As the title says, Zagg has finally added Original and HDX style screen protectors. They both ship more-or-less immediately, but their tempered glass one is still out of stock.
Head on over to http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/google-nexus-6-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields to see.
I will be more than likely getting this.
I'm kinda curious to see if ZAGG can release a glass screen protector that fits the N6 correctly or should I say "seals" correctly.
I've been looking at my BodyGaurdz and I think the flat design would be OK if the adhesive was a little more, um, adhesive.
So anyway what is HDX? It's basically plastic right?
I've already gone though 2 of the glass ones from zagg ( they have been available in store since they launched the n6 ). The original from sprint, and the updated sku version directly from zagg ( not sure what changed ).. They do not fit any better then the others. They go right to the edge of the device, and over the curved screen to produce wonderful halo effects right over the proximity sensor ( no cut outs for camera or sensor ). My second one is in the mail box right now waiting to go back to them... I can live with some halo effects ( some, not what i'm getting ), but with no cut outs, it does effect the device. Stick with your bodyguards for now ( at least its got the cut outs for camera/proximity), or get the orzly which is cut smaller then the screen to avoid the curved edges. Only other option would be plastic ones, like the zagg HDX.
Save your money....

HDX is plastic like their original, but smoother and more transparent
Good to see, but I'm only interested in Glass which is still unavailable.
Zagg Glass in my experience are the easiest to put on, due to the easy plastic handles on the sides. Helps you line everything up perfectly.
Yeah that's kind of what I'm waiting for too is glass. I currently have a bodyguardz pure and it is not sealing on the edges.

Just ordered the hdx, hope I didn't waste money.
dont get the original, with a screen as good as ours, this will make it look like poop

I've had the zagg hdx in order since the 15th.... Shipping keeps getting pushed back.. Called to cancel my order due to this and they discounted it for me for the inconvenience. They said it would be shipping by the 6th.

I have been certain I wanted to get a glass screen protector for the N6, but the more I read about them the more it seems like it is unlikely I will find one that fits the N6 screen well. So I've been looking at the Zagg HDX. According to Zagg, the HDX actually provides better drop protection than the glass. However, the glass is better at resisting fingerprints. In regular day-to-day use, I"d probably have more issues with fingerprints than drops. However, fingerprints can be easily wiped away. A drop could do a lot of damage. So I'm starting to waver in my conviction that a glass screen protector is best.
Do you believe that the HDX would provide better protection from damage to the screen? And, if you've used the HDX or seen it, what do you think of the clarity? Any glare?

Since posting above, I did a little looking online to see what I could find out about Zagg HDX v Zagg glass screen protector. I ended up on Amazon. Since there are no reviews on these products for the N6, I took a look at the ratings for them on the iPhone 6+, thinking that it would be the most similar to the N6 in size and shape. Looking at the 30 most recent reviews, the glass averaged 3.95 and the HDX 2.88 out of a possible 5. From the glass reviews, the ones that concerned me the most mentioned chipping on the edges leading to cracks in the glass. From the HDX reviews, the most concerning were comments on how hard it was to apply, the lack of clarity, and problems with smudges and fingerprints. I'm still considering.
Edited to add: I went back to Amazon and checked out the reviews on the HDX for the Note 4, and they were much better---4.5 out of 5.
Just my experience with Zagg as a company I was a loyal invisishield user and was replacing two items through there warranty exchange. The items never came. I contacted them and they said they wouldn't charge me for not returning the items as they were moving locations and shipping was delayed. Long story short, I never got the items, Zagg charged me for not returning the defective products (because I never received replacement) and refused to refund me and fought my cc dispute. Pretty shady over 40 bucks. Just my experience

The best non glass one I've used (after trying 6 non glass and 3-4 glass) is the Spigen Crystal plastic one. I would recommend trying it. I still want glass, but I'll wait until they get it right.

On my previous phone - icarez was by far the best i've come across. I tried a few glass ones, but the halo left me reaching for a plastic one again.
Currently : http://www.amazon.com/Protector-Spigen®-Crystal-JAPANESE-Definition/dp/B00P1HJC2E on my phone and my wife's phone. As the previous poster said, hoping these companies will eventually get the glass protectors right.

