I have had my tablet for a couple of weeks.
For the last couple of days I have had an occasional issue with the touch screen.
Sometimes when scrolling on a web page the page will scroll up and down uncontrollably. Other times when using the keyboard touches are not registered or are registered when not touching the phone.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?
I had all sorts of crazy screen issues when I had the extended usage ticked in the stamina mode settings. I thought I had a faulty unit for a while. Check if u got that ticked.

Thanks I checked but it wasn't ticked.
It has been okay for a couple of days so hopefully it will be alright.
Hope so mate. Mine was really tearing into my enjoyment of otherwise a really nice bit of kit.

Howdy!
I am suddenly experiencing a delay with WidgetLocker. When I hit the power button to wake my phone there is a 1-2 second delay with the clock. It doesn't sound like a lot but it takes a millisecond to check the time. I have never seen this before and its a really jarring experience to read 9:20 and then have it flash to 9:45 right as I click to relocl the screen.
I've done multiple searches and can't find anything other than one post that said this is normal since the phone is waking from "deep sleep" and there will always be a delay. I don't think this is right since I have used WidgeLocker on multiple phones over the last year or so and never noticed this. Its pretty hard to miss.
Any ideas or suggestions? I've tried rebooting, checked for updates, etc.
Thanks.

I would point to this as the problem. Even without widgetlocker this occurs. Not sure what rom you are on, if any, but have you tried the zero wake lag options? It stopped the problem for me.
I am on Beans 9. I recently had to do a restore from nandroid. I wonder if a setting didn't restore fully. I will check it out.
Is there any downside to zero lag options? Just wondering why it wouldn't be default.
Thanks!

GOOOOOOOOOOD NEWS
this what i got from HTC representative
Dear Salwansk,
I have some news for you that I missed earlier today. I can confirm that we have started working on a touch sensitivity update for your phone. I don't have an ETA for release, however we have some suggestions in the meantime. If you have a screen cover or screen protector, we suggest removing that and cleaning the screen.
Let's calibrate the keyboard, which impacts the entire display. Here's how:
1. Slide the Notification panel open
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Languages and keyboard
4. Tap HTC Sense Input
5. Tap Advanced
6. Tap Calibration tool
I also suggest cleaning the screen if there is a chance that dust or moisture is on the device. This can further improve your sensitivity.
i can confirm that my phone and my family phones are way better now........
what i did is cutting around the buttons "BACK & HOME"..... now it has been almost 24 hours and i never get the lag again
i hope it will work forever
Noticed this myself. Might be tied to the issue of decreased capacitive button sensitivity. I'm hoping the 1.29 OTA update will fix it.
Yeah same here. I noticed I have to press it at a certain point to function

same here, the back button is slow or sometimes doesn't work. hopefully the next OTA will fix it.
There is a calibration utility somewhere in settings that fixes this from what I remember reading a few days ago.

I wasn't having any problems until I put on a screen protector, then it became laggy. Took it off and haven't had a problem since.
I cut my screen off where the buttons are and I haven't had issues since. A bit annoying, since I want the SGP Ultra Clear but don't feel like tearing them up. I've heard that the Taiwanese version got an update that fixed it completely.

It's a known issue people. The .13 update fixes it.

Hi all. Usually use SwiftKey but when I upgraded to 290 I did a fresh install and decided to try the stock keyboard out for a bit. Didn't have any phantom clicks at all.
After 2 weeks or so, reinstalled SwiftKey legacy and boom, phantom clicks ahoy. Anyone else able to confirm this? If a few of you post the same results I'll link their support to this forum.
Thanks in advance.

I personally have SwiftKey Tablet from the first Nexus 7, used it on a Galaxy S3 and on the Ultra with no problems at all.
I'm using SwiftKey beta at the moment, because of the number row and a few other adjustments that aren't present (yet) on the main app, but I don't see how it could be different...

The slightest bit of dirt or even an excessive smudge can be registered the phone as touches on the screen.

I returned to normal keypad and phantoms clicks were gone instantly.

Furthermore, my screen is almost always covered in fingerprints and/or wet, and I got phantom clicks only under the rain... texting under the rain is a PITA, but then again, it happened just once... It's not an everyday thing that's for sure...

No problems here with Swiftkey (latest Version). Works well. Only if the display is heavily covered with various layers of fingerprints it can cause phantom clicks, but in every app, not only Swiftkey.

Yeah, this was literally as soon as I enabled SwiftKey and then returned to normal once I'd disabled it. Definitely wasn't due to dirt this time.

Madly in love with this phone, but took it out to italy last week and took some shots on it and constantly a pop up telling me the camera was being stopped due to extreme temperatures
The phone was warm, but not very hot and I had only used it for one or two shots when it did this, repeatedly
Anyone had this issue?

Is there a way to remove it from the screen? It tends to cover up a lot of watch faces.
Thanks

Something may be wrong. If it's always there, that could possibly run the battery down really fast. Depending on the watchface, the wording doesn't show up. On some of the stock faces, the face lights up, but no words show, which I like lol. But that may be because I am on the gohma rom. LOL.
But before that, the words should disappear within a few seconds. If it doesn't try a few other watchfaces and see if goes away. Does it even show when in dimmed mode? If so you may need to first try rebooting the watch and if that doesn't work, try doing a complete reset of the watch. Unless someone else can chime in. GL
Mine shows then disappeares fairly quickly. But its annoying that it covers up text on some watch faces. Is it watch dependent then?

Yup! When I first got it, it only showed for the first couple screen wakes. I think my watch updated and now it wont go away.
