.
I can confirm that the TMo Note is easily rooted, almost the exact same way as the ATT version.
These steps all assume you have rooted before and have ODIN installed on your computer. If you have never rooted and don't know what ODIN is, you will need to read up on both before attempting anything or risk bricking your phone. I, or any other member of XDA, am not responsible if you brick your device. Attempt at your own risk.
Step 1: Download Clockwork Recovery tar file found here, select ODIN at top of post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526431
Step 2: Download SU binaries (attached in this post)
Step 3: Open ODIN
Step 4: Connect usb to phone and computer
Step 5: Boot phone into download mode by pressing VOL DOWN+ POWER until phone goes blank and phone vibrates, then release POWER and hold VOL DOWN + VOL UP at same time. Once in download mode, select UP.
Step 6: In ODIN, select PDA and locate the recovery file. Then select Start.
When finished, close ODIN and copy the SU binary zip to the root directory of your internal phone storage.
Reboot into recovery by disconnecting phone from USB and following Step 5 above.
Install SU zip through CWR, you are now rooted. Reboot and update SU binary from app.
I know this can all be found elsewhere, I just wanted to place it in this thread for convenience

No, you still need ODIN to install recovery for the rooting process. For that, you have to be in download mode on the phone, not recovery, and you can only get to download mode with the USB cable attached. I think my instructions in my earlier post may have confused some people. I'll have to clean it up later.

I've flashed CM9 & CM10 ROMS and none work. So hang tight on the stock ROM right now. Freeze all the crap with Titanium Backup. Its working well for me so far.
OK, Now that I got rooted, and got wifi tethering working....next step is to wait for a dev to make a rom for t-mobile.

This is what my phone says when it turns on! encryption was interrupted and cant complete, as a result the data on your phone is no longer accessible.
to resume using your phone, you need to perform a factory reset. when you set up your phone after the reset, youll have an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to your google account.
it gives me a reset button but when I press it my phone just restarts and says the same thing???
I had just rooted it using razr blade and it worked great but I wanted to have clockworkmod to be able to do any recoverys if needed. I downloaded a bootstrap recovery that I found and it worked fine. I did this because rom manager didn't support my phone, I gave it superuser access and clicked boot in recovery to make sure that it worked. it did, and looked just like clockworkmod recovery even said clockworkmod recovery. anyways I clicked normal boot to restart my phone and now im here... any ideas on what I can do??? I don't have any backups yet I didn't get that far.
Have you considered using a different recovery? BMM and Safestrap (i use the latter) are current ,proven, and reversible. As for correcting the problem, I'd just wipe the slate clean. That's what RSDlite is for.

This is for rooting, recovery, and fixing soft brick. Do your homework before you use these utilities, and make sure you know how to fix your phone before breaking it!

Somebody posted a thread that looks like a similar problem (today, as a matter of fact). There is a link in one of the replies to a fix.

im pretty sure im screwed, its cause i cant turn on usb debugging to connect to anything ive been trying everything all day and no luck so idk..
You were using RSDlite in fastboot mode, and the computer didn't recognize the device? USB debugging isn't an option when you're outside of the OS, so it's just a matter of having the right USB cable and Moto drivers installed.

i downloaded my 4.1.2 firmware and put it in rsd and then it un zipped. my computer reads my phone when i plug it in. and in fastboot it says that its connected to usb but rsd doesnt read
So after a couple days of browsing every page on the internet to find a solution on why RSD lite woudnt read my phone and still not coming up with an answer, I decided to try it on my desktop which runs windows 7 vs windows 8 on my laptop and wouldnt you know it my phone popped right up and i was able to use RSD lite to flash my phone back to stock 4.1.2. thanks to luckiestnut419, phone is good to go. Thanks for all your help man.
Okay so this is what happened. I had been having problems with a ROM I had so I wanted to try out a new one. The new one wouldn't flash for some reason (correct slot and downloaded correctly yes), and I had already deleted my other ROM to make space for the new one. My "BACKUP"ROM I had under TWRP folder all of a sudden was not there anymore and now I had really no option but to use an ICS stock ROM. Instead, I tried to flash the new ROM onto the STOCK ROM slot and when I rebooted the little android malfunction icon popped up and I can't even access the SafeStrap recovery mode, only the simple one where you use the volume keys as controls. (Yes I'm a noob in need of help). So can somebody help me and tell me how to get ANY KIND OF ROM on my phone? lol Thank you guys.

I did this yesterday.
You will have to flash the Stock ROM back to the phone using RSD Lite or similar. Check sbf.droid-developers.org - Droid Razr for ROMS. I'm assuming you have a XT912.
If you have a XT910 look here RAZR XT910 Firmwares SuperThread (Jelly Bean) or sbf.droid-developers.org
Before its battery go zero flash with rsd lite ur region firmware
Tapped from Razr

Big trouble I've heard.
Just plug it in to the wall charger. If it was off, you will see the large blue battery icon showing it's charging. When you go to fastboot it will also show you "Battery OK". I think that means you have enough charge to flash, but I can't confirm that.
The big downside of flashing with RSD Lite is it will erase your internal memory.

True.
Will removing the emstorage line in the XML file avoid that? I haven't used RSD Lite in ages, just fastboot with the commands from the XML. I just ignored flashing and erasing emstorage.
