I still have this device, but it is not active on my Sprint account, using Nexus 6 now. So please bare with me as RIL things are gonna be a little harder to test during this Alpha stage. From what I can tell, DATA should be working, voice appears to be as well, I know WiFi is for sure

Looks great!
I have to wait til later to try. I have to work and can't be messing with my phone :{

You are correct everything seems to be working flawlessly. Amazing for an alpha, the only thing is the location icon staying in the status bar indefinitely but that's the case on every lollipop build so far. This is the perfect DPI too text looks exactly the same size as a 5" device but with much more real estate. I did have to flash supersu because I did not have root after install. I'll be running this for a while thank you.

Awesome so far only issue I see is it can't read iccid and seems there is some issues connecting to LTE at times, I assume these 2 issues go along with one another. Best 5.0 I have used so far

thanks guys, the location icon is effecting all devices right now, even nexus 6.
@ LTE/iccid, I'm just happy it even works, lol. I had built a aloha last week but couldn't even get a signal icon, hehe. all this will only get better from here ?

it is, only our stable build, and weekly that are built by our jenkins have the "official" tag
granted, i do know how to build as "official" (locally) but no need too

probs I experienced so far :
1. root access, although I have enabled from developer options, still app like titanium backup considered me have no root
2. my note 3 gsm unlocked through the way on xda & also flashed to other cdma carrier, like in slimkat everytime restart, default network is gsm so I have to switch to cdma through phone info application (4636). but here on slimL, when changed to cdma, it have to wait for much longer time for the cdma to on (and sometimes I have to switch few times from gsm to cdma since it reverting back to gsm)
3. experience few times reboot because of application error (ex LMT)
otherwise, I am happy with this alpha build and will love to have the PIE build in as we have in slimkat.

So far I haven't had to use the 4636 code with this, I have stayed on CDMA. I flashed SuperSU update and that took care of root problems.

Running great. This is the first non touchwiz ROM I've used since I got my note 3 and it's running great. Very fast smooth and this lollipop build is just sexy as hell. Very nice work on this. Thank you

I've been running Unofficial CM12, but having options is always good . I'll just keep tabs as it get's further along.

Loving this ROM so far. Only issue I've noticed at this point is the roaming settings (System Select) don't seem to stick.
I am looking forward to more customizability options but this thing is rocking right now. Battery life seems on part with other LP ROMs.
Great work!

Just flashed this and this Rom is a beast loving it so far awesome work OP and slim roms team this is my daily not going back to touchwiz

Will there be an unpacked version of this rom?

Cool man! Glad you got a thread over here for us
Only thing I've found not working aside from what's posted under Not Working is that during a call if you place it in speakerphone, the other party can't hear you.
BUT that's something I'm sure will get iron out as time goes by :good:
Definitely glad to have this on the HTC One!
So I'll ask the dumb guy question. I jumped from VZW, so I'm not even slightly familiar with cross-platform flashing or radio swaps etc. Anything I need to know other than just typical flashing instructions? Any unique stuff that we need to do for TMo flashing?

I hope there's some way to preserve the sense camera & gallery. all the other stuff can go to hell, but those apps are reeeeally nice.

Most Sense 'apps', and especially the camera app, rely very heavily on the Sense framework. Unfortunately that means that most of them will never see the light of day on an AOSP ROM.

As I recall on the G2, it was possible to get wifi working on CM7, but it required kernel tweaking. I give it a 50/50 chance.

Maybe you meant to post on a different thread or something BUT what does the G2 and CM7 have to do with getting the sense camera (which btw is damn near impossible) with this ROM??

By the way, I can't make no calls since I can't hear anything when I try to make any call i am on the tmobile network.
I wonder if I am missing anything
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Cross post from Romans AOKP Rom thread:
I think something is up with AOSP with the GFX . If you download the live wallpaper below you will see it has some strange effects that do not happen on the stock rom. My Nexus 10 tablet and nexus 4 on 4.2.2 does not have the artifacts so I do not believe this is a 4.2.2 issue with the phone but both your Cyanogen and Romans rom display the issue.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tribok.android.livewallpaper.springtideshower.lite
Its a great wallpaper BTW but wanted to bring it to your attention because maybe something is off with the GFX driver being used? I understand that major work is done by https://github.com/htc-msm8960 but thought I would let you know if you could help pass along.
Thanks,
1WayJonny
Is there a problem making calls? I have not been able to hear the receiver end when making a call at up.
Can any one point me in the right direction? I have try several things with no success at all.

