Change the ringtone to something else. You won't find anything as that version of Android was never an official version and they just jacked it together

You would have to track down some device trees and some kernel source for the device. I'll be honest. You might be better off teaching it and getting a different device. There are soo many knock off devices that you have to be very careful. Could try returning it to where you got it from

Hello, been looking around and this is getting confusing now lol.
My DELL:
Android 2.2
Baseband: GAUSB1A131921-EU
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build:12792
So as i've said i've been looking around. Still not sure exactly what i have to do, i have the PDF telling me what to get and i have the steakdroid mod etc but unsure wether i should attempt to flash it.
I've noticed a lot about the baseband. What will happen if i change this? How do i go about it and what is the right one for the UK as I mostly see AT&T and US users talking about their streaks here.
Ok so that question over my next one is about the build number. Do these matter much with the newer ROMs or can i just go ahead with whatever is posted now?
Sorry if this seems stupid but the information is sporadic and unclear to me and this is my first time with Android.
-Sean
Aight so, i semi-bricked it at first, got the dell logo with flashing LEDs. didn't panic
managed to get clockwork on it and installed Streakdroid which is working awesomely.
One question and one problem. Should i upgrade the baseband? What would the advatages be?
The problem is the email client (the one ported from the galaxy tab) keeps crashing. Any way to fix this?
-Sean
EDIT: Happenes when i try to make any changes, update it or use it in any way. Also when it tries to refresh itself. Can't uninstall it either. grrr.
Hi, I'm new to this website and was wondering if you can help me. Ive got an android phone with FROYO 2.2. Ive search all over the internet for custom ROMs and updates for my phone but no luck. By the way, my phone is called Cherry Mobile Candy.
About phone:
Model Number: L102
Android Version: 2.2.1
Baseband Version: MAUI.10A.W10.48.MP.V5.F1, 2011/01/27 16:48
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9
[email protected]#1
Mon Oct 17 17:06:18 CST 2011
Build Number: L102-M24.Cherry.l3.BT.FM.WF.42.V006
If I'm missing something please feel free to suggest anything. I really want to try out some custom roms for my phone or updates to boost it up. Thank you.
I don't think you can find any custom ROM for this device, it's a low category Android Phone. But the best quality of Android it's his portability, so you can try to give some informations on porting Android for this device.
Yes your'e right its a low end phone. What benefits i can get if do that Android porting your'e saying?
so can i get an update with this phone?
Porting is a sort of manual building of a ROM for your device. For example my Gio support Gingerbread but not ICS officially, but there are guys that are working on the source of ICS and build the ROM for my device.
Android is open - source, so anyone can do this, whit the right skills.
Hey men, i really need your help!!. So this is how it goes,
Ive Downloaded Rom Manager. ive explored all of its contents, and i bumped to this Boot into recovery option. I tap it without knowing what will it do to my phone. Then the recovery screen appears, i scrolled down to clear all caches and then i choose yes, my phone turns on with no problem, But the thing is when i slide the unlock panel to unlock my phone, i just see a complete black screen, with the notification bar,(with time and the signal indicator) im not sure what to do with this.
As i search through the internet, my phone is not yet bricked, It can boot up to recovery mode, and the test mode. The dumbest decision ive made though, i did not make any backup of my system.
can you help me,sir? thank you,
Try factory resetting the phone.

Hi! So I've been having a bit of trouble with my Note II. I had a few custom roms on it before, and I unlocked the bootloader, but when I put the device back to stock ROM via Odin, a plus sign (+) now appears in front of any phone number with incoming calls, and it prevents me from being able to call a person back through the recent call log, as it will attempt to use Assisted Dialing (the number will appear like this: +9545555555). Has anyone else had this problem, or can someone tell me how to fix this? Even when I switch back to custom ROMs the problem still persists now. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Also, I am using the phone with a GSM carrier if that's important information.

This is a problem because you are not using the proper handset. the + stands for the international. code used to call other countries. TO fix this you either need to buy a note 2 made for your carrier ( ie, verizon) or find a custom rom ported from your carrier.

well for me i encountered the problem of not hearing the caller from the app like viber, kakaotalk etc. when i also updated to the latest firmware, but i did not bother because i did not have any problems with the my ordinary phone calls.
i have updated to a different firmware with the higher build than before, unfortunately i havent tried or tested the mentioned problem with the new firmware.
i'll be back when i do or if someone calls me with the apps.
Update:
still i encounter the problem. i think the only solution as of now is just revert back to the previous firmware (no galaxy gear compatibility update)

hmm honestly i dont know what stock rom / firmware specifically or maybe the I9152XWUAMJ2 firmware would be the one as it is the october build.
try to get that firmware and then download odin to flash your phone back to that firmware
if you are not familiar in using odin and flashing a firmware / stock rom, just try to scan the forums for that simple guide.
also i never did went back to the old firmware, i just let it go for a while and hope that either a new firmware update would fix it or the app side instead would.
Hello,
So I bought a HTC One a couple months back, it came with a custom ROM installed on it (Xposed I think)
I want to get back to the original firmware, but I need some help in doing that.
Much appreciated:3

Without knowing the carrier and update the phone is on, we're flying blind trying to help. Xposed is a special app, and not the rom itself. Please go to Settings > About Phone > Software Info and let us know the Build Version and original carrier (or if it is an unlocked International model).

Gotcha. Alright, well in my experience, the ARHD series of roms are pretty solid, but if you want to get back to stock then you will need to use the RUU from EE. You should be able to find everything you need from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
