I've got a small problem since I'm running the 5.x.x rom's......currently running the latest echoe and it also has got the same problem (for me it is a problem).
The powercase doesn't charge the phone ,as with kitkat rom's it did.
Is there any (deep) settings that I have to change as of anyone knows about.
Greetings Mike

I have the latest echoe rom loaded on my Note 3 and am using the Samsung flip cover with wireless charging and it charges same as with KK roms.
I made no changes that I know of. I remember non genuine flip covers had problems when kitkat came out.
Cheers
Al
I've got an power pack unit built in a hardcase with 4 led lights (to see how full it is) and a power (on/off) button ,where I can click my note3 in with the original USB conector is in, just like the original cable(USB 3.0 if I'm correct) .... but it worked with kitkat and not with 5.x.x no battery charging.
Ps I hope the picture comes with it

When KitKat was first released there was an issue with Aftermarket or Non Samsung flip covers not charging (something to do with the chip ID).
It was fixed later I believe in many roms and with an xposed module (xposed doesn't work on lollipop).
I have an original Samsung flip cover and it works.
So it may be the same thing over again with Samsung trying to prevent non official branded accessories.
It may be worth while posting in the thread for the rom you are using.
Good Luck
Al
This has got no id chip and it worked smoothly until 5.x.x got installed....it is an external battery in shape of an hardcase flipcase where you click the note3 in with an USB 3.0 connector in the bottom of the note.
In the past i had an third party flip case as wel and also refused to work until I rooted and installed an custom rom with Xposed
My kid broke the top ..... so now it's not useful any more

Does anyone know yet if this:
http://www.clove.co.uk/htc-one-x-cr-s650-desktop-cradle-with-speakers-99h10722-00
will work with the X+?
No, but the one for the AT&T one X should work perfectly IIRC.
"Put AT&T's One X and One X+ side-by-side, and other than the color difference you'd be hard-pressed to tell them apart. The carrier's logo is slightly different, but that's about it -- even the docking pins in the back line up perfectly."
I'm not allowed to post links yet, if you want the source, just google the above quote in quotes.

Will do. Much obliged for that nugget!
Mmmhhh... Thought the same, but expansys EXPLICITLY states it's NOT compatible with the One X+ - whatever the reason might be.
Hi!
The CRS650 desktop cradle and the One X+ work together, but the One X+ doesn't have a dockmode..
So the cradle is only used as a charging device..
Enough for me

Is it possible to extract the necessary things for the dockmode from the normal One X and to shift them to the One X+?
I only have the One X+ so i can't looking for it on the normal X.
that looks good but quite dear for what it is

Sorry, but it works for me..
Using ARHD, but worked with stocked rom either..
Phone is beeing charged..
Landscape Rosie mod for custom rom now flips the screen also in dock..
Anyone tried any docks with the AT&T HOX+? I'm looking to replace my crappy old alarm clock and would prefer something that doesn't use the micro USB, but I've been unable to find anything. The HTC CR s650 seems to only work with the international HOX+, correct?
Doesn't work with one x+
I had the HTC One x and bought the speaker cradle from their website links, when my one x broke I got a one X+ as I thought all the accessories would work, physically they're identical, all cases work, but the dock doesn't work, it charges the phone but doesn't play audio.
There's no good reason for this, as the phones are virtually identical save for a few internal differences.
Rooted International HOX+ with Custom ViperX 1.0.1 ROM shows now dockmode, when connected to cradle CRS650 and works perfectly using all benefits from the cradle (charging and speakers)..
I had a One X (original dual core version) and it DOES NOT FIT the CR650 dock 100%. if you wiggle it around it will work for a second or so, but the international version and the AT&T version of the original One X have a slightly different POGO layout. Assuming the AT&T X+ has that same layout as the original AT&T One X, it wont fit. When I looked at my old One X with my AT&T One X+, the pogo pins look like they are in the exact same spot.

Please note: This will NOT fit AT&T HTC One X
Hi there,
just for your information: I have the CR S650 and the international HOX+ here. Charging and speakers work as they should, but theres no dedicated dock mode in terms of software. The HOX+ will rotate when lying in the dock, but the dock app is missing. If you need it back, you have to flash a custom ROM like InsertCoin...

No need to flash custom ROM. For dock mode on stock ROM just install two applications: DockMode.apk and HTC_Dock_Screen.apk. That is all. Tested on HOX + international with ROM 1.17.401.1.
CR-S650 modification for AT&T HOX+
After seeing someone mod the CR-S650 to fit the AT&T HOX, I ordered the dock and modified it to work with the HOX+. It was actually a lot easier than I thought because the POGO pins are only shifted over 1 space. So I took it apart, drilled a hole one space over and moved the entire POGO board over 1 slot. Now I have a working CR-S660 for my AT&T HOX+!
Moving the POGO pins over 1 slot lines up w/ the phone horizontally, but it's still a bit off vertically. I had to shave off the two small plastic tabs on the botton of the dock. This most likely means that I won't be able to use a case w/ the phone, but still very happy to have a working dock w/ POGO pins.

