Star n9500 / bricked - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
I tried to update firmware for my Star n9500 (mtk6589) - in my firmware ringer/speaker didnt worked !!!
i used SP flash tool, and windows disconected in the middle of the proces.
Phone was dead after that, now im getting error BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032) - [EMI] Enable DRAM Failed!
So no way to upload old or new firmware always same problem. I tested 3 computer + 3 different USB cables, always same error, 2 different firmwares (from needrom.com)
Windows detect phone as MTK USB port or some times (i still dont know how exactly) i get also detected as DA USB VCOM PORT (in drivers details i have id VID_OE8B&PID_2001) - but also in this mod SPflash tool (im using verson v3.1304.0.119) do not start to trnsfer data. (here programming dont start - so i dont get error)
Any idea how to fix the phone?

Nope, just the BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)
Make sure ALL files in the checklist on the side are present - Got similar errors when flashing rom without preloader to a different device.
There might be some clues to pick up here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943442
... I'd want to start with making sure you're flashing a rom that you're certain is made for your device - and make 100% sure Preloader is included!

I solved my problem.
As a last chance i tried to flash my N9500 with wrong firmware from Star S5.
And miracle - phone was flashed without problems , no errors.
After that was non functional, but this allowed me to flash original n9500 firmware, and phone was functional

It not work.

i did root with motochoper and mtk6589 drivers and now have no system sound.. i have star n9500...help me
Iocean X7 Elite Brick
I have just received my Iocean X7 Elite and was about to install a new rom. I had successfully flashed the device and then was trying to flash
the recovery with SP Flash Tool.
After the recovery flashed my phone refuses to turn on I believe its somehow bricked but have no idea how this could have happened. I did
format flash i only downloaded the recovery to the device.
In Device Manager when i plug the phone it it either shows up as 'DA USB VCOM Port' or 'MTK USB Port'.
When I try to use SP Tool to flash the stock Rom back onto the device I get an error saying 'BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL(4032)
I have no idea what to do next can someone help me.

You guys are scaring me with the problems your having with flashing/rooting/recovery installation on the n9500. I just order one off ebay for my wife whos been a good miss' using her Optimus T and hasnt complained about it, well, to much. But I am glad that some of you have found help and or fix the problems yourself. I plan on ordering one myself but it looks like i'll have to leave it stock for a time until we got our own section on the forums which i think would help with cookin the roms and receiving help when things go a muck.

All your data and settings will remain intact,but you will put back the original system files.

Click to collapse i am having the same problem, my model is ipro s3pro mt6577 android version 4.0.4 ms board. htt77_ics2 kernal version 3.0.13 and my phone stops right at the IPRO booting screen the last thing i remembered doing is moving around some files in the system and rebooting that was probably stupid but i need help restoring my phone i tried the system recovery by holding up, menu and power buttons and wiped the data to factory and cache partition and rebooted and that didnt work i tried sp flash tool but it doesnt give me any scatter files to choose from i tried mt65** preloader, it says it successfully download and install but it isnt in my device manager and when i try to connect the phone meta mode it keeps resetting and wont stay connected PLEASE HELP ME SOME AND I HAVENT HAD THE PHONE GOOD FOR A MONTH YET OH, I ROOTED WITH SHUAME

hi, im new to xda and tried a lot of TS what i have is : Model: GT-I9500 FCC ID A3LGTI9500 SSN:-I9500GSMH MADE in VIETNAM by SAMSUNG then i rooted it.... works fine for a few moment powered it off and turn it back on and.... the samsung LOGO is inverted and is not booting up past to that screen >tried to do factory reset/ wipe user data = still the same problem >followed TUTs on flashing >tried several ROMS = im getting " brom error s_chip_type_not_match (3168)" intalled pdanet and mtk droid tools = not detected please help me

ok so i've downloaded a mt6572 rom and it flashed -after flashing i tried to power the device and the LOGO is NOT inverted anymore yay -but its still stuck on the logo somehow =( -what can i do next?

Unbrick Blu Studio 5.0 II (D532u) Hi, My own this BLU Studio 5.0 II (D532u) that is bricked. The phone won't turn on, charge or boot system. Yet, i still can connect it to the PC. I have tried flashing Stock Roms for this model using SP Flasher with no good results. When i try to flash a stock ROM, it returns BROM ERROR : S_DL_PMT_ERR_NO_SPACE (5069) after 19 seconds. According to some forums, this error code (5069) in SP Flasher means "The size of a file is larger than the available / possible partition size - See more at: https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-439.html#sthash.0Bekm2lA.dpuf" and that i should try with another stock ROM.... I have tried with several stock roms, with no luck. Yet, although it's unnecesary, i have managed to flash the Preloader from stock roms of this model with no problem. Bottom line, things i have tried: - Several stock roms for this model - Flash only: EBR1, Recovery. - Format and flash all option. - Different versions of SP Flasher (with admin priviliges). - Windows 7 x86/x64 PD: This model uses MT6572 chip. PD2: I DON'T own any backup from this phone in any form.

I hard - bricked my E-tel Curiosity i2 smartphone..... That happened because, I tried to flash firmware of a phone which has similar specs as this phone and PreLoader became corrupted. Now it never responds to power buttons also. Not turning on. Before hard - bricking, the logo appeared but not starting. I wanted to flash this phone because I mistakenly deleted some critical system apps in its ROM and phone can't start and kept bootlooping. Help me to take it back to life.....