I will confirm this. Have the Zagg Glass on my Nexus 6 and it has seal issues. Mostly around the speaker ports and slightly on the edges. It's a little better than some of the others out there, but IMO not near good enough. I've ordered a HDX replacement back on Dec. 26th and it was showing expected ship date as Dec 30th and still is. Spoke to them this morning and they said it was back ordered and they don't expect the HDX for N6 to be available until end of Jan.
I too find myself in a quandary regarding glass - its preferable, but if none of them are cut correctly then it seems something else will have to work in the meantime. Has anyone compared Spigen Crystal (one of the best "standard" plastic I've found), Zagg HDX, and Rhinoshield - in terms of color/clarity/fit/anti-fingerprint coating etc...? Zagg HDX and Rhinoshield are suppose to be "not quite glass, but impact resistant harder/clearer than normal film" types, so I wonder if it stands up.
Edit: I hear that Spigen and some other plastics manage to obscure/trigger certain sensors like proximity... has this been your experience with Spigen, HDX, Rhinoshield etc...? Also, I wonder how close the Rearth/Ringke protector is compared to Spigen - the Ringke design seems to have a proximity cut out where the Spigen does not...but I hear that few standard protectors have the clarity/slick glassy feel of the Spigen.

The Spigen has never given me any sensor issues and I've been using it since late november. I've seen people saying the Rhino Shield is cut way too big so it has a halo effect. The Spigen is the largest fit I have seen with plastic ones so far. I have tried Mr. Sheilds, Invisible Shield, iCarez, Spigen, Xtreme Guards, Jelly Comb etc.. and all of them have issues except for Spigen. I didn't like Spigens other Nexus 6 products (Neo Hybrid broke in a week, Slim Armor kickstand was too weak) however they nailed the screen protector in my opinion.
running the HDX here and no complaints with quality, came from the glass protector and it had the nasty halo effect, returned it told the dude at the kiosk, happily gave a refund and hooked me up with a free HDX, he had to get it specially cut in the machine, i guess this was when HDX was still unavailable at the time, but either way had a sheet of that stuff and just bam put it on, a few places of imperfections of the shield not completely "drying" out but beats better than having a naked glass for the meantime!
I just received my HDX in the mail today, after waiting more than 3 weeks for it to even ship. There is no cutout for the sensor or camera, which leaves me in dismay. There is also no fluid, this is a dry application screen protector, my first from Zagg. I've purchased at least 5 different screen protectors from Zagg, for tablets and phonesl and they have always been "wet" applications, so thats a little odd for me. The protector went on quite easily. The only "bubbles" are near the edges where it isnt sealing/adhering quite perfectly, especially at the speaker ports. I dont use the front camera too often so hopefully there wont be any issues from the screen protector covering it. 8/10
Edit: As a side note, I'm pretty worried that my case will push up on the edges of the screen protector, as it doesnt seal quite perfectly. I did not have this issue with my skinomi protector that I just replaced with this Zagg one.

I purchased a MIME tempered glass screen protector after trying others without success. First I had a Spigen nano glass tr which was nice. The Spigen didn't last long, my first 3 would lose the ability to adhere in certain areas after 1-3 weeks and my last one cracked without me dropping my phone. All of them were replaced by Amazon thankfully. I then tried the Extreme guard tempered glass which was so and I took it off after a day. I then did some research and decided that MIME would be the best because it only had the ear piece cut out as opposed to the huge ugly cut out that others have.
The MIME was by far the easiest installation I have come across. They include a anti dust sheet that is like a giant plastic screen protector that you user to get the dust off your screen before you place the glass on it. Then you just peel off the back and let the adhesive do the work. The quality is also unmatched in terms of the feel. There is no loss of touch sensitivity and the oleophobic coating doesn't wear off like my Spigen one did on my Note 3. It is also worth mentioning that the MIME has curved edges so it has a very nice feel and the curve prevents chipping for those of us who use the G3 naked.
After having my MIME for 7 weeks and surviving many small falls it finally broke. I was at school heading to my physics lab and my phone slipped out of my hand while opening a door. It fell down about 4ft and bounced onto some rocks off to the side of the building. I was worried that my phone was broken after that hard fall but thankfully only the MIME broke and there was no damage to my screen or phone at all. I was using a Cruzerlite TPU case which as most of you may know is very thin, yet it stands up to abuse very well.
Overall I'm very pleased with MIME and they even give you 40% off a replacement for any reason if it becomes defective or if you break it like I did. I'm ordering another one as soon as I get my code for the discount. Until then its back to the plastic one I had laying around my apartment.
When my replacement comes I will post an unboxing of the new one to complete this review. If anyone has questions feel free to let me know.
Here are the pictures of where it hit the rocks:
Great review.
I'm trying to decide which maker I get next.
I'm currently using a Spigen too and I have the same problem with the top corners losing adhesion. It looks awful.
Here is the one I am using. Its is sit on and has been on for going on 3 weeks now. I am very pleased with it..Good price and fit perfect even a case on the phone. Its the ICarez brand of Amazon..

