I tried to update firmware for my Star n9500 (mtk6589) - in my firmware ringer/speaker didnt worked !!!
i used SP flash tool, and windows disconected in the middle of the proces.
Phone was dead after that, now im getting error BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032) - [EMI] Enable DRAM Failed!
So no way to upload old or new firmware always same problem. I tested 3 computer + 3 different USB cables, always same error, 2 different firmwares (from needrom.com)
Windows detect phone as MTK USB port or some times (i still dont know how exactly) i get also detected as DA USB VCOM PORT (in drivers details i have id VID_OE8B&PID_2001) - but also in this mod SPflash tool (im using verson v3.1304.0.119) do not start to trnsfer data. (here programming dont start - so i dont get error)
Any idea how to fix the phone?

Nope, just the BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)
Make sure ALL files in the checklist on the side are present - Got similar errors when flashing rom without preloader to a different device.
There might be some clues to pick up here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943442
... I'd want to start with making sure you're flashing a rom that you're certain is made for your device - and make 100% sure Preloader is included!

I solved my problem.
As a last chance i tried to flash my N9500 with wrong firmware from Star S5.
And miracle - phone was flashed without problems , no errors.
After that was non functional, but this allowed me to flash original n9500 firmware, and phone was functional

i did root with motochoper and mtk6589 drivers and now have no system sound.. i have star n9500...help me
Iocean X7 Elite Brick
I have just received my Iocean X7 Elite and was about to install a new rom. I had successfully flashed the device and then was trying to flash
the recovery with SP Flash Tool.
After the recovery flashed my phone refuses to turn on I believe its somehow bricked but have no idea how this could have happened. I did
format flash i only downloaded the recovery to the device.
In Device Manager when i plug the phone it it either shows up as 'DA USB VCOM Port' or 'MTK USB Port'.
When I try to use SP Tool to flash the stock Rom back onto the device I get an error saying 'BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL(4032)
I have no idea what to do next can someone help me.

You guys are scaring me with the problems your having with flashing/rooting/recovery installation on the n9500. I just order one off ebay for my wife whos been a good miss' using her Optimus T and hasnt complained about it, well, to much. But I am glad that some of you have found help and or fix the problems yourself. I plan on ordering one myself but it looks like i'll have to leave it stock for a time until we got our own section on the forums which i think would help with cookin the roms and receiving help when things go a muck.

1 - I rooted success and use flash tool to flash reccovery but failed (hope to install Cyanogen 11 or any rom 4.4 cook ).
2 - It lost Sim sign, no service( I try many sim others but no result). And can not get in default recovery of system to restore or wipe data factory.
3 - I used flash tool to flash recovery, this time is success. But when I power on, it not work.
4 - I was tried many times but imposible.
Hope everybody help me.

1. Now, I am unable to see anything on the screen (screen flickers) - only hear Huawei boot sound.
2. The battery is needed for the PC/SP Tool to recognise it (it used to be without the battery).
3. Volume Up and Down button does not do anything.
Tried several times to flash original back-up files on two desktop with different SP-Flash-Tool versions (download, Format&Download, selected files, etc), but no success. I get S_BROM_DOWNLOAD_DA_FAIL (2004) error.
I can still download HUAWEI Y330-U01 rom again without the preloader via SP Flash Tool. However, can't download preloader or format it though as it complains S_SECURITY_SF_CODE_DOWNLOAD FORBIDDEN.
I think both errors relate to preloader (assuming Bootloader the same thing) being locked (not sure).
Any advice would be much appreciated
After searching all the internet and trying this and that just could not get it working.
Just about to give up - saw a strange folder on the HUAWEI firmware and after bit of trial and error – managed to restore ZTE preloader.

