Hello Everyone,
I've been wondering if there's a possibility to upgrade my Ziio7 tablet to Android 3.2. Yesterday I managed to root it successfully but a vision of newer OS is so nice
Nevertheless, I've searched through few forums and googled the topic but no way I can find any suitable answers. Maybe I'm searching using wrong criterias?
If someone konows how to do the trick I'd be grateful for any suggestion.
Thanks in advance,
Radek
Honeycomb never has its source released originally, so ICS would be a better bet to look for. It has specs to run ICS 1ghz processor and 512MB RAM. But from the looks of it there isn't really any dev support and there isn't even a GB update out there.
Many thanks for your reply.
I must admit that I'm quite a newbie in these matters.
Do you think there's any possibility to install more recent android version on my device?
Hello guys
I may be posting this question on the wrong forum, but not sure where to put it since Im new here.
I know my way around Windows and PC hardware, but Im an absolute noob regarding installing ROMs on an Android tablet.
Im have the Newsmy Newpad T3 android tablet, bought from LightInTheBox.com, but I would love to get Jelly Bean on it. It's currently running Ice Cream Sandwich, I think. Its Android 4.0.3, which is working nicely, but I know Jelly Bean is somewhat better. My device has, according to the app named "SysInfoTool". an ARMv7 Rev 0 (v71) CPU.
Now, does one own a Jelly Bean ROM for this device? Or able to help me make one/find one and especially: I need noob instruction on how to get it installed. It's not just like inserting the Windows disc into your drive and begin installing, which I've done many times, so this is really terra incognita for me.
Best regards,
Michael N. Petersen, Denmark.

Hi there,
I recently purchased an acer iconia b1-a71 tablet. It has come with android 4.1.2, and there is no further system updates are available.
I would like to upgrade to jelly bean 4.2 - my reason for this is because I can't seem to bluetooth pair my tablet and htc one together for internet tethering. I've read that jelly bean 4.2 may fix this.
I've been searching around and found a few different posts here, notably regarding rooting and upgrading the operating system version.
I saw this one here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40418380
which says:
ps .My device ( Acer iconia b1-a71 8gB) OS is android 4.1.2 (B1-A71 RV04RC05_TWN_GEN1) want to upgrade to android 4.2(B1-A71.RV05RC05.TWN.GEN1)
so I upgraded to RV05RC05, which I was led to believe contained jelly bean 4.2 - but the tablet still says its 4.1.2.
I also rooted it using this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240029
but it's still the same.
So may I ask - is there actually an operating system update to jelly bean 4.2 that someone has developed?
Or, is there a way that I can bluetooth pair for internet tethering (from the phone, to the tablet) without the update?
I'm a little confused because my understanding with android was that it was essentially device agnostic - and that if I rooted the tablet, I could technically install any android version onto it, including the latest.
Any thoughts would be appreciated - I have a technical background but I'm relatively new to the android space.
Thank you

The latest updated stock version for b1-a71 is sadly still 4.1.2 RV05RC05 all over . Acer sucks too! Acer community mods never replies and instead delete accounts if people ask for its update, and just sends automated messages to be just dependant on other people if they get an update in their region and then we might get in our region and that poor stuff!
Hi there,
I have a Mobistel Cynus F3 with android 4.2.2 and I would like to find a custom rom and/or a way to update my smartphone.
I'm using liquid E2 port found on a German forum. Unfortunately it doesn't work wery well. It keeps "flashing" the initial screen even if the RAM seems constant (67%). This does occur when trying to play, using the magnifier 3-clicks or just browing the web. So i assume it's not a RAM issue.
Back to my request: I would like to know if it's possible to port cyanogenmod (or another custom ROM) on my phome OR what ROM I can use with mtk6577 or, again, how can I found a decent alternative to liquid. I'm pretty new to this world, but probably CPU is the first thing to check when looking for a mod, isn't it?
I read different users in different forums trying to figure it out, but their topic are dead. I'm tring to find the answers by myself, but it's very difficult.
Thanks for the help
Hello everybody.
I have been wondering for a long time now and I thought maybe someone could answer my question.
I loved the holo ui on android jelly bean, and i own a phone with android marshmallow, my question is can i make a android 4.3 rom for my devices, if yes can i just follow a guide on the internet about compiling your own rom, or no, why not? I can't find anybody who don't want to update and just wants the newest possible, i have been googleing for a couple moths but i really can't find anything,
kind regards, Laurens
Thank you!