I actually ordered one as a backup for until my MIME gets here. I hate using my phone without the tempered glass because the feel isn't the same and neither is the protection. The MIME is still three best tempered glass that I have tired over the past year or two with the 6-7 brands that I have used. I highly recommend it plus it doesn't suffer from the adhesion issue that others have.
Edit
also the two impact marks on the glass were fairly deep but MIME did a great job with their silicon barrier preventing any puncture or damage to my screen.
In the german Forum Android Hilfe is a posting of one user who´s G3 crashed on the floor, the Glas-Protection-shield without any damage but beneath the impact shattered the Display and the touchscreen modul.
Not even a scratch on the Hardglass Protector
Strange.....
I have a dbrand in order. It's gorilla glass 3 and .2mm thick. I am extremely careful with my electronics. I have never dropped my phone.

I am very carefully with mine as well, but unfortunately things happen when you are in a rush. I dropped my Note 3 with a Spigen glass tr and neo hybrid case from 7 feet and it was perfectly fine. I think it just depends on how it impacts the ground. Post some pictures of the dbrand glass, I'm curious to see how the cutout is on the top.
Its been 3 days and no response from MIME... Their website says they are having issues with their contact system. Does anyone know of another tempered glass that only had the speaker cutout and isn't Spigen or MIME? I'm anxious to get my tempered glass back and I currently have an icarez as a temporary replacement until I can find a better one.

It feels about the same, but mine keeps getting a tiny bubble off to the side which is annoying. I installed it perfectly with 0 bubbles/dirt and it keeps getting this rainbow bubble. So the quality isn't as good because it shouldn't keep popping up, also the cutout is not something that I am a fan of. If it keeps popping up I am going to send it back, but other that that, and the cutout its fairly nice. The fit isn't as close to the edge as the MIME so the gap bothers me since I'm OCD about how things fit on phones. (you can thank the years of going to school for engineering for that) I think that if I had a better cutout on the top (i.e. only for the speaker ) I would keep it as a permanent solution if it stays adhered to my screen.
Update MIME got back to me and sent me the 40% off a replacement. It should be here by Friday so I'll post a updated review with the unboxing and installation around then.
If I buy the MIME Tempered glass from a reseller (i.e. amazon) and not directly from MIME website, will I be able to receive the 40% off replacement ?

Amazon doesn't sell them as far as I know. I believe they are only sold directly from MIME but you would have to email them to find out.
Good luck with Mime I tried both there ghost and there regular on my nexus 5 , both failed within a month , I talked a good friend into buying one also at the same time , his failed also , chips on the corners , on each one , and I'm not talking about dropping it either , at first I thought it's my fault for trying something new at that time there Ghost had just come out , so after three times I'm sorry folks in world that means your OUT, yeah big deal they will keep selling them to you at I forget 60 % off or 40 % doesn't matter if the product keeps failing time after time every time , I've had an Iloome on my Note 3 for almost a year now still perfect as the day I put it on , and I bought an icarez for my G3 a couple mnths ago still perfect also , maybe it was just my bad luck , and my friends also , but if I had a choice I would buy Either an Icarez or an Iloome , I'm sure spigen's are great but at 3 times the price there are better options.......................Peace
if I use the Tempered glass with the Original LG G3 Quick Circle Case, am I going to have any problem to keep the flap in place (attached on screen, not slightly raised) due to the slight thickness that the glass adds?

