Hi,
I recently bought a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. I need to know how do i connect it with HDMI to an HDTV. I've also bought EEEKIT accessories to connect it with my TV but it doesn't seem to work.
Please HELP
THANKS
Look at Amazon for this: 'Samsung Wi Fi All-Share Cast Hub'. I have one. Got it to work about 20 minutes then it shut down. Still working with it to see if I can discover the problem. When you first hook it up it will download a software update. Let it do that then try to restart it again by pushing the reset button. Some people have no problems with it, but I have not heard of any 12.2 users that are happy with it yet.
The EEEKit product worked for me but it was not Wi Fi and the supplied cords are too short.
You will need an hdmi cable, a micro usb cable and this adapter. Follow the instructions on the box and your all set.

Here is my Note Pro hooked up to my Panasonic plasma.
Yes that works but the 'Samsung Wi Fi All-Share Cast Hub' is far superior. No wires from your tablet. TV up scales picture beautifully.
You can sit across the room and display videos, slide shows, web content, etc.
The problem: Hard to get it working. Today I turned off Wi FI on my laptop (which had been on upstairs) and tried again. This time the tablet wi fi to the hub worked and did not quit. I was able to do at least 1/2 hours of web surfing on my big screen Pany TV using the tablet. Since this TV is not a smart TV I am a happy camper being able to web surf using it and the tablet.
So maybe the Wi Fi from the laptop upstairs was interfering with the wi fi signals from the tablet. Would be nice to know if this is the problem.
OK did another test this evening. Had to do a re-start of the tablet to get connection to the hub. So this thing has some issues but it does seem to work when the Angels allow it.

there is a patch out for this problem
Yes, the hub is working much better now. I still have to restart the 12.2, then it works.

So far no screen flickering that others have mentioned. But now i have tried to connect 3 USB hard drives to my dock and none of them have been recognized, the lights on the HD turn on but after about 2 min. it turns off. All 3 of my USB devices are samsung. When i tried to connect my ps3 controller to the dock , nothing happens??!!! HElp would be greatly appreciated! Im a noob btw lol....

Have you tried rebooting. A lot of people have found that after attaching stuff to the dock for the first time it didn't work, but they rebooted it and it worked for them. Something about the dock did an update.
Thanx for that info but i have tried rebooting several times with the dock and USB connected and without the USB connected. But what explains the reason for my ps3 controller not working? ( My dock version is " TF201-DOCK-0206 " ----if that helps at all. )
That's what mine is at and I use my PS3 controller just fine. Have you tried hitting the center button on the controller. I know I was having problems as well until I hit that button. You know it works if the screen that you are on goes back to the home screen.
OMW!!!!!!!!!! WHAT ARE THE CHANCES.....!!! while i was replying i decided to plug my external and it worked!!!! my ps3 controller too!!!! Ive been trying this whole day to get them to work and out of the blue they work lol! thanx again for all for help anyway!!
No problem. Hopefully this helps others out as well.
Hello, I ordered the official Samsung MHL-to-HDMI adapter for the S3/Note 2, hooked it up, and my TV is not recognizing it. I saw that there were some fakes out there, but this one seems to be official. It says Galaxy S3 on the box and the model is EPL-3FHUBEGSTD. I ordered it from Amazon, though the source of the product was a company called ExertaTech.
I hook it up to the TV, the phone says that an HDMI is connected and will allow me to view the home screen in landscape mode. The phone is also charging through the adapter. The TV is a Samsung UN46B6000VF LEDTV, which while not brand new, is only a couple of years old. The TV recognizes that the HDMI is plugged into something, but when I selected the HDMI port it says no signal. I've tried every combination of switching HDMI cables and ports, turning the phone and TV off, unplugging and replugging every part of the adapter, etc.
Anyone have a similar problem?
TV Firmware
Have you checked whether your TV has AnyNet+ ? It is a firmware that comes on new Samsung TVs...if there is no firmware like that, you should check your product's website and see if you can upgrade the firmware...so AnyNet+ comes with...i also have the cable...but I got a Sony TV...so pointless purchase...

It does have AnyNet+, which works with my Blu Ray player. The problem ended up fixing itself. Or perhaps I should say that the TV decided to work how it's supposed to. My TV is occasionally a bastard and won't recognize HDMI devices plugged in, whether it's my phone or my computer. I finally got it to recognize my computer, then hooked up the phone and it worked so huzzah! I just have to put up with a finicky TV.
I thought the adapter worked with any brand of HDTV? I know I saw a video demonstration of it being used on an LG without any issues.

Hi I believe I bought the same cord as you. Is it red? With 3 cords connected to it? Anyways I'm having the same issues as you were. I plugged my gs3 into the cord that plugs into the power source usb and the hdmi and my tv isn't recognizing my phone. But my phone says connected to hdmi. When I look at the device list on my tv it says aynet device list and my phone doesn't show up on the list. If you figured out how to fix this issue I'm having please let me know.
I had problems and solved it by turning phone off, then connect cable, then turn it on again, after that it recognized it
I bought a Viewsonic g tablet on sale a year and a half ago and until this day it meets the light. (It was only touched when purchased then back to the box)
I followed the instructions to the letter (new on this) and everything seems to be working, I have a Malata zpad dock DS-A002 supposed to be fully compatible with the g tablet and I placed the tablet on the dock, connected HDMI in the TV but nothing happens.
Don't see an option in settings to select output to TV.
Many thanks in advance.
Forgot to mention, tried this on the TV which is an LG and monitor which is a Hanns-G
I have to say that this is a first so far. When I read this I went ahead a connected up my dock which is the same make and model as yours to my TV and it works. HDMI is sometimes a pain especially with the newer TV's that are out. You also got to have the dock powered up if you haven't done that. If the power cord is connected and the tablet displays the dock clock then connect the HDMI to the dock with the TV turned off. After connection is made turn on the set and make sure you are on the proper input. It should work, but if not try a different TV.

