Do you have root?
You can't fix it without rooting

[Q] LG L9 P769 Bootloader not Unlocking
This will require some practice if your screen is already wonky, so patience grasshopper...
OK, I followed a process and got my phone back to square one, but also rooted and it goes as follows:
Verify both LG SW Update mode is sellected in PC connections settings, and that USB debugging is also selected
1 flash V20D_00.kdz (via the Up TestEX mod2_marwin application)
2 master reset
3 re-root device (by this time, you should be familiar with the correct touch locations on the wonky touch screen); LgPWN.apk used
5 device successfully restarted without further human interaction (if this does not happen, device is not successfully rooted; possibly try another rom in the same V20 designation
5 install SU
6 confirm phone set to LG SW mode in PC Connections setting
7 run Lelus firmware fix:
8 wait for device to promt for SU access and allow
9 On the command line: (always run as administrator)
cat /sdcard/external_sd/v6.bin > /sys/devices/virtual/input/lge_touch/firmware
reboot
10 device restored to original stock
It's not bootloader unlocked yet, but better than near softbrick...and still rooted.

Ive run adb reboot oem-unlock many, many times with no success; device just restarts. I've gotten CWM installed but still cannot flash roms. Its rooted, carrier unlocked, and otherwiseready to go; but no luck. I've updated the adm device log with the LG device identifier hex that I found in a link to google's adm help and troubleshooting section, and the device is recognized by adm again, but the command only restarts the device. It is interesting to note that I now get the flashing nav buttons when it boots however. If I hold down the vol down button it'll boot in CWM recovery, but holding the vol up button seems to do nothing. Any clues?

The cwm with the blinking lights at boot is a second init recovery (bootstrap). Meaning it was made for locked bootloader. It not a true custom recovery. I can't help you with the unlock, to many unknown stuff. It has only worked for some.

I decided early this week that i want to have a custom ROM on my phone, so i followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277639 and i managed to get the eu kdz with root (hex edited bin) on my phone so I will be able to unlock the bootloader, so after waiting half an hour as instructed, I typed the command adb reboot oem-unlock but the phone just booted normally and i didn't see the prompt for unlocking the bootloader, so i thought that maybe it was because i didn't have the T-Mobile radio installed, so I installed the recovery installer and clicked install recovery, and it said install successful, but when i hit reboot recovery it just booted normally and did not boot into recovery, and when going back into the app when the boot was completed i noticed that it said recovery not installed.
now just to make things easier with the whole mirrored mess, i thought that installing the touch drivers for my P769 might help, so i followed these instructions
enter the following commands but before you must put the v6.bin file to your external sd card it is in the downloaded files after you have put it to the root
of your external sd card enter the following commands
"cd c:\Android"
"adb shell"
"su" when you enter this go to your phone and accept the su request
"cat /sdcard/external_sd/v6.bin > /sys/devices/virtual/input/lge_touch/firmware"
after you entered the last command you need to close that command promt and open
another one and type the following commands
"cd c:\Android"
"adb shell"
"su"
"reboot" then it will reboot and the touch will corectly work remember the mirrored problem will continue

but i guess that was meant only for the T-Mobile kdz and not for the EU one that i had installed because when i rebooted the phone the touch screen wasn't working at all.... so i thought just to flash back the original T-Mobile kdz and then flash the touch drivers again, but i couldn't change the usb mode to software mode since the touch screen isn't working, and when going into SW update mode by pressing vol up and connecting the usb, the update process stops at 15% saying my phone isn't connected...
so at this point i pretty much gave up in root i just want my phone to work normally again... :crying:
can someone please tell me what to do to get the touch working, or some other way to get back to the T-Mobie kdz?
THANKS:laugh:

1. Please read http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2411265
or
2. Use LG mobile support tool to recover your phone
- Boot you phone in S/W upload mode. To do this, turn off your phone, take off battery, hold down vol- button while re-connect ubs cable wait about 5-8 sec. After S/W update screen appear insert you battery. (You may need to install LG usb driver first)
- Open LG mobile support. (if it's not installed, search for it and download from lg site, http://tool.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/client...2CAppSetup.exe)
- LG mobile support should show your phone info
- Select Customer Support > Recover
- And wait for program to download and flash your phone (1 - 2 hours)

Hi all!!
Yesterday i tried to install android 4.4 but the procces didnt succeed, it stuck at. LG boot logo. So i decided to restore my backup in ckockworkmod,it started the process then stopped at the phase "restoring /system" . I waited about a half hour, and because it didnt take the much time before, i took out the battery. I read somewhere that formatting the system partition in cwm could help, so i did that. Then i retried restoring my backup. It stuck at the same phase. Later i downloaded the official kdz, and decided to flash it. I could bring the phone in update mode, but the process stopped at 15% at lg update manager.
At the moment i can get into clockworkmod, but cant restore /system . The update mode is also okay. I dont know that fastboot works or not. I havent tried it yet. Please help me thanks in advance
@trapistasajt
You will need to get fastboot working and use lelus's fastboot script to flash the "u" and "x" loaders for the device and then perform the offline or online flash
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292828
Also as you found out you cannot flash custom roms without ulocking the bootloader first and you cannot use the L9 CWM bootstrap recovery for Locked Bootloaders, too flash custom roms.
try this online flash methode with B2CAppSetup
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
i had the same probleme and i fixed it .
My bootloader is unlocked. I tried the fast boot method, but it doesnt go further than "Waiting for omap...." . So, i couldnt go into fastboot (probably my fault). Yesterday i sent it to the service. If they notice that my varranty is void (because of the unlocked bl) and send it back, i will try it once more. I would be very thankful if someone could write a noob friendly-fastboot guide. As i read, lots of people are struggling with the same problem. Thanks in advance!!!
You have to use LGMobile Support Tool (Install drivers from it first) Then enter in download mode conecting the phone to pc pressing vol+ and the rest its automatic.

