Need stock recovery.img I have searched everywhere and it does not exist outside of the device. If someone could copy their stock recovery file and post it, I will in return build a cwm recovery for use.
Thanks

CWM
I managed to find a CWM Recovery for Galaxy S Advance, googling it will come up with several results (can't post link),
But I have a problem. Trying to flash the .zip from SD card will start the installation, it says the recovery is replaced with CWM Recovery, and then the phone just turns off. Turning the phone on againg and entering the recovery shows I'm still in the original recovery (Android system recovery (3e)).
The problem is that this seems to prohibit me from flashing custom ROM-s form SD.
Any ideas?
Can someone help me please I need to root my galaxy s2 i777 what files do I need to root n how can I get those files n how to go about it. Thanks

Seems to me that you didn't spend much time searching and reading the forum.
The most direct method to root at this time is the Framaroot apk which you install and then root from your phone. After that, if you want custom firmware, use Mobile Odin lite or Mobile Odin pro to install a custom kernel containing Clockwork Mod Recovery.
Ok I flash a cwm for my phone think I had same spec as goophone i5 but when I did that... the cwm didn't work but now I dont have a recovery at all now.. phone still work fine just lost stock recovery... need help fix that if anyone knows how.

You should not have flashed a ClockWorkkMod that was not meant for your phone.
If you can get the stock package of your phone, you can find those recovery images and just copy it to the same location on your phone.
If your device is not rooted, then AFAIK it is very difficult

Hi..just go to @Silesh.Nair post and in his signature click on the mega 6.3 link and go into recoveries folder and you will ses the TWRP recovery in that folder which will work on the mega 6.3...the codename for the mega 6.3 is melius and you will see meliusltexx in the title of some files mostly roms to let you know it is for the mega 6.3.
Link here in case you need it https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8uuvfvauztdna/MEGA_6.3
Below is the newest TWRP recovery .tar file you can flash with odin...but make sure after flashing you go right back into the recovery mode otherwise the stock recovery will be installed again..this just has to be done once.
