[Q] The Nexus 9 is great, but... - Nexus 9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

...it seems like none of the hacking tools I used on the N7 are working on the N9?
GameCIH, SB Gamehacker, GameKiller, Freedom, ... nothing works on my rooted N9.
Are there any tools out there, that are working on the N9? I guess that the tools that I've listed above simply aren't available for 64bit processors?
Cheers,
S.

Nowhere do I see a rule disallowing them http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81 Lucky Patcher isn't allowed for obvious reasons, but these apps simply modify data in apps that you have (hopefully) legally acquired. It's sad that they don't work, because you can do some fun stuff with them, not just cheat to get a few imaginary points in some game.

[Q] Root Store (cydia for Android)

I have a question regarding a store for all root users, almost like cydia on iOS devices. Is there anything like that? I have searched but have not found anything.
If no one else have found anything I am considering developing an app that have all root apps/tweaks/themes in one app. Altough I need help since I only am an amateur designer.
Questions or Problems Should Not Be Posted in the Development Forum
Please Post in the Correct Forums
Moving to Q&A
It would be kind of pointless. Not all tweeks, mods, hacks, themes, ROM's or even apps are compatible from device to device.
But the store can recognize the device and show the appropriate mods to that device! Just like market place
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
The marketplace does not recognize the device, it just recognizes what the device is not. So creating an app that has to recognize every android device, or compiling every mod and setting it up to only recognize a single, or a few devices would take ALOT of work. The rate in which tweaks, mods and phones come out, it would turn into more than a full time job.
My project
As you read this I am creating a cydia app for android. In starting of for only the Galaxy S as this is the phone I own but if you want me to include another device just leave a comment

I am somewhat familiar with cydia for my iPod touch. I am brand new to Android and have been looking for something like it.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with...hopefully it will work for my Android version of the iPod touch - the Galaxy S WiFi 4.0.

Can you do froyo devices?
The closest thing i can think of that is similar to what your looking for is rom manager. Its free in the market and there's a paid key you can download from the market as well to unlock advanced features. This will detect the phone that you have and you can download CWM, roms, kernals, and themes as well as back and restore nandroids. The only thing this cant do is download free paid apps (warez). If you want to find these there are numerous sites. Google is your friend. Though i don't recommend this because developers deserve to be paid for there hard work. Hope this helps!!!!!
My progress of the project is in the i9000 apps and games section somewhere. How it will work is (the app downloads the rom in a zip and you boot into recovery and do the rest manually, now I know that seems stupid but this means tweaks can run on any device and firmware) PM me if you want the upcoming alpha version. thanks. Btw I'm calling it twiny!

[Q] Blackberry playbook android porting

Blackberry playbook price have been downsized by 50% so its a great buy only if android porting can be done, can any of our port android for it...... it would be great........
If you're asking if Android applications can be ported to the BlackBerry Playbook, then the answer is yes.
Research in Motion recently released OS 2.0 which allows for Android emulation on the Playbook. I believe it emulates Android 2.3.3. Using their freely available tools, you can convert your application apk to their bar format and it will function correctly on the Playbook.
However, there are some limitations to what Android abilities you can port. For example I heard you cannot port applications with ads. I believe there is a list of cans and cannots you can perform on OS 2.0.
I hope this answered your question.
Yes you can port android apps very easily using rims online tools, I did so myself to win a playbook. You can't use admob ads in your apps but I think other ad providers are supported just not google.
When you use their online tools they will tell you if your apps are compatible.

No it isn't possible yet but it might be in future, if it is you will almost certainly find out first at the crackberry forums as xda is not really pb oriented and its the crackberry guys who are looking into porting different operating systems to pb.

Mod edit;
Post removed and thread closed.
Warez or questions about warez is not allowed on XDA-Developers.
Please respect the forum rules, thank you!
This would be warez then. This is against the rules, you won't get any advice here.

Would have been totally different if you didn't tell everyone you are using a pirated application. People like you are the reason android doesn't get nice things.

Don't care about windows. Plus we are talking about 300$ for an os vs a few bucks for a app.
Also, Jail breaking the iPhone was deemed legal by the us federal government.
What you are doing is illegal regardless.

Hi,
they(app develper) should make their app in such a way , that can't be crack, it is their security hole,
at least they(app develper) will learn from cracker, how to tighten security on their next update!
it's a lesson for them, they should use this as opprtunity to maximize their app security and reliability,

The Google licensing system is the thing that's easy to crack. Google should fix it, not the developers. Titanium backup itself has "Guru" out something I believe, which checks the license.
But it's a long time since I read this thing somewhere, so I don't know if they still gold.

If Google licensing system is the thing that's easy to crack then we can't expect nice things on android

Software is man made. There will always be a crack, or a hole. Nothing is 100%. This is why its illegal to do what you are doing.
Are you sure you are on the correct website? Shouldn't there be some hardware website for tools to post?

As stated, Warez aren't allowed, but i'll give a small hint.
Google, app name . apk.
Now remember that devs work extremely hard for apps they develop, so be nice and buy the app you enjoy.
As already stated above, discussing warez on XDA is a big no no.

[REQUEST][BOUNTY]Proper j2me Emulator

The title says about all there is to be said. I think it is high time android has a proper Java mobile (j2me) emulator. I know about jbed, but it doesn't run on 4.x, and lacked essential things such as soft key emulation. I am personally willing to pledge at least $20 to anyone who makes the emulator, and I am requesting that others who would find this app useful do similar. Let's get started!
I've never actually done a bounty before, so advice is appreciated.
So am I the only one who thinks this is a good idea?
Sent from my YP-G1 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
this is a GREAT idea. I can't believe there is no java emulator for our top android phones...
android is so powerful and I really would like this kind of thing.
I would love to be able to play my games from older phones still :/
this is something I would pay for
I would also pledge at least 20$ for a workin emulator.
On a note....my wifes XPeria Pro seems to run java file...at least those from the sony store. The phones running 4.01.
Sure I would throw in $20 for a proper emulator.
Have you tried Netmite App Runner? I hear good things. It converts Jar/Jad files into APK.
