[Q] Brick Through Fonter - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys
I'm new so I don't know where to put this but I bought a new Tablet from Gigaset recently.
I googled around looking for a root and found one. I rooted it, then installed the Xposed
Installer. This all worked fine, so I downloaded Fonter. I changed the Font a few times and
it worked fine. Then I enabled expert mode in the settings, so that it would not only
replace the normal font, but also italic and bold fonts. Then I restarted it, and now it won't
boot. The startup sound plays, and my custom bootlogo appears, and then it never moves
on. I tried using Funtdo and Oneclick unbrick, but neither worked. I have unlocked the
bootloader, but I haven't installed any custom roms. It runs on Android 4.2.2.
Any Help would be gladly appreciated.:fingers-crossed:
Thanks a lot

[Q] Rom Toolbox and other apps changes nothing for me...?

hey everyone, new here to the forums but have been reading guides, watching videos, on other forums for the last couple months. I just got an HTC One on T mobile yesterday, got it unlocked and rooted with out any problems. One of the things I really wanted to mess with was some of the visuals of the notification bar, boot animation, and lock screen. For some reason with whenever I attempt to change anything with rom toolbox ( In this case anything to do with the notification bar, or boot animation), it 'installs', but then nothing. It doesn't change, I thought "herp, maybe I need to reboot for changes to take effect", but to no avail. I had looked on some sites and there was the possibility of problems with the boot animation, going into the root browser, switching zip files, etc. I did that, still nothing.
As for the status bar changes in toolbox pro, sometimes it quickly 'installs' does nothing, then when i try to hit reboot via the app it errors. other times it tries to install for multiple seconds, then two error popups come up, one showing what appears to be russian, the other saying "Unfortunetly, res/drawable-xxhdpi/icon_launcer_copy.png has stopped.
And lastly for C Locker, it technically works, but despite me choosing the option for a custom background, and picking a seperate image file, it just uses a blown up version of my unlocked background screen.
Why does nothing want to work for me? Checked the forums, checked multiple different websites forums, checked youtube, even checked places such as /g/ and /w/, both of which feature ongoing 'phone threads'. Nothing.

its probably because your stock rooted and system is write protected. you need a kernel with the system write mod

Would I be correct in presuming a non-stock OEM (cyanogenmod, paranoid, etc. ) would fix said problem? I was hoping to not have to replace the OEM, being new to this it took a lot of courage for me to unlock, put on twrp and root. I am pretty paranoid I am going to break my brand new device, haha. Looks like I have to gather my courage heh.
Thank you for the insight, it is much appreciated.

you can install a custom sense rom from the international forum. i have installed them all and most use aroma and aroma freezes a lot. so if you want to avoid the aroma heart attack download and install rayglobe as its the only one that doesnt use aroma. i wouldnt advise you not to install a aosp rom unless your ok with doing without a lot of camera and sense features

[Q] [HELP] ZTE Kis Pro - RO Orange Zali problem

Hi xda-developers. I'm iDatFuuzy and i have this little (huge) problem. So, I was messing with some ROMs on my phone (Orange Zali RO) when I install an messed up boot animation (the actual messed up part is the resolution i think). Then I was like <OK. Reboot should help.> So I rebooted and I simply booted to android but with one problem: everything is INVISIBLE. I still can push buttons and stuff and I can hear if someone calls me but I can't see a thing ! I then tried to factory reset from the recovery, but that didn't fix, since it only formatted my Data and my cache folders. After that, I tried to re-install the Stock-ROM and I had another problem then: After verifying update package, at the half it says this: Installation Aborted. I have downloaded the OFFICIAL ROM from ztedevices.com and I have not modified it in any sort of way. So, can I fix this somehow ? I tried messing with my updater-script without any help. BTW before this happened (about 5months) I rooted my phone so THAT is not the reason for this.

Neo V Crashing

Hi, If this thread is in the wrong forum, please move it.
I have a rooted Xperia Neo V (2.3.4 gingerbread). I started to do some changes to build.prop. I mistakenly changed the SDK version to 16 (although the original was 10 I think) and restarted. upon restarting,Google play and SuperUser crashed. I tried to launch some other apps but they crashed too. I could install ICS apps but they crashed as well.. only some small apps work including the stock apps. Now I can't reverse the change because whenever I open build.prop editor, it asks for root but SU crashes denying it..I tried factory reset,Unrooting and rooting again but same problem..I tried adb pull/push and successfully got the file but I can't send it back because the system is read/write protected or something...to change the read/write thing I need Su permission which I already can't get..I tried installing CWM recovery but now when the phone reboots a blue light flashes for some time and if I press a button(e.g volume down) the phone is stuck there until I take the battery out.The phone only boots up successfully If I don't touch it while it is booting up.
I have a backup of build.prop that I made with Romtoolbox.
What should I do now? Need some help.
Bump?
Help is needed Guys!
Seriously nobody on Xda forums can help me?

A font/root problem (personal issue - xperia z1)

Hi
Just to cut to the chase
I have a xperia z1 c6902
I rooted my phone via kingoapp pc
And it was successful! :-?
And then,after restarting my phone
My phone wasnt rooted or at least kingo superuser app said so
So i downloaded the kingoapp android and rooted the phone all over again
And again it was successful
And after checking with 2 apps (kingo superuser and root check) i was sure it was rooted
So i used iFont to change my phone's font and there was no problem
Now when i want to change it again
It gives me a code 7 problem or something
I tried reseting to the factory font which didn't work
I reinstalled the app and it didnt work
So i asked around and people told me to install the Fontfix app
So I did, and now when i want to change the font it says ur phone isn't rooted
I checked again and those 2 apps that I mentioned said the phone is rooted
And now i dont know what to do
This font that I've installed is incredibly aweful
What should I do to get rid of this font!!!