Interesting...so HTC used a different polycarbonat housing for the ATT Hox+? Why did they do such a thing? Are there also different accessoires like car holder and so on which are using the POGO pins?

So it plays audio or not ? I do not care about dock mode, i just want it to work as alarm clock. I'm talking about HOX+ black international version with red buttons and tegra3.
?
It does play audio via music player and of course system sounds (ringtone, sms, alarm...), but no loudspeaker during calls. But thats more a problem of the jelly bean update from HTC since it worked with ICS. And i have the One X+ you described, international version.
My USB mouse and keyboard have stopped working since ee pushed out the android 4.4 update. This is with both a cheap USB otg cable and the official Samsung multimedia dock.
Had anyone else experienced pertinence with KitKat and USB otg?
Update: in security settings, set the policy level to normal.
All working again now, huge thanks to Lisa at EE.

Since upgrading to kitkat, my keyboard and mouse also does not work on my smart dock anymore. The HDMI still goes through to the display but it does not detect the usb keyboard and mouse.
the Smart Dock huh? they havent released one for the Note 3, and the latest one (which is old) seems to work, i wouldnt be surprised if Sammy stops the support in purpose.
damn, and i was so near on getting one.

Yes. I got my Smart Dock about 4 months ago and it worked perfectly. If I knew KiKat was going to break the functionality I would not have upgraded. Very disappointed. Really hope they fix it in an update.

on KitKat as well? How is the charging? How long does it take to charge the phone?
it is going to create inconsistent charges switching from dock to wall charger which differ in USB versions and power transmission.
Can you try to use the wall plug of the Note 3 in the dock, just curious if it will charge any faster...?

Smart Dock not working since kitkat upgrade
Hello XDA, this is my first post.
I had the same problems: 4.4.2 official version in my GT-N7100 and my Smart Dock is not working properly: the USB are not working at all.
I downgraded my Note 2 to 4.3 but it's still not working.
Before upgrading it was everything ok.
I sent an email to samsung but I received no answer at all.
Any sugestion?
Thank you
Hello,
I bought a new Z Ultra Google Play edition a few days ago. While the phone is OK overall is does not charge over the magnetic port, even though the battery shows as "charging". Tried on two different genuine SONY DK30 docks - same issue.
Has this been heard of? Is it likely a hardware of software issue?
Thanks!

Hey, I don't have a problem with the phone not charging via the magnetic port, but I have a problem with rotation lock when the phone is charging via the magnetic port. Basically, if i charge via mini-USB port or not charge at all, the phone's rotation lock works perfect. But as soon as I plug in the magnetic charger, rotation lock goes out of wack. Does your phone have this problem?
My phone's running the stock sony ROM, not rooted or anything... I have two different types of magnetic charger (one dock, one Magnector). Both has the rotation lock problem. I'm curious if anyone else experiences this problem and potential solution(s).

Update: I ended up returning the phone - the new one charges fine.
Hey guys, anyone have issues with MHL and the z2?
I have a 5 pin MHL adapter and cables in working order. I have tested with other phones in the house and they work fine.
When I connect the Z2 I get a blank (black) screen for a few seconds and then the HDMI no input signal comes up. If I play with the phone's touch screen I can wake it up to a black screen again for a few seconds. Never is the actual picture transmitted.
This is using the most recent paranoid ROM 4.6 Beta 3. I don't know if it ever worked on this phone because I don't think I ever tested.
Ideas?

alot of non stock roms usualy have these featues non working, this could be your cause, if not this then the cause could be your MHL addaptor, Z3 supports MHL 3.0 and this may interfere with other devices compatability
Apparently this issue was a connection issue. I spent some time playing with everything and got it to work. I am not sure why I had such a hard time with the Z2 when the other phones just worked right away and weren't fussy at all.. Such is life though I guess.

Hi there,
I am looking for a way to charge my i9100 without using the usb port, as it is broken. I do know some phones have external charging pins hidden under the battery cover - my wife's Nexus S has those. Nonetheless I couldn't find them on my Galaxy S II. Anyone had some experience with this? I do know one can buy and replace the usb port together with the whole bottom circuit board, which would probably fix my problem. But I got the phone for free to use before buying a new one and I did not want to put any money into it

Hi namarath,
I have the same problem. The usb flex cable I bought to exchange the broken one was broken itself, which is common. As a solution I bought an external battery charger for just 5 Euro on Aliexpress. Works fine since I have two batteries. The indicator light switches from pink to blue when charged. Be warned that this light is bright like disco lights
Cheers

Buying a broken replacement USB port/board assembly is NOT common......buying the WRONG version of the board IS common....There are 4 different non interchangeable versions.
See this guide that I wrote for explanations.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335961
But yes, I agree, an external charger and spare battery is a good option....I have done this for both my S2 and S5......

Hi keithross39,
Well, unfortunately in my case everything but loading the battery did work with the new flex cable which indeed had the same version number. So I was one of the few to pick a broken one But thanks for your work in that area!
Cheers