My quick circle never liked to stay shut even without a glass screen protector. Spigen makes a magnet clip to keep it closed if you're worried about that.
So after experiencing first hand the poor figment of any tempered glass screen protectors I have deiced to create this OP. I have purchased 3 types of plastic screen protectors from amazon to see which if any will be a suitable replacement. I figured if I buy some and they are terrible I can always return them.
1. Mr Shield clear:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00OD...416363968&sr=8-1-spell&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70
I had high hopes for these after buying them for my Nexus 9 and having s good experience. The ones for the Nexus 6 are a far different story. The fitting is so poor they cant cover my display. I believe that these were cut very poorly because you can't align them properly to fit even with their tiny size. They have a nice feel and are easy to swipe back and forth on while using the office but if they can't protect my screen then there's no point in having it. (Pictures coming soon)
2. iSmooth:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00O3OSBHI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1416364063&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SY200_QL40
3. icarez: (coming Wednesday)
These looks just the the Mr Shield screen protectors above, except they are packaged better and come with better instructions. The downside is that they are again cut very small. I have learned that this is due to the curved nature that the ends of the display have, but its rather unfortunate that we are left with a screen that can't be fully protected. These also have a better feeling that the Mr. Shield protectors.
4. Spigen Crystal:
http://www.amazon.com/Protector-Spi...533171&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+crystal+nexus+6
These are the best plastic screen protectors by a long shot. The fit and finish is far superior to any of the other brands that I have tried thus far. They are very thin compared to the other 3 I tried above. The costing allowing your fingers to slide across it with ease for people who prefer the gesture typing. The screen protector does cover the camera, and proximity sensor. Don't let this discourage you because they both work fine on my phone. The fit is much closer to the curves without causing issues. There is a fix for people with proximity sensor issues in the tempered glass OP. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a nice quality screen protector.
Update: from what I have seen, the Spigen is still your best bet. I have a couple as backups and I couldn't be happier. TG has been and still is very hit and miss but you can't go wrong with the Spigen Crystal screen protectors. I have no issues with my proximity sensor for FFC and its the only screen protector I've used since discovering it.
feel free to add your own choices and a brief description about the quality and whether or not you would recommend it.
I got the iSmooth protectors. A little difficult to install, but quite good once they're on. They feel almost like glass, they have a coating on them to prevent fingerprints too.

Let us know how they are. The Spigen ones are good from past experience ( I won't buy their TG again) I hope they are offered with prime to make shipping faster.
I was planning on getting a glass protector, but after reading several posts here I see that is a bad idea.
I normally bought Zagg with my S4, but I'm not really sure what kind I want to get with my new Nexus 6. I absolutely HATE finger prints so anything that gets them easy is a no go for me.
for anyone that bought from SuperShieldz on amazon they just sent me this:
Dear Customer
We would like to inform you that the nexus 6 screen protector we sent to you is incorrect for the camera lens. The proper one will be send to you on Next Monday. Sorry and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Best Regards,
Ann
I would stay away from the iSmooth screen protectors. Received mine today and they are not properly aligned for the front camera as the protector covers it. Only reason I'm not returning is because I need something on the phone until the other screen protectors I ordered arrive.
My Xtreme Guards had the wrong camera cutout also. If all these companies have the wrong cutout, were they given the incorrect dimensions from Motorola when they all started cutting these out?