Why is this ROM "taking CyanogenMod to the next level?
CyanogenMod does not want to include many customizations like they did in cm7
But why not? We want to customize our phones!
This ROM adds more options and cherries to CyanogenMod, cherry picked from the CM gerrit, Google gerrit, AOKP gerrit, SGT7, TeamEOS, TeamBAKED, Slim ROM, Root-Box, ChameleonOS and ParanoidAndroid
Basically this is one big mixture of all the great ROMs out here!
Stock but still highly customizable the way we like it
Build with linaro gcc 4.8

First off, thanks for adding support for the Evo LTE, it's always nice to get some love for non-Samsung phones.
Couple quick questions as I've been shopping for a new rom for a while now that the MeanBean dev has more or less moved on.
1. Does this work with the newer touchscreen firmware? I tried vanilla Cyanogenmod 10.1 a couple times (last time being about a month and a half ago) and I saw it still required a downgrade. I ask because I'm hesitant to downgrade as I do like to keep a Sense nandroid around.
2. What's the difference between the gapps and the gapps slim in terms of feature set/ram footprint?

There was a display driver firmware update that happened on the phone a while back. Long story short, it made the touchscreen not register user input on all non-Sense based ROMs. HTC dragged their feet on releasing the code for devs to make the changes (and may still have not gotten around to doing it). I ask because I've had a really really hard time finding a straight answer on this and got tired of constantly reflashing Cyanogenmod every few weeks to see if it had been addressed yet.
The only way to address the problem I've found is to flash an old Sense ROM and then flash Cyanogenmod. So it's kind of an either/or unless you want a huge hassle every time you switch between them or you want to run an old Sense ROM.
If that isn't an issue anymore, I'd be more than happy to provide feedback for bugs, performance, etc. My phone hardware is version 003.
Thanks!
Sweet!! Thanks devs!
On Wi-fi, it may actually take me 3 days to download ANY of the Gapps.

Yeah, there isn't any is there? Our phone has hardware buttons.
Not only that, but like in all other 4.2 AOSP Roms, if you choose a Menu icon in the Nav Bar, it doesn't work either. Even the 3-dot menu doesn't work on the launcher.

Works very good.
Only bug I see is the mobile signal bars are showing full bars or no bars only.
There are no 1 bar. No 2 bars. And no 3 bars.
Two bugs found so far..
the same signal bar problems either ful ot blank..
and cant turn on wifi...
as I click on wifi nothing happens...
rest ok smooth enough
:good:
I have made some changes. Note that I don't have the device so it's pretty much a wild guess and I'm basing this on experiences with other devices I compile for.
I need feedback from you. Please check the build from today and let me know if the issues still exist!
Also let me know if you are interested in these builds. I think it's pretty nice to have a nice stable clean AOKP build without all the bells and whistles other custom roms offer. What do you think?
Interested because we have NO AOKP for our Note...
I also like AOKP.
Customizations are just awesome.

Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 4
If you read a little bit more here on xda about that topic than you will find the answer.
Problem is that the devs need the Source code (ans something more to get a nice running Note) for that and that's the problem: Crapsung (TM) do not provide that code. So I think we will never get it solved on non based Samsung Roms.
BTW, you can try a xposed module for that. Maybe it works better for you. Also found here in the world of xda
Apart from getting 2-3 random reboots, this rom is very stable, customizable. Battery life is good too.

For now I am just building and releasing unofficial builds. Official builds will come eventually.
Saved for later
I just installed the ROM and it's really smooth! It's hard to notice any lag at all and the camera works fine.. Battery is draining a little too fast though.
I'm gonna stay on thus ROM for today and report tonight its 2:10 pm in where I'm at.
Where is the download link?.... OK I found it ?this is the best rom I used on s2 let see how it goes on d855
I just found out that pre-installed (in developer settings) Root don't work, apps think that root has been allowed but it really isn't. And after installin SuperSu it says that it can't install it's binaries.. Its not a big problem but just so y'all know its there

Don't judge battery based on the first day of ise after install. The battery life is always abit meh after a brand new install. Let it settle [emoji14]

Good to see that my favourite ROM started to support my phone. :highfive:
@acardinal
Tyvm for this, I ran your builds on my g2 almost exclusively.
Been running this for about 17hrs and its running great.
I don't have any root issues as previously stated, but I always flash the su zip after any ROM.
The hotspot always shows no connected devices, other than that everything is running smooth without issue.
Thanks
Is there any plan for Korean variants? Thanks!
Can I ask how's Camera Quality on this rom?
Specially shutter speed and pictures quality under low light. On vacations right now so can't download and flash myself but looking forward to it.

