Hi,
I have big problem. When i oc my phone on stock JB (V20B Europe open), phone was rebooted and after reboot stay on logo LG. I can get to cwm, i restore my backups, wipe all, try flash custom roms and nothings, same problem. KDZ shows me, that "Port(USB or Serial) not found" on all PCs where i try flash kdz, before this problem R&D tool works fine. I try reinstalling all drivers, usb drivers, adb drivers,lg drivers and nothing... I have unlocked bootloader, fastboot. Adb finds my phone only in recovery and when i try some commands, write <Waiting for device>, adb drivers are installed and work fine for other devices. Thnx for answers.........

Hard reset : Turn off your phone, press and hold Vol-, the home key, and the power for 8 seconds.
If you don't have stock jb backed up you can probably use jb cwm backup from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136204
i have an lg optimus l9 p769.
it was rooted, overclocked to 1240, init.d enabled, various tweaks, and was running 4.1.2
but i wanted more. so i decided to try to unlock my bootloader to try out some roms,
i used "[Guide]Unlock Bootloader for Noobs P769" by "carloswii5" im going to tell you step by step what i did and what happened...
i downloaded the zip that supposedly contained all the files i needed and off i went.
i enabled usb debugging and put the connection to "lg software"
i immediately flashed the v20 kdz, so far so good. it booted with the mirrored image and wonky touchscreen
i rechecked that usb debugging was on and check the connection for "lg software" and all was good.
connected to wifi, i opened the browser, went to facebook and browsed a while, then i let it sit for 35 minutes exactly.
i got to step 5
5) Ok now that the 30 minutes or more have passed you need to go to the downloaded files and move
the "Android" folder to your "C:\" drive "dont worry just has adb files" now open a command prompt and
type the following
"cd c:\Android"
"adb devices" to make sure your phone is connected a list of numbers should appear
"adb reboot oem-unlock" and your phone should then reboot
then the lg logo will appear then a mirrored confirmation to unlock bootloader just press
the "Volume Up" button and it will confirm it then hold the power button until it reboots

the zip i downloaded didnt come with "android" folder, so i used an adb from a different folder.
it recognized it under "adb devices" so i typed "adb reboot oem-unlock"
this is where it got weird, it rebooted, but there was no confirmation too unlock the bootloader. it just simply restarted. so i tried again.
nothing.
i thought " well hey, i didnt unlok my bootloader so no harm done, ill just flash v10g back and start back from there."
no precautions, i just flashed the kdz. phone restarted. still had a mirrored image, loaded to the boot screen animation and got stuck,
i read that a hard reset might fix that, so i tried it, but its as if the phone isnt recognizing the buttons at all.
my phone will, however, still go into "software update" but the offline flashing tool says the phone is not connected, but my laptop identifies i
a "omap" device, this is where im stuck.
cant flash any kdz, cant hard reset, cant boot pass animation, will anybody help me with this issue?? pleasee!!!! ive never had problems following directions as far as flashing, rooting, etc. etc. im familiar with basic aspects of android
You shouldn't have flash it back to 10x version that causes bootloop. Maybe try online recovery lg tool or flashing bootloader and uboot, there should be contained instructions how to fix drivers too.

How to fix partion problem !!!
After countlss hours of messing with the LG P769 This is how i got into S/W mode to work !
ASSUMING you know how to install fastboot drivers there are instructions on the forum ...so follow those guide note fastboot drivers work best on windows 7 windows 8 was giving me hard time ...
1.install fastboot drivers
2.run lelus script at the same time hold vol+ button once the script shows the OMAP device close the script and immediately put the battery back in .The LG phone will boot into S/W mode !
Make sure you write down your imei or serial number AND make sure battery is fully charged . then
Now simply use the LG software tool or the KDZ offline flasher look around the forum for how to guides
Thats it

Then try enter in lelus fastboot mode, ad then flash x-loader, uloader, boot.img and recovery.img from stock rom for your device type model. Then repeat steps 1 and 2
Where can I find the lelus script?

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but oh well...
Your procedure doesn't seem to work with my device. Just to make sure we are using the same driver packages, can you post a link to the fastboot driver you have successfully used?
My L9 is always showing this "partition doesn't exist" error message, no matter what I try. Lelus's script seems to do the job and the phone is detected as a fastboot device, and can even be detected in LG Flash Tool (using a 910K cable), but flashing will stop after a little over 2 minutes, because the phone disconnects. During all of my attempts, the screen stays black.
Any hint?