According to iSmooth, yes that's exactly what happened.
Thank you for purchasing our Nexus 6 screen protectors and writing a review on your experience with them. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced thus far with our product. Since we are extremely fanatical about our customers, I wanted to reply back to you so I could explain the errors behind the engineering of the Google Nexus 6 screen protectors.
I will point out that in order for us to get to market by the Nexus 6's launch date sometimes we have to make an educated guess with our screen protectors. This time, we failed with our cutout design.
Below are the key points that will point out where our screen protectors were either botched or made to fit this new device and the reasoning behind it:
1.) The cutout for the camera is a full camera width to the left of the actual camera -- this is obviously a mistake. However, the clarity of the screen protector will still insure that the camera is NOT affected by the screen protector. It is just customary that the cutouts exist. However, there will still be a little notch for no reason on your screen protector. We sincerely apologize for this error.
2.) The screen protector will NOT go "edge-to-edge" but that was done on purpose as there is a curved edge on the Nexus 6.
3.) If it did go "edge-to-edge", then the screen protector will lift up on the edges as it would not properly adhere to the curved edges.
4.) We decided that 95% coverage on the phone was better than having faulty screen protectors.
5.) Our screen protectors were also meant to work with cases which means if we DID cover the edges of the screen, then the case would force the screen protector to lift and cause a lot of bubbling and ruin the screen protector.
Please know that getting a revised cut of our Nexus 6 screen protectors is top priority at iSmooth - our customers are our #1.
If you would like to receive these updated screen protector cuts when we receive them, please email [email protected] with your name, mailing address and Order Number. When we receive them we will promptly email you and mail those corrected screen protector replacements out post haste with absolutely NO charge to you.
Or, should you need anything else or have any other concerns at all, kindly contact me at that same email address - I sincerely want to help and make this situation right by you.
Have a nice Wednesday and I hope to talk to you soon,

I'm updating the OP it appears like there will be no good screen protectors that are edge to edge with the exception of wet install ones which are a nightmare. I wouldn't risk a wet install with FF speakers but that's just me. I may just get a dbrand front skin to cover the gaps.

Thats what I am worried about the most. The speakers are rather large and I've had bad experiences with wet install screen protectors. They killed my LG G Pad 8.3 (even when I barely put any solution on it, some managed to get into a small gap). Anyway I guess I'll see what else is available.
i just need any of the three screen protectors i ordered to show up. This POS one they put on the phone out of the box is killing me. I swear, would it kill moto (or any other manufacturer) to at least put a half way decent one on the device out of the box?

I'm updating the OP it appears like there will be no good screen protectors that are edge to edge with the exception of wet install ones which are a nightmare. I wouldn't risk a wet install with FF speakers but that's just me. I may just get a dbrand front skin to cover the gaps.

I prefer wet install. I get the best install. Plus isn't this phone "splash" proof? (or was that a miscommunication?)
Curious to know how many people will be putting those wet rubbery protectors on there device. I ordered three different brands but now that I think about it, do I really want to have to deal with that mess? Yes, you risk damaging your screen or scratching it but you have to change that rubbery stuff every few months. I had them on iphones and blackberries and after a few months they would get really nasty. I do have a Spigen tough case on it. The regular non rubbery screen protectors only cover the screen before the curve.
Just was curious to know what everyone was going to do. They won't arrive till later in the week, since Amazon misqouted arrival dates, so I am still mulling over it.
I've always put screen protectors on all the phones I've had before I let them out in the wild, but never those wet ones! My phone should be arriving sometime in the next few days and I already have several no-brand screen protectors (regular PET type which only cover the centre of the screen so I'll see how those go), and two Spigen cases (thin-fit smooth black and Ultra Hybrid clear). May end up opting for a tempered glass screen protector once some reviews come out. I have a tempered one on my G2, but it seriously limits the type of case I can use due to the bezels being almost non-existent so I'll wait for now.

As far as I know, there aren't any tempered glass screen protectors for the S6 edge that will cover the entire screen. They haven't figured out a way to create one yet and if they do, I think a lot of people were saying cost would be an issue, for instance someone was stating prices like $50, $75, or $100. I might put one of those center ones on but it would really be pointless if it doesn't protect the entire screen.

Like anything, if there is a demand for a product then prices will come down but you're right, initially tempered glass screen protectors could, and most likely will be expensive at first. I know there are PET screen protectors that curve around the screen, which I may try but I'd have to order them from overseas, and I'll need something to get me going. I'm always really careful with my phones and have never dropped, broken or scratched one, but it would be just my luck if I decided to let this one go naked. Right now I'm just hoping that my phone doesn't come scratched out of the box like others have experienced!
I hate non tempered glass screen protectors. Why have a beautiful screen and screw it up with a that? However, love the tempered glass ones but I seriously doubt there will be one for the edge. Ha ha.
Usually I'm only a tempered glass user but with this Edge I'll have to settle with a regular one. I bought the Invisible Shield Dry HD and I love it. It has gotten better over the years and the orange peel effect is all but gone. It's bubble free and barely noticible.