A friend gave me his cloned samsung s5 sm-g600v (MTK Device) and it was showing him some errors that he couldn't use the phone at all ex: com.android.xx has stopped ..
He told me to flash it
I searched for a firmware and i found many..
Downloaded Mt6275 because that's what it showed on Sp Flash tool and I tried to flash it
An error message pop up says : brom error : s_not_enough_storage_space (1011)
I had to untick USERDATA from Sp flash tool and try to flash and it showed me : PMT changed for the rom it must be downloaded..
Now I faced this problem before and the solution was to format the phone from the format section in Sp Flash Tool and Then go to download and flash the device
But it kept showing the same errors
In Format All+ Download: not storage space available
Download : Pmt changed for the rom
I don't know if the rom is not suitable for the device
But now the device won't power on at all
It only displays the charging battery when plugged in
The firmware that I tested were downloaded from Google Drive and other links provided in Youtube Videos or Blogs
Can someone help me flashing it? I mean if you can provide me with the correct firmware or the solution please am stuck..

Finally the solution it was in the good files versions, I used this one :
- OS : WIN10
- Tools: SP Flash tool V5.1744
- Driver : MTK V1.0.8 and install DRIVER AUTO 1612
- FIRMWARE : ac70-20180912-1740-New

Hi,
I have recently bricked my AC70HELLO and tried uncessefully to flash stock firmware (from firmwarefile.com/archos-hello-7 ) but always got STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH (with SP Flash Tools V5.1924 and V5.2020) or STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL (with SP Flash Tools V5.1744) errors (with MTK_AllInOne_DA or DA_PL defaults DA).
Could you please share the Download Agent and the stock firmware from Archos ?
I have asked Archos for it in vain, they respond me "Sorry we don't have any FW available for this device. Thanks for your understanding," which got me a bit mad... I mean if my device's constructor doesn't have its stock firmware then who does ?

I tried several guides but somehow they are inconsistent, incomplete or simply not working. Some say I need TWRP without a link to a working image, others say I could use fastboot which generates "not allowed in locked state". I found out myself that I could work around that error by running "fastboot oem unlock" but after flashing, my Hello keeps hanging in a boot loop. (also after "fastboot oem lock")
Fortunately with @fraenK 's link, I could revert back to stock.

Thanks but this is unusable without a working recovery wich I don't have since I'm bricked (corrupted logo.img so crash before booting in anything) would you know where I could find the download agent to use with sp flash tools ?

I'm looking to flash my device but it's hard to find informations for this device and nothing works for me.

I always have STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH or BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL.
Every time I plug my device, the detected USB is the "Mediatek PreLoader USB VCom", do you think it's the good driver ?

My AC70HELLO is still bricked unfortunately. I've got a corrupted logo.bin and no way to flash stock rom except with SP Flash Tool. But I can't get passed STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH error.
I tried this utility without much success...

With --force I still get STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH and the utility says "Device secure boot: False ; Device serial link authorization: False ; Device download agent authorization: False" wich is weird...
Let me know if you got any more luck with that than me.
If your AC70HELLO is'nt really bricked you can try to flash back stock recovery via fastboot.

Thanks for your tips, I gonna try with bypass_utility but without hope .
Maybe we need to do some hardware tweak to allow to flash the device.

In the firmware I found online, the file Checksum.ini refers to the version 1708 of SP Flash Tool, I tried with itn but without success, maybe it can be successful for you.
Unfortunately, I can't boot into recovery mode, that's why I try to flash with the Flash Tool.
If I succeeded to flash my device I will let you known.

I was try update my Hello 7 and now it restarting continuously.

Ok thanks. By mistake I'm flashed the Hello 10 ROM in my Hello 7, and now it restarting continuously. I can enter in fastboot but I cannot flash the ROM - error: FAILED (Remote: not allowed in locket state) Do you know another way to flash the correct firmware? I can not enter in recovery mode.

Thanks buzz-27, unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
Can you tell us which DA did you use ? I have tried all DA from the SP Flash tool with no results.
Maybe we have a different model/revision, mine has the FCC ID : SOVAC70HELLO