I dont know about fastboot.
LG Mobile support tool let you download the correct drivers. Then connect your phone while u keep pressing vol+ and it enters in SW Upgrade mode. Then just click "additional features" and "upgrade error recovery"

It shows something about firmware ir will restore. Ir will flash the latestbfirmware from original carrier release.
For example i actuallybhave v20L but my original carrier only released v10a. It will restore to v10a
None of them works, other ideas?
This fastboot method worked for me in 5 min, pay close attention to the instructions and it works!
http://androidforums.com/optimus-l9-all-things-root/807569-guide-security-error-fix.html
Spent days with LG update tool which if you read the log has no url for files to download.
Good luck!
I got my phone back from the service. They didnt repair it, because my varranty is void. I tried the methods mentioned above.
First, I tried flashing kdz, (with the solution for post-jb problem), but i couldn't get into S/W mode, which was available before the service.
Second, since i couldn't load S/W mode, the LG upgrader wasn't successfull, too
Third, fastboot still not work.
I am sure, that im not the only person with this problem, since it happened during installing @artas182x 's JB 4.4 rom. Please @artas182x or somebody write a noob-friendly guide/suggestion which may help to unbrick my beloved phone. Thanks!!!!!

Hey everyone, so I woke up Saturday morning to a wonderful surprise, and am just getting around to letting everyone know and maybe throw their suggestions my way!
Device: Tmo LG V10, H901
Recovery: [TWRP] Recovery: V10_H901_pplus [V3.0.2-0] [08/16/2016]
ROM: [ROM] [STOCK] [H901] V10_H901_V20J_Stock_Custom_2e [08/15/2016]; V10_H901_V20J_Stock_Custom_2e-signed
Root: Systemless Instructions - How to - 08/08/2016
Xposed: Systemless Xposed, see root guide above
Friday night, I was using my T-Mobile V10 like normal. No recent modifications, no new apps, adjustments, etc... Plug it into the charger and go to bed for the night. No issues right?
I wake up Saturday and the screen is blank. The phone isn't responding to the power button, so I hold the Vol-Down+Vol-Up+Power down to reboot it.
The phone won't reboot. So I pull the battery, and throw it back in.
Phone hits the LG logo, yey!
But it never moves from the LG logo
So at this point, I try booting into Recovery (TWRP) and the phone seems to not be responding to my button commands. It hits the boot logo and never does anything else.
I tried to boot into Download mode, nothing, just sitting on the logo.
After messing with the phone, with and without a USB cable attached to my laptop, I finally get the device into Fastboot.
In fastboot, I can run commands, but since I am on V20J, I am unable to flash or boot TWRP
I was also able to get into download mode when plugged into my PC only.
So down below, I will go over all the stuff I have tried.
Modes I can enter-
Fastboot
Download Mode (USB)
Stuff I tried-
LG Bridge Update
Update says it succeeds
Still does not boot
When I reconnect LG Bridge again, it says an error occurred and wants to update again
Direct .img flash via Fastboot
Using the steps from this post
Unable to flash, FAILED (remote:unknown command) due to V20J I believe
Flash V20J .tot via LGUP
It seems to flash successfully, but the phone still doesn't boot
So I left for the T-Mobile store Saturday, phone not booting, just stuck on the logo.
They are Warrantying the phone, so I am just waiting on a back-ordered replacement now.
EDIT: The Plot Thickens....
So I thought I would fire up the phone this morning, maybe try some other updates/flashes again, maybe something will happen.
Now I cant even get into Download Mode (USB) anymore.
It shows Download Mode on the screen, then the phone just reboots.
Additionally, on first boot I received some sort of error on the screen, but it went away so fast I couldn't read it.
Now I can't get that error to come back for the life of me...
I am just so confused now. The phone has a mind of its own.
My brother had 2 V10's that did that. Replaced under warranty.
Exact thing happened to me back on pre mm.. I got into twrp after many many many tries.. Flashed an old back up and phone booted. I was able to get into the phone long enough to relock bootloader before it started the same crap... Warrantied it out and that was that..
Yikes. Making me scared once this warranty is up.... Would hate to just lose a phone randomly for no reason!

You can relock via fastboot using the command
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Use the below command to check your current status
Code:
fastboot getvar unlocked
I believe it even says these commands on the screen when in fastboot.