There is an Invisible SHield Dry HD for the S6 Edge? Where did you purchase it at cause as far as I can tell only the wet version is available?

Att.com had them when I ordered the phone.
Out of stock but here is what you may be looking for.

I figured if ATT had them on the website then they must have them in the store so I ordered them online and picked them up in the store.
I never liked invisi shield because of this (see photos), these bubbles. Will these eventually resolve? I followed the instructions to the letter.

Not without reviews where the person actually wrote out what they thought about it, no matter how cheap it is.
Yes, I always use a screen protector. I hate bubbles though so I have to get it perfect before im happy.
I ordered a screen protector for the Edge that covers both edges for full protection. Mine is made by a company called Araree, a South Korean company.
It is shipping from Korea so I should get mine next week.

Bestbuy has them. just had one put on the other day.
Never used the wet ones but the mess doesn't sound appealing. I always get dry ones for my phone because I'd rather the cover get scratched than the screen itself. I've got a matte one that covers the edges coming from Amazon sometime this week. I'm trying matte for the first time because I like the idea of glare reduction.
I have a Zagg InvisibleShield HDX cover on my S6 Edge. Goes completely over all the edges and sits almost flush with my cover. I paid to have Best Buy apply it and they did a pretty good job. It is already starting to peel up but I'll go back and they'll re-apply it or they'll fix it with a re-application of the adhesive.
thanks

thanks you verry much
I am worried about pressure points.
with no glass cover, the aluminum edging actually makes it impossible for glass to touch the floor, no matter what angle you try at.
I am worried that, if I add 1 mm of glass on top of the current glass plate, that the thickness will rise past the aluminum case.
meaning that impacts would be redirected to the glass plate.
and not in ideal spots probably.
Ive always used tempered glass before. on flat screens.
but I have second guessed this time..
I may use a thin film.
My theories are probably not exactly correct.
the extra layer of tempered glass would probably add more strength.
I just imagine those weak points and pressure points of the glass and second guess the engineering.
while looking at the phone now.. the corners of the second glass plate would rest on an edge surface with hard material underneath,
meaning extra reinforcement..
I think I will use the tempered glass also.
Any glass recommendations for the BLU R1 HD device?
I am looking for the same. I found some on AMZN but dont know if to bite the bullet on them.
Amazon Screen Protectors
Honestly I wasn't going to put one on, because for me it's just a cheap backup, But after one day of use I already have a few very small scratches on the top right hand corner, Gorilla Glass 3 isn't doing great and my OCD is already bothering me.
If I get scratches on the actual screen area I'll lose it lol
On Amazon their are three choices and honestly they very well may all be manufactured by the same company based on the listings
BLU R1 HD Screen Protector [Tempered Glass], Popsky 0.26MM Ultra Thin 9H Hardness High Definition HD Scratch Proof Premium Screen Protector Glass Protective Film $8.50 w/ Shipping
[2 Pack] BLU R1 HD Screen Protector, Nearpow® [Tempered Glass] Screen Protector with [9H Hardness] [Crystal Clear] [Easy Bubble-Free Installation] [Scratch Resist] $9.99 - Free Prime Shipping
BLU R1 HD Tempered Glass Screen Protetor, Vikoo Scratch Proof 0.26MM Ultra-thin 9H Hardness Shatterproof High Definition HD Ultra Clear Screen Protector Glass for BLU R1 HD Phone - $8.30 with shipping
They are all 0.26MM
They all have 2.5D edges (which should match better with the 2.5d screen
They all have oleophobic coating
They all list Anti scratch/shatter/explosion.
My advice would be that if you want a backup protector and have prime go for the second one, otherwise the last one is 20 cents cheaper and most likely they are all the same screen protector just repacked by different companies which is extremely common. For a buck and some change more I'll probably go with the second one and let you know how it goes.
I ordered the one from Nearpow. I will update this when it comes in and I install on my BLU R1 HD.

