Managed to install cwm 6 and cm11 in the end. Do you have links for any other roms?

Right now I'm using cyanogenmod 7.1 and now I want to install MIUI rom,
do I have to remove things first to install it or can I install with odin right away?
I have searched evereywhere but I couldnt find an answer.

Its a question of following the instructions for the rom you intend to install .

Updating/switching roms (CM)

Hi, I have updated and rooted my phone a while ago so I have forgotten a few things... I have CyanogenMod 9.1.0 and android version is 4.0.4... And now I came here and saw that there is android 4.2 and CM 10.1.... But I didn't found any information for updating between those two, there is only for coming from stock firmware. Can I just download 10.1 and install it from Clockwork mod or should I first update to 4.2 and how to do it?
Wipe data/factory reset after flashing the kernel for the new version and install the rom in cwm. All your data will be lost, but your phone should boot
Btw please ask questions in the Q&A forum
Sent from my Nexus 4 running Android 4.2.2

Sorry for the wrong forum...
And tnx for the reply... So no need to update to 4.2 manually, just kernel for rom and then rom?? Will it be like that for any onther custom rom?

Yes it's the same for all custom roms. Flash the kernel, boot in cwm and do the wipes, then flash the rom
Btw you could read my guide on how to install a custom rom/kernel to get more information. The link is in the "Roll up sticky thread" in the stickies in general forum :good:

this is the manual way (automatic is SEUS ).. but to ur question yes, it so:
before installing rom, check which kernel needed for this (or if its inside zip, to flash BEFORE install; via fastboot..)
if u switch between stock ics & cm builds OR between cm9 and cm10(.1) FULL WIPE IS recommended!!
if u do only a upgrade like install newest version of smae rom on ur phone u can WIPE NOTHING! (only if u get problem )
yes 1st kernel (recovery (CWM) built in) then ROM ; maybe some addons/gapps (google apps), dun

[Q] Install Philz cwm6 on I9100G

Hii!!
I hope I am not making an error by posting here, I am a little new to here so be king please
I just want to install Philz CMW6 on my I9100G so I can install a kitkat custom ROM; I have been facing problems with this, I tried many ROMs ( CM11 unofficial, SuperNexus, SlimRom, OmniROM .. ) but I failed everytime, I realized that my CWM was not suitable. So I started looking for it I found a good thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860 after installing the CWM it goes right installing ROMs but got stuck into bootloop.
So, if someone can give me the .tar.md5 file I can flash using Odin or maybe another thing to take care of.
Thank you
PS: I had CM 10.2
Running official stock ROM : JB 4.1.2

Try this steps:
1. Use the method in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365701) to flash JB stock + root. note that it's better to flash the kernel via recovery after it's on your external sd-card or sideload with adb. This way you don't get the triangle warning and no binary count.
2. Download the kitkat compatible CWM from here: (http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyS2/recovery/CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.zip)
3. Flash the CWM and reboot to recovery (advanced -> reboot recovery)
4. Flash your Kitkat rom (with all the necessary wipes of course )

I tried this but I got stuck on boot again, and knowing that the CWM that you gived don't work :/ ( my model is I9100G I think that this is the reason ).
I have read somewhere that maybe the wipe data / factory reset is the source of problem. I am not sure where I am doing wrong
thanks

I had already rooted my phone and installed Philz recovery.
The problem is that I keep getting the same error: status 7. I saw I need to update my Philz recovery but I don't understand how to do that. Can someone help me with that? After I update the recovery I want to install the rom Beanstalk with Google Apps is this compatible?

place both the zip file the cwm one as well as the KK rom (beanstalk in your case) on ur phones internal sdcard.
then reboot to philz recovery and first flash the CWM zip and then again reboot back to recovery.
Do all the wipes using the latest CWM recovery as per the install instruction on the Bean stalk thread and flash the rom.

Try installing a slim/micro/mini gapps package. The gapps package you are trying to flash requires more space as there are more apps associated to it. The packages I mentioned has only the essential gapps for your system. You can search for them on xda.

Why use 19-07 ? The last (25-07) works better.
You can find cm7 here and cm7 specific kernel here. Flashing instructions are rovided in these threads.
Then flash cm11 kernel, reboot recovery (make sure it's 6.0.x.x version), mount /system and flash cm11 which you can find here.