Then you need a Technician with a Octopus Box to repair your partition table...

Can you boot into recovery? We now have a custom recovery for locked bootloaders (and CM roms). If you can get into recovery, I would try some adb commands to mount the partitions.
No, no recovery. Just to make sure that I'm not doing it wrong, what is the key combination to boot to recovery?
I have also tried:
Code:
fastboot boot some_recovery_image.img
It says ok, but the phone just hangs at the black screen and becomes undetectable as a fastboot device, until I pull the battery. So, unless the some_recovery_image.img is unsuitable for my P760 (which may be!), there is something seriously wrong I think.
Or maybe I can try the same command with the custom recovery for bootloader locked phones... Where can I find it?

Your EMMC partition is wiped or fried... you really need a JTAG service or a Box like octopus because your L9 is Hard-bricked...
Thanks for your opinion. Yet, I still want to hear from others.
I'm running into more and more problems with the L9 as their me grows.
-Fastboot doesn't work under Windows 8.1 and 10, but under the now obsolete(for me) Windows 7, unlike my other devices, which are fine with Win 10.
-ADB seems to work, but requiring the device to be still able to boot.
-I always boot to recovery from within Android as long as the L9 ain't bricked. After a failed rom install, during which the sd card failed(could no longer write or be formatted afterwards, the last time stamps of files and folders were set during the failed install) I discovered a problem with TWRP(Artas182x's and Edwin's), which may have been present since a long time: Trying to invoke TWRP via keypress will brick the device!
So, if my P760 no longer boots, there's only download mode available, sort of the final line of defense.
-There's sort of a trick if even download mode fails: After a failed attempt unplug phone, force switch-off, if the phone is in brick state. Then switch on, force switch-off again, and only then attempt download mode again. And have patience while holding down the vol button, it might take up to 20 seconds for the phone to switch itself on into download mode. (A single forced powerdown will cause Fastboot NOT to work the next time)
But I'm absolutely clueless about the recovery issue, for now TWRP is semi-working, can only be accessed via Android, as long as the phone is fully working.
W/o Fastboot, I now have flashed stock rom several times and rooted it with Kingo rooter just to be able to run Flashify to install TWRP. If Flashify is the culprit for the TWRP issues, I could need a recommendation for a better working app.

Tried OMAP flasher ? It needs memory configuration file in order to work with our device
No, I didn't. I have sold the phone for spares.
Inviato dal mio LG-D855 utilizzando Tapatalk
I never needed the OMAP drivers and tools. As they are ancient, they will probably make even more problems with newer Windows versions.
I could by no means invoke Fastboot on this device with Windows 8.1 and 10, Seven worked. So you had to go for Download Mode instead to recover to stock rom, then root with the Kingo tool, then install TWRP via Rashr or Flashify, the most time consuming way to recover from the frequent bricks.
And the LG Flash Tool 2014 always needed several attempts to get the job done. The latest official recovery tool from LG works in D/L Mode, but will always download the rom image anew.
so as i try to get a rom in my phone i just had the bootloader unlock and when i went to adb reboot the phone did not came back to no life no matter what i did. i would sw reboot or recovery reboot and nothing my computer recognizes is at omap and then disapears i have a MetroPCS 769 which is simmilar to T mobile on the phone it states as 760 thanks for the help also i am new to this

Follow this Guide my friend...
Hi,
I earlier had cyanogen mode installed in my lg l9 P765. I also had clockwork mode recovery installed for doing the same. Recently i saw a post to flash android lolipop to my phone by artas in http://artas182x.tk/android-projects/android-5-0-lg-optimus-l9-aosp/. I installed TWRP . But since i couldnt proceed to enter TWRP recovery, i just tried using `reboot recovery` via terminal. This got my phone bricked as i cannot access my device using ADB or Fastboot. All i see when restarting is the LG logo. And all i can access is the software upgrade mode. Since i had came across such a situation earlier and overcame it using the method to flash new rom offline, i followed the guide given in forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344 by @cmahendra. But i always got the process stopping at 15% telling that the phone and usb arent connected. I couldnt download any of the roms listed in the same page as the links seems broken. Is there a possible way to get out of this issue?
Thanks
HI. Do you already solved the problem?, If not. Check you have correctly installed the drivers of L9 and using the "LG Flash Tool" ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190 ) Install your KDZ... if it shows any errors during the process, allowed to continue in the background, do not close the error window.