Looking forward to your review as I'm looking at that one myself.
I got this one early on.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I61Y33Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
When I received the product, it didn't look like the one in the picture. Honestly, the shape and the cut outs looked like the other ones you listed. Fit was horrible. The Blu has a lot of curve and the edges weren't able to seal. Lots of lift around all the borders. Hopefully, these other ones are better.
Any updates on best screen protectors, no scratches yet, but i have saw a post or two about how easy this screen scratches.
The one I purchased arrived last night and I took off 6 for a .99$ plastic protector that I bought. That protector never say well so I gave the glass a try. Unfortunately the glass one sat just as poorly. Where the cut outs were for the camera and the LED the glass did not fit flush against the phone and showed as it was lifted.
I have taken both off and am just using the phone naked.
IMO
In my personal experience *most* screen protectors are created equal. My sister bought one off Amazon for 10$ and I bought one for 1.50$ on Ebay, When they arrived her's was in a fancier box but inside the boxes they had almost exactly the same contents. I tried scratching mine with a knife, and it didn't scratch (so it was glass). I'd say it is worth the risk (only 1.50 shipped in the same time as amazon one)

I bought the nearpow one and the fit was awful, because of the 2.5D glass it just didn't adhere on the sides at all and it wasn't even close to full coverage. I've chosen not to worry too much about the screen, it's a $60 phone.
I just bought a cheap case that has a bit of a lip to stop the screen from touching stuff. If I place it face down for example.

Same, because the phone screen is not square in the sides the protector don't adhere like it's supposed too
Does anyone like the nearpow ones from amazon? I bought the box with two of them but haven't put one on yet. I'm wondering if it's even worth trying since reports so far don't seem to good. I can see where it might be more challenging to make them for a screen with rounded edges. I have two of the phones now and like them very much so am interested in protecting them.
I purchased this one:
"BLU R1 HD Tempered Glass Screen Protector, Vikoo Scratch Proof 0.26MM Ultra-thin 9H Hardness High Definition HD Ultra Clear Screen Protector Glass for BLU R1 HD Phone"
from amazon.
Does not fit cleanly.
Given all these reports I am beginning to wonder if these are even tested or manufacturers just assume it will work once cut out to size.
Sadly, i'm just joining in the bad news. I purchased the Qosea Ultra-thin 2.5D 9H Hardness Crystal Clear Scratch Resistant Tempered Glass Screen Protector for BLU R1 HD and so far it-s the same result, it doesn-t stick on the edges because of the curvature of the screen. I'm still using it because i don't want to ruin the screen so i'll be waiting for the confirmation of a tempered glass that actually fits the screen properly.
I'm a bit baffled reading all the comments here and on amazon. It truly seems like nobody tested these things. I-m starting to think there are fake commenters because each glass protector have at least one 5 star review telling about how amazingly fits. Followed by nothing but unsatisfied people.
I have had mine since release and it's still in good shape. Don't see a point in getting any protector for such a cheap phone.
Well it's not exactly tempered glass but the reviews are better as to fit. Apparently it's a hard plastic. I'm getting this phone for my kid so something needs to go on there becasue he's not exactly not clumsy.

Hi Guys,
Since there is no good tempered glass or screen protector available for the S7(not edge), Spigen has one but that's way too expensive and I wasn't able to find an authentic one in the market. Has anyone tried protectors and skins by GadgetShieldz? Here's the link-
http://www.gadgetshieldz.com/samsung-galaxy-s7-screen-protectors-covers-cases.html
The plus is that if the product is as good as they are describing then it covers the sides too. The con is that there is no actual proof or hands on video regarding the same+it is still expensive atleast for me but there's no other alternative.
Thanks
I just ordered the matte and the ultra clear screen protectors. I didn't buy the body because I have a Rhinoshield bumper and back protector. I'll post a review once they arrive.
Good product the body shield is
Have been using the Gadgetshielz full body protector for 6 months now. It is quite good and the cuts are precise. Quite a lot of work, applying them is. Be patient after applying, in a week or so, the bubbles and wobbles will sort themselves out. Was hard to believe when I completed installation and saw what a mess it was.
That doesn't look like tempered glass. I will NEVER go back to the flimsy protectors. Too many issues with bubbles, etc. But, I have yet to find a tempered glass that full covers the edges. It's more of an issue when things are right at the edges (such as text) that makes it difficult to read, but I'll take that as it's rare knowing that I have a tempered glass protector on that does a better job of absorbing the shock of a drop.
Using their screen protector, with my rhinoshield bumper case and no bubble. Wanted glass first but all those that I bought, the case lifted them or they had the big halo, lifting all around cause the curve screen.