Thanks for the reply
The LCD TV is a couple of years old, the LCD monitor is 3ish years old
My mother has a 5yr old LCD TV, that's another TV I could test on
The dock is powered up using the charger that came with the gTab
The tablet displays the dock clock when placed on the dock
I've tried different combinations:
Dock powered up, TV off and plugin cable, gtab on then place on dock, turn TV on
Dock powered up, TV off and plugin cable, gtab off then place on dock and power on, turn TV on when gtab is on the dock clock
Dock powered up, TV on and plugin cable, gtab on then place on dock
Dock powered up, TV on and plugin cable, gtab off then place on dock and power on
TV detects HDMI when the gtab is placed on the dock, but after 3-5 secs says no signal meaning it does detect HDMI (shows up as an option, I've tried on all 3 HDMI inputs btw) but it doesn't show up an image.
I've tried these methods in the TV and the monitor, nothing
Doesn't make sense to me since everyone in the thread hasn't had this issue, should be plug-and-play right?

Should I backup the current install and go back to the stock crappy ROM just to test it out? (Wipe everything as instructed before doing so?)
Thanks
No since in going all the way back to stock to test it out. Have you by chance tried a different HDMI cable. You might have a faulty connection or even a dirty connection will make it loose its connection. You may also want to check to see if the TV has a default native setting set. The gtablet will display a image like a PC I believe. Will have to connect it up again to see what res. the device puts out at default.
Alright find the link up solution. I tried different ways of connection all with failure to display on my TV with the exception of this. Try it and you will be satisfied.
1st. Place you dock near your TV with power cord and HDMI cable both connected. Don't connect other end of HDMI cable to TV just yet.
2nd. Have tablet turned on and fully booted up. Then place tablet on dock and leave the dock clock displayed.
3rd. Turn on TV and set the input to the HDMI connection you are about to connect to. Then connect HDMI to that input that is in TV and the display should reflect the device.
Let me know if this works. Thanks.

Hi, yes I tried 2 different cables, different ports, cleaned up (blow air) into the TV and and dock ports (dock is brand new never used from a year+ ago)
I couldn't find a default native setting on the TV.
Really sucks that there is an awesome ROM for the gtablet and I can't use it on the bigger screen, intention was to watch Netflix and movies, besides reading
The tablet is one of those projects that never happened and when I finally manage to get it going this happens...:crying:
Read the addon that I posted. It will connect if you connect it in that order.

Hi Nobe, it still doesn't work. I just don't get it.
TV recognizes the connection (shows as plugged-in) but says no signal.
Unfortunately monitor is not as advanced as a TV, simply says no signal.
Faulty dock? It charges fine
Thanks
Went to stock, and image shows up fine on TV
Is there something I could change, DPI,res? on the current SmoOth install (have backups) that could potentially fix the issue?
Thanks

I keep mine at 160dpi. The issue is that you have to connect everything to the dock before connecting it up to the TV. For some strange reason the dock settings doesn't recognize the connections being made. The dock works fine it is the drivers I believe that are kernel related. If you power up the dock with the HDMI connected to it, then place tablet on the dock, then connect the HDMI to the TV's input with the TV on and turned to that input. Then it should display onto the TV without issues. Done this multiple times when this came up and this was the only way for me to get the dock to display the output of the tablet.

The thing is I did exactly as you said multiple times to be sure.
Using SmoOth image does not come up
Restored to stock ROM and image shows up fine
I'm going to try a fresh SmoOth install and see how it goes or is there any way to check the drivers or make adjustments to it?
Thanks
Any advice on checking the drivers?
Thanks
Actually the drivers are there and working the way they are suppose to be. I do believe that it might in the way it is communicating with the TV still. I am currently working on something that might help out, but I want to test it fully before suggesting it since most everyone doesn't use this feature.

It is really odd that doing the same process on the stock rom works.
Thanks a lot for the follow-up Nobe
Curious if anyone found a solution to this problem? I too have the exact same issue with my Gtab even after trying the solution posted with different cables and such. Stock rom works fine though.
I'm wondering if Nobe found something
I bought this adapter from Samsung when I first got my Galaxy S3 and it's been and still working great on my TV.. I just purchase a new TV and it refuses to detect the signal from the adapter. So I tried on another TV, and same thing, it doesn't work... I came back to my old TV, and it works! I am not sure what's going on and how it works on one TV and not others? I have tried on 4 TVs and only 1 works...
Does anyone have a similar issue and have any idea why? I want to know.
Thanks.
PS: I searched and couldn't find any thing related, it's either didn't work at all or just works.
Do you have a I9300/ I9305 ???
jje
If the TV is new then it should have the MHL circuit included, your phone can't connect to it without it. Every TV I've ever tried has worked perfectly, there are no settings to adjust -it should just work.
Only other suggestions are, tried a different usb lead/power supply to the hdmi lead? Reboot the phone while plugged into the TV? Test another phone or lead on the samevTV.
When I connect my z2 to my TV by mhl my tablet can no longer find my WiFi, it finds plenty of others just not mine.
As soon as I unplug it from the TV it connects to my WiFi straight away.
I have tried it on 3 TV's, the same thing happens every time
Any help is much appreciated