All aosp etc cams are basically the same. There OK, but if your looking for near stock quality, its not going to come in a custom ROM.
Some of us are running the moto cam, which seems a bit better than the aosp cam, but still a good bit off stock.
Its just the way it is until someone figures out how to port the stock cam to aosp, which may never happen.

I don't want to derail this thread too much with cam talk, but to sum things up, I took some identical shots with the moto cam, camera 51 from the play store, and the one you posted.
Moto cam was without doubt the worst.
Your cam and cam 51 were nearly identical, but I think cam 51 was very slightly better in a mixed lighting condition, which I believe is where a lot of the non stock cams fail to keep up that's why I chose this as a test. I was sitting under light with light at my back shooting towards a dimly lit area.
I actually just found the cam 51 last night, so I haven't been able to test it thoroughly yet, but it looks very promising, as does yours.
Thanks

Forgot to mention, it appears that apps with a persistent notification don't seem to survive a reboot. Such as gsam and llama. It appears that they are still performing as intended, just the notification is gone.
Thanks

This is not my camera. It is ported from LG G2 and has same quality as stock G3 camera. You can find it in LG G2 thems and apps section. All credit to the developer who ported it.

I'm super excited to announce Carbon Rom for the Jewel!!! It's been a long time since I've seen this one on this device. I hope you enjoy it, along with the other ROMs I have helped push out for this device. More details to come. For now, clean wipe, flash, and enjoy!!!
NOTE: May not run on first bootup. If not, just restart the phone, and it'll push through fine.
As with all my ROMs, I suggest the latest TWRP for recovery.
I also suggest Slim Gapps for packages.
DOWNLOAD ROM HERE
Special thanks to Carbon team, and CyanogenMod team, both of whose code I used to make this possible.

No. Way. I was a big fan of Carbon way back when, glad to see this back up on LP! Thanks for your work =)
Edit: Install worked great and I'm up and running; all features seem to be functional as far as I can tell. This runs nice and light, very snappy!
I noticed that there have already been several downloads of Carbon. I'm glad to see people at least giving this one a look. I'm not a guy who is too picky on features, so I can switch from one ROM to the next without missing much. For the time being, I'm on Carbon, and I haven't had any hiccups.
One quick note here, be sure to check your ringer volume. For some reason, although my volume was ON, it sounded way soft to where I didn't even know it was ringing. Maybe it's just me, but check to see that you have your ringers working properly by calling your phone.
First, thank you for your effort in in keeping this device relevant when most others have moved on(which of course is understandable). Much appreciated
I haven't seen any issues with the ringer volume. In fact, I find all the audio through the device's speaker much fuller and louder! Very surprised that the device is capable of this volume.
The 2 issues I've seen with this ROM are:
1) Relatively weak battery life compared to 5.1 PAC ROM beta's and Unity ROM 5.1 . Its dropping from fully charged at 10:00 PM to ~60% in the morning without any use. I've used it for 4 days now and will give it a few more days to settle down. It could also be the half-popped kernel with double tap to wake feature.
2) Notifications are not readable due to white text on white background

That's weird, because my notifications are white on a black background... I wonder if its a theme issue.
I did post another update.
Anybody using this rom? I'd like to hear some feed back.

Installed it on my old unit - full wipe, flashed minimal gapps recommended, only issue I see is I'm getting "insert SIM card" whenever mobile data is turned on.
Not that I have mobile data or need to turn it on mind you...

Yes! I'm using it, and I have been since I first got it working. I can say that after a LOT of use, I have had a couple of random reboots, but it wasn't enough to turn me away. Everything works for me like it should. If you're interested, you really should give it a go (if you haven't yet).
Secondly, @7357, I noticed you have listed in your tag an older TWRP version. The newest one can be found at https://twrp.me/devices/htcevo4glte.html. At the time of this writing, it's version 2.8.7.0. You'll notice that CaptainThrowback is one of the maintainers there. Give it a flash if you haven't!