Thanks mate. I bought two and will report when it arrives
So, here's why review-
Finally ordered them. It was my first time that I was installing any sort of protector and I was super nervous. The protector kept coming off. I had to wet it with the solutions many times. I drove out the bubbles as many as I could but the end result was way too foggy and messy. But after 48 hours everything was gone, except few dust and fingerprints particles which are my fault BTW there's a huge particle of dust on the back button. Can I lift it up just a tad to remove it? I still have the solution, I am planning to wet it to reapply. Will it work?
Also can anyone suggest a good cover for S7? My current one is a chinese one, but I think it will remove the side protectors if I take the phone out few times because with the side protectors the sides bulge out a bit. @r3xx3r @ere1nion
Any way to get the same cover in India?

I searched for a month, ordered like 10 different tempered glasses from various websites but they all sucked. GS's protector is not a glass but it is the best alternative to a glass.
An out of context question, what are these four stripes/white lines located on the top and bottom side of the phone for? Just along the charger and speaker in the photos below-

Those plastic lines are antenna separators. The frame of the phone is used for different antennas, so they must be separated.

Correct it is not. I use the Otterbox Commuter and Otterbox Defender so this is not an issue for me particularly. I had a partial screen protector on already so no shift in change for me there either. I just received mine in the mail today. The back application was by far harder than the front. I didn't get it perfect. It's the material used on the back. I will not be testing this screen protector but I feel confident with it on. Hopefully it will never need to prove itself.
So, my protector is screwed thanks to Gear VR, it kept on removing the upper part of the protector every time I put the phone in the Gear VR or took it out. Has anyone tried the so called buff guard(a type of tempered glass) which covers the whole screen even the edges? Is there any alternative for the GadgetShieldz protector?
My wife just upgraded to an S7 (tried the Moto Z and it was too big, bulky and heavy for her). She wanted a tempered glass screen protector, but not like the one I have (which doesn't cover the entire screen due to the curved edges of the S7).
After much research, I found the amFilm glass protector was one that was listed in many top-10 lists as being excellent. This covers the entire glass but gives room on the edges for cases. My wife has a Speck Candyshell case for her phone and the screen protector works fine with it. My only issue with it is that on the top and bottom (which is fully protected), it's colored. So you have to choose the correct color based on your phone (black or gold). I don't understand why it has to be colored. Why not make it all clear so you can see the actual color of the phone? But it DOES cover the entire screen unlike the earlier brands that came out. And it was very easy to apply and there are no bubbles at all. Touch response is excellent from what I could tell. I tested it and couldn't find any "soft" or "blind" spots that didn't react and I just lightly touched, so it was pretty good. I'll wait and see how it goes with my wife after she's had it for awhile. It also comes with a lifetime warranty for the purchased product. That means, and they state this in the documentation that comes with the protector, that the warranty does NOT apply to a warranty replacement item. So that means, if you've swapped out your initial purchase with a warranty item, you'll have to purchase a brand new screen protector to get a lifetime warranty again. That is pretty standard across most things like this, so I have no complaints.
Here is the gold colored one that I ordered and installed since she has a gold S7:

Thanks for such a detailed review. There are many protector glasses of that sort available in India, all of them are manufactured in china, but not the brand which you have mentioned. The reviews of the chinese one's is pathetic. So, I didn't go for them. Can you please check and confirm whether the phone fits fine in Gear Vr with the protector that you have installed or not?
This one, though its for the Edge model, looks tempting but I will wait for an early bird's review before ordering the one for the non-Edge version which should be available by tomorrow-
