This recovery is compiled from Omnirom (Android 5.x) and repack with Android Image Kitchen (the kernel and dtb.img are extracted from invaderjohn CM12 boot.img on TWRP 2.8.3.0 to 2.8.6.0; TWRP 2.8.7.0 is repack with stock kernel and dtb.img).
Unzip the recovery and flash the .img file file with dd command or app like Rashr or Flashify.
What I tested:
TWRP: 2.8.3.0: backup, restore, factory reset, wipe system, AROMA Filemanager, MTP.
TWRP 2.8.4.0: backup, AROMA Filemanager, MTP.
TWRP 2.8.5.0: backup, AROMA Filemanager, MTP.
TWRP 2.8.6.0: backup, AROMA Filemanager, MTP.
TWRP 2.8.7.0: backup, restore, install, wipe ( tested by @eta82),MTP. Vibration is not working (tested by @cretu01 and @unexpected0ne).

Don't try it if your bootloader is locked!
How to enter in recovery using hardware keys :
1.Turn off your smartphone.
2.With the smartphone turned off, press and hold the "Power" and "Volume down" buttons at the same time
3.Keep pressing the buttons until "LG" logo appears, release the "Power" button, and immediately after, re-press and hold it
4.Once the "Factory Hard Reset" screen pops-up, release the hardware keys
5.Press the "Power" key to reset the smartphone. NOTE: to cancel, press "Volume Up" or "Volume Down"
6.Press the "Power" key again to confirm the reset, and wait for the smartphone to enter in recovery.
This method will not factory reset the smartphone.
You can find here a guide to unlock the bootloader. My advice is to edit your aboot.img, instead of flashing one from that guide, because it seems that not all aboot.img are identical (my aboot.img from my D620r is different from aboot.img posted by Zaaap72 from his D620r).

Internal sdcard mount at /sdcard not /data/media
There're option to select internal/external backup & restore, at the folder title. At first I confuse because default backup location is internal.
Version History
2013/11/24 - Fix Wip /data problem. TWRP don't format /data by default do /data/media is preserved. But you have an option to format /data.

CWM non-touch version is built with every CM rom but it a little inconvenient to use. Touch CWM can be built from http://builder.clockworkmod.com/. P760 is already in its support devices.
I think TWRP is more usable and faster (without md5 check). I also use touch CWM for P768 for a long time before switch to TWRP.

It's don't work in nandroid manager even if you put /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 in destination.
The safest way to flash it is via fastboot.
But I've tried another method by using dd. But you need shell access to do it, and if you make some mistake you may soft brick your phone.

Which rom were you running when you rebooted into recovery?
Stock, so CM11s.
mine still is not good. i treid to reboot to get it to hold the no hardware buttons. didn't reboot. tried about 10 times. eventually booted intot this new recovery and reflashed rom and booted it up. it's a bloody weird looking boot- no boot animation- made me think it was screwed again.
did you have to do anything to get it working again? Wipe entire device or just data partition?
Working good here, but I had no issues with the official build. I have an international version, 64GB OPO.
It's nice to see some additional features added, though.
Just helping out, packaged in a flashable zip for those with current CWM or TWRP recoveries, tested and working, enjoy everyone.
Flashed with the zip in the post above, worked flawlessly, was able to backup my EFS partition which is what I was looking to do. Thanks!

Guys i wonder when you press efs restore is it
fastboot format modemst1 & st2
or
fastboot erase modemst1 & st2
or may be both? in that case in what order?
I flashed the one in OP, but the system does not see any partition ?
Can I flash 15th without bricking the phone
[EDIT] I tried a second time, and now it´s ok, partitions are there and backup is currently running

Question - now I ask this to see how you may do this and possibly help others from waiting for a zip. Now are you simply renaming the image file from TWRP to recovery.img and placing it inside an already created zip file for flashing. A zip file that of course was created for an earlier version of TWRP lets say

TWRP cannot access the /data partition because it is encrypted. I did "FORMAT DATA", then rebooted to recovery via TWRP > Reboot > Recovery. Now the TWRP should be able to mount /data and you could install supersu.

I do understand that it will wipe all the data over the phone. But as per my experiences with S7 & S7E, encryption is enabled by default on Android 6.0 MM. Unless you disable encryption & reformat data, TWRP won't be able to mount /data. The kernel image I posted does not encrypt the /data partition so that you would be able to mount it in TWRP. But after flashing kernel, a FORMAT DATA is required to flush previously encrypted /data. I am sorry, but this is how things seems to work with Android 6.0. Unless TWRP includes support for encrypted partitions, we need to wipe it fully to be able to access it.

TWRP
Guys recovery.img is 3.2.1.0 twrp and twrp.img is 3.1.1.0 but 3.1.1.0 is able to backup oreo firmware and restore it but 3.2.1.0 is giving errors. 3.1.1.0 is more stable than 3.2.1.0 for us, that doesn't mean it can't flash zips the thing is it can't do backups and restore. I would prefer to use 3.1.1.0 for stability.

It is built from source and not ported.
Download the recovery image and install it in using flashboot using "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
But make sure you are having adb and fastboot installed with drivers

Lenovo k8 note twrp encrypting again and again
I'm using Lenovo k8 note ,I have flashed latest twrp recovery in my mobile ,it shows internal storage 0 in twrp recovery so I have formated, and then rebooted again to twrp recovery to confirm that it's showing my internal storage ,it shows internal storage correctly.
Then I turned on my mobile and rebooted after 15min again it's showing internal storage 0 and I'm unable to mount internal storage also
Please help me I have formated 5 to 6 times but it shows internal storage 0 again I can't decrypt my mobile

Flash magisk after formatting internal storage
Thanks bro, but it is not fixed by installing magisk after formatting internal
It has been fixed by following steps as given below
1) I formatted my internel storage in TWRP
2)flashed force decrypt.zip which was given in XDA developers
3)again formatted my internal in twrp, then I rebooted my mobile
4)again I rebooted to TWRP recovery and installed magisk manager
Bro could you please explain the procedure to install it. I've unlocked the bootloader what to do next??

3.1.1.0 is twrp.img and 3.2.1.0 is recovery.img
Here is the link

@Niallx
Bro are you asking about (force encrypt.zip )and ( force decrypt.zip) ?
1).Force encrypt.zip will lock your internal storage , then it will show as internal storage 0(ie it will hide internal storage) in twrp after rebooting
2)force decrypt will unlock your internal storage, then it will show internal storage files in twrp (in force encrypt internal storage will be not shown)
To show your internal storage you should flash force decrypt.zip and then you should formate your internal storage in twrp (if you are not doing this your internal storage will be hidden & shown as 0mb )
no command error
When i boot into recovery it shows no command with a laid down android symbol...i used the stabe recocvery ver 3.1.1.0 i.e twrp.img.
Pls help
I have installed Oreo twrp beta.img in my Lenovo k8 note two times successfully. And factory reset device using twrp. Then internal storage is ok. After reboot the system the bootloader is stuck. Device is hard brick.

These instructions are for stock recovery only...
For flashing twrp use these command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
And then
Code:
fastboot oem reboot-recovery
what about decryption, is it working? i read "format data" or "disable forceencrypt" everywhere, but this is not a fix for decryption, it just removes the encryption. twrp is able to decrypt encrypted userdata, for some devices out of the box with default_password
so anyone successfully used this twrp with encryption? in the other two threads, decryption is mentioned as bug, but not here... does that mean you fixed it?
other question, can someone provide lk.bin + seccfg.bin (unlocked bootloader) would be helpful
